Ski trip from heaven”
Staff were lovely and very helpful and attentive. The onsen was magical and was a highlight every day after skiing. Location is good as you can ski through the Forrest just down from the hotel plus they have shuttles running throughout the day from the hotel. Hotel was quiet and cosy. Breakfast is great with lots of options. Would stay again.

Good breakfast. Good location if you are skiing happo - one and eat at restaurants or hotels in wandano. Many of these you need to book. However it is about 4 km to hakuba town which is challenging in the snow with kids or skis and narrow roads. You have to take taxis at night if you Aldine walk. The hotel has a shuttle to take you to sakka slope, Adam gondola or bus terminal at specific times. They will also pick you up from the bus terminal on arrival. There are two shuttle buses that pick you up for skiing at hakuba 47 and imori. But to go to the other ski resorts you need to go first to the bus terminal and then on a specific bus. The triple room was a tight fit for 2 adults one teenager and a child. I would recommend getting a larger room. The onsen was lovely looking out to a snowy forest in the outside plus the inside onsen - built of beautiful pine.
The best experience in Hakuba”
It’s our first time in Hakuba to snowboard, this is the best experience to stay at Abest Happo. Yuika, her mum and the whole staff at this hotel made the best memories for us with their extraordinary outstanding service. I really miss their smiles! You can find shuttle bus easily from this hotel to all ski resort, plenty of car space if you drive. Breakfast is great giving you the feel that you are at home. We’ll definitely come back again!
Don't stay here unless everything else is booked”
Some reviews I read said this had a good location, but it doesn't. There are many hotels closer to the chairlifts. From this hotel you need to walk a long way to get anything, and there's a courtesy shuttle, but there's only one, so you can't rely on it. and there aren't many taxis in town. Don't make the mistake I did. Book earlier so you don't have to stay here.

Almost a ski-in and ski-out option. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice enjoyable outdoor onsen.
