"I have seen some reviews of this place that were less than complimentary, but my in my experience it was a solid place to stay. The hotel is located a little ways from the ski area at Tomamu, but the rooms and common areas were clean and presentable, the breakfast served each morning was good and the staff was very accomodating. Is this a 5-star hotel? No, but for the price paid, a very decent place to stay."

"We stopped in town for the night for the Snow village (which was awesome) and stayed at the Pension Ing. We emailed the owner in English about when to pick us up from the trains station with little difficulty. He even drove us over to the snow village and picked us up, which was very nice of him. The rooms are decent size for Japan, have everything you need and nothing more. There are no bathrooms in the room. You have to go down the hall to a communal bath room. It is clean and large enough for everyone staying there. The showers are in the form of a tradition Onsen- think hot tub with communal showers. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and all in all it was a wonderful stay with very accommodating owners. "
