Pingtung County hotels & places to stay

We booked a jacuzzi room and loved it. The hotel is truly a five star with world class service and amenities. The room includes complimentary daily fruits (apple, orange, banana, and kiwi) along with complimentary daily drinks (two bottles of water, small can of sprite, iced oolong tea, vegetable fruit drink and sport drink). The bathroom includes your standard amenities plus shaving kit, toothbrush kit and foldable hairbrush. It was nice to have a portable dehumidifier as it quickly dried our wet beach clothes. Without it, our clothes would have taken days to dry in the humid weather. The beach across the street Xiaowan (little beach) was well maintained by the Caesar Park Hotel and the hotel provides complimentary lounge chairs with beach umbrellas for the hotel guests. In our opinion, Xiaowan was a much nicer beach than Baixia (White Sand Beach) as there was no litter or trash on Xiaowan. The hotel pool looked really nice and inviting, but we never had a chance to use it with such a nice beach across the street. Everything in Kenting is relatively close and easy to get to. We heard there may be a free shuttle bus from Kaohsiung Airport to the Caesar Park Hotel, but we ended up taking the Pingtung Express bus which as a stop right at the hotel. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety which changes daily, but it not worth the $550NT per person when much better and cheaper options (less than $100NT) are available in the nearby town of Heng Chun.

My friends and I stayed at Howard for two nights on a trip to Kenting. We stayed in the deluxe double (mountain view), which was a large room with who king size beds and a balcony. I was 100% satisfied with the room. The bathroom included a separate shower and tub, and the shower areas was enclosed - this is not the case of many bathrooms in Asia, but is certainly my preference. The booking included a buffet breakfast, which is quite good - it includes traditional Chinese foods, but also had some western options. I am a Canadian vegetarian, and since arriving in Taiwan, I have struggled with the food, but I was very happy with the selection at Howard. The location of this hotel is fabulous - it is about a 5 minute walk from the night market, and has a tunnel that leads to a small beach, where guests can swim, or rent an umbrella and just relax on the beach. There is also a large swimming pool and two hotels at the Howard - I didn't spend much time there, as I'm more into the beach, but it looked nice. The only thing kind of strange about the Howard is that downstairs, on your way to the beach tunnel, there is a very large games arcade.play area for children, and it smells a bit weird down there. The staff at the Howard were very helpful - I remember a gentleman named Woody checked us in, and explained the amenities the hotel offers, gave us two free drink tickets, and a coupon to save on bicycle rentals. He also knew a little English which was nice. The Howard lobby entrance is actually about a five minute walk from the main street, but they have an employee in a go-cart who drives up and down the way picking up guests walking along. If you want to leave the lobby and go to the street, just wait a minute and the go cart will take you. You can also rent bicycles, electric bikes, and scooters on the howard premises. Note that the Kenting Express (major bus that goes between the bus/high speed rail station and Kenting), stops directly at Howard.

brand new seaside resort near the kenting area. excellent view from my corner deluxe family suite, which contains one huge bathroom with separate shower and bath tub. the suite has 2 connected bedrooms with an ensuite in one of the bedrooms. this caused a bit of an issue. i wish the entire suite has one more full bath as we need to juggle our shower/bath schedule. the suite can accommodate 6-8 people. the suite has a decent size living room. this is great for family get together. the entertainment system is a bit of let down. unlike other better 5 star resorts in the se asia, the suite comes with a tiny stereo. it does come with a nespresso machine and the drink(beer, soda, tea...etc) in the minibar is free. staff is very friendly. they'll try to accommodate your request. hotel pool is quite good for kenting standard. it's smaller than the others in the area. however, the view from the infinity pool is much better than the others in the area. food is ok. the hotel offers a dinner buffet and set menu for breakfast. you can drive to the busy kenting area for dinner and then come back to the hotel for some peace and quiet. if i can receive the same discounted price in the future, i'll go back to enjoy a relaxing weekend with my family. their current list price is simply way too expensive for what they offered. for that price, i'd rather go to phuket, koh samui, bali or other locations in the se asia.

We love this Hotel. Staff very helpful,, Mei who helped us to book for the snorkelling to watch the sea turtles and the snorkel guide are so experience. My first time snorkelling and the guide is excellent to get all the scuba gears fit exactly and my masks was perfect even swim with my contact lenses. We have fun playing cards near the reception and free flow of hot drinks there.The young receptionist is caring too and friendly. Is not near the beach but surprisingly we saw a little crab roaming along the pathway to our hotel room. Swimming with the sea turtles is amazing experience.. and the islanders really protect them. Met the young owner and he does live to the guest expectation.. happy serene and peaceful. You need to hire a scooter exploring round the island or electric bike ...one of our best holidays in Taiwan .

We booked the hotel a few days before our trip as we didn't have time to plan anything before the holiday. We are more than pleased that we chose such a nice hotel. It's not the peak season for traveling to Kenting as it's quite cold and hence water sports are not suitable for the seasons. Despite not being able to swim, the hotel provides sighting seeing activities, stars gazing or yoga classes. The hotel is very quiet as it is located at the hill. Free shuttle bus services will be provided upon request. The staff will arrange everything for you if you wanna go to the town or other attractions close to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were given welcome drinks and the drinks were delicious. We chose a sea view room and the stunning view is in front of you once you walk in the room. There is a little reminder of the sunset time (that's really sweet). We joined a night tour to see the deer so we had to have the dinner late. The staff told the kitchen that we couldn't have dinner until 10pm, but the kitchen agreed to open for an hour longer because of us. Despite having to order room service instead, we are very happy that the staff had been doe caring. Breakfast wasn't in buffet style but the food provided was quite good.

I would give Four Sisters more than 5 stars if I could. And I can't decide if I want to leave a review for others to know, or keep it as a secret so it wouldn't be over crowded in future. Having stayed at many 5 star hotels before, I could only say most 5 star hotels esp the chain hotels tend to be pretentious, albeit with good expensive hardware. Four Sisters takes the cake for not just being classy, but gives guests a very warm and personal service. Firstly the rooms are well designed, with each room having a theme of its own. The toiletries are a placed like a puzzle of Chuan Fan Shi itself - a nice touch to the luxurious looking rooms. The entire area of the villa is like a secret garden with flowers, swings and two lambs in the backyard. The breakfast spread is very well planned and thought after, with the owner Irene greeting guests every morning and introducing all the local good food

I stayed in this hotel for two nights just before the Chinese New Year holidays. The first impression of the hotel was good. It had a big lobby, with nice decoration. Our room was spacious and tidy, with really large beds. I especially liked the picture frame on the wall which showed a beautiful panoramic view of the kending beach. This hotel was quite near the Kending night market but not in walking distance. But you could travel to the market via the free shuttle bus provided by the hotel, which was available every 30 minutes during peak hours at night. I've rented a car, and so I could easily drive to the market within a minute. But watch out, you might not easily find a parking space near the market. Even if you chose not to go the the night market, you could find many activities inside the hotel, like bowling, snooker, electronic games, gym, ping-pong, electronic games, etc. My family particularly liked the breakfast provided by the hotel. You were served in a seaview restaurant with abundance choices of food. My kids were especially interested in making a waffle with the waffle maker but it would take some time as there was always a long queue there. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

One of the best I have ever stayed. The hardware is classy, unique, environmental friendly, comfortable and cosy. The best part is the service and hospitality of the staff, they are so friendly and helpful and it is done with sincerity and heart. They jovial mood and warm attitude make the stay like a home away from home. Will recommend to anyone who is visiting Kenting.

Advisable. Great for kids, with a big clean pool WITH full-time watchman. Games in the basement. At my reduced week=price at 35usd per night, we had 2 decent single beds. As a veggie, hotel food is always a problem, but not in this hotel. Staff will help out. Minuses are regrettable and few, for this is a good hotel. --Parking in the basement is not always possible, and in bad weather, that s an issue. --One of the many restaurant staff was plain rude., twice over. The others were nice enough. -Could not figure out who's in charge, not even after a week, so I ended up unable to address any issue anywhere, without actually lodging a complaint. -and nothing merited such a move. Would stay there again anytime at that rate

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I had plans to travel to kenting which is not too far. You have to take the express kenting bus from the main Hengchung station. It's about a 5-10 minute walk straight down the main road of the hotel. You can also take this bus to the aquarium and hubitu, a small fishery with cheap sushi a plate of twenty small peices for 100 nt. the hotel offers some old but usable bicycles which I used to travel to both places. It was a mission indeed but fun and worthwhile! You'll pass a lot of places for go karts and even four wheeler dirt bikes plus some places to go paint balling. The breakfast included is pretty standard. Chinese veggies fried rice sausages scrambled eggs toast tea juices and porridge. The bathrooms have full entities and the tv has good channels in Chinese and English. Close by are a lot of street vendors for BBQ and next door is a tofu desert place. In all the best feature is the excellent staff who were very helpful in giving me insight to what's around the area and how I could get there. Visit the aquarium for sure! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Hotel is situated in the middle between houbihu and eluanbi. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We managed to get a car to and fro the hotel with the help from the staffs and even managed to book an electric bike via the hotel. Am able to ride to the attractions with the bikes. There is no water kettle but there is a general water dispenser for use. There is tea provided but no coffee. Other facilities such as towels, shower gels and toothbrush are included. Hotel is a 2 min walk from the convenient stores and the kenting night market.

Very nice place and cozy rooms, very clean. Can enjoybhigh quality hot spring 24/7. 2. Good quality foods. 3. Can enjoy nice Taiwanese fruits at all time. However, considering it’s price, details of services can be improved. Dissatisfactory: 1. The level and cleanliness of table wares are not satisfying. We stayed for 2 nights and had received dirty table wares for more than 2 times. 2. Using too much disposable plastic table wares like straws, wraps. They make everything look cheap. 3. Service quality provided differently by different staffs. 4. We had a piece of broken plate chip while having rice cake. (We got a bottle of red wine in return for this issue.) Overall, it was a pleasant stay but we’ve expected more than what we got.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. I had to book a room in another city at the last minute. They helped me find a decent hotel right next to the train station where I was going! They picked me up from the bus stop. They took me around Kenting. They also had the morning staff cook my breakfast early so I could catch my bus to the next destination. It was the best stay ever!

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels across the word and it is very rare to find the place that you can truly say is faultless. Everything about my stay was superb, location, rooms, cleanliness, facilities all excellent. Faultless. Walk out the front for street night market and cheap food, walk out the back for the beach. Onsite parking, coin laundry available. Please note that Smokey Joes restaurant is still next door, it has nothing to do with the hotel any longer. 5 star hotel on a 3 star budget 👍

I have been to Kenting four times during the past year. Canan B&B is the best one I have ever stayed in. The location, the price, the service, the room, the parking conveniences, the staff, and the breakfast are all excellent. I like taking landscape photography in Kenting National Park, that was why I visited Kenting frequently during the past year. I surely will re-stay in Canan B&B again next time!!

We booked a 4 persons seaview room. Unexpectedly they upgraded us to a 2 level family flat. we were so happy. The scenery is excellent facing South bay. Within 5 min walk u can jump into the beach.n South Bay is full of people playing water activities. Not much restaurants around. u better go to the main Kenting street to eat. breakfast is in simple buffet type. good room, food and location. The is a bus terminal near 7-11 where u can go to White sand beach by blue line bus, go to the most beautiful beach in Kenting or go to have a seafood lunch and submarine boat in 後壁湖.

i have plan a graduation trip to thailand with my friends and we booked this hostel for 2night. the hostel room price is reasonable ,just per night. when compared to other hostel or hotel, b&b's price is lowest. the location of b&b is near to the mtr station and is located in a quiet and peaceful area. when we arrived the hostel, the staff is so nice to guide us to go up to the room and answer our enquiries enthusiastically. the room is so clean and tidy, but the light is quite dark. so, if they can improve the light in the room, that's perfect. and, the washroom is clean and tidy, the floor is not wet at all. in a nutshell, we are all satified with this hostel and will recommend to our friends when they travel to thailand.

Probably the best hotel that I have ever lived ! The hotel is newly built and every facility is like brand new. The location is so convenient and it embraces the sea view of south beach. I sincerely thanks the staff for their hospitality and the breakfast they put their efforts to cook for the guest especially thanks to vivi who has helped arranging a birthday surprise to our friend ! Strongly recommend to all tourist who likes to spend their valuable time to see the good of kenting !

Hotel is in a nice secluded setting, very easy exit off the highway but immediately in a quiet and peaceful place. Well of course the car race truck is very close by so during the day can hear the tires screeching and engines roaring, but not in the evening or at night when it is quiet. Great location to go to Dapeng beach and bridge or to Donggang harbor. Staff was very nice and polite and all facilities very clean and in good condition. Nice kids playgrounds too. The only thing missing is a swimming pool.

It's located just at the start of the night markets, so location was most convenient especially for midnight snacking. Didn't have a problem with the noise level as some had. It's 5 minutes from one of the entrances for the national park. A very convenient location, the staff were very helpful when one of the members of our party required a doctor. Breakfast is provided, usually a choice between a western breakfast (bacon and eggs etc.) or a traditional breakfast (noodle soup or congee etc.); it wasn't much - not buffet style or anything, but was enough to get something in your stomach before your next stop. The entrance to the rooms (past the reception) closes after 8pm (from memory) and requires your room key to enter before you get to the rooms. I thought this was an pretty neat extra blanket of security for the guests that were staying in this hotel.
