Great Value”
We stopped in town for the night for the Snow village (which was awesome) and stayed at the Pension Ing. We emailed the owner in English about when to pick us up from the trains station with little difficulty. He even drove us over to the snow village and picked us up, which was very nice of him. The rooms are decent size for Japan, have everything you need and nothing more. There are no bathrooms in the room. You have to go down the hall to a communal bath room. It is clean and large enough for everyone staying there. The showers are in the form of a tradition Onsen- think hot tub with communal showers. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and all in all it was a wonderful stay with very accommodating owners.

Pension ing is a accommodation nearby the expensive 5star hotel in the mountains. Provided nice food with nice people there, having a great time there with a budget price.

Nice facilities and value for money ”
Mr Tadayuki Natsui went to great lengths to accommodate our plans and transport us to and fro from The Tower as well as the JR train station. He is also very friendly and attempts to chat with us over tea when we were waiting. Facilities are clean and nice, giving us a homely feel. Highly recommend to eat at their restaurant for both their breakfast and dinner. It was value for money and tasted delicious. Will stay here again if we are to return to Tomamu.

Sweet and cozy stay”
The owner is so helpful to help us clear the snow on our car and give us some tips abt winter driving! Nice and cozy stay and breakfast. The only thing is the check-in time frame little bit short (by 6pm). Very close to Tomamu resort if you drive :) recoomend

Great place for skiing/snowboarding”
The Owner is very kind and friendly. He will send and pick you up from the resort centre where you can play ski/snowboard. Also to JR tomamu station. Make sure to try their dinner! Its superb! The room and toilet is very clean.

Great hosts”
The host was kind enough to pick us up from Tomamu Resort in the evening after we spent a day there. There is an excellent Japanese restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Despite location, the owner chauffeur us around from Tomamu station to Hoshino resort for skiing and ice village visitation. Great meal served.

Ing Tomamu民宿 is very close to the Tomamu resort. The 民宿 is very clean, neat and have everything you need. However, the woodern/timber floor was not very good at sound-proof so it was very noisy during the early morning and late night while other tenants go up/downstairs or back from the restrooms. We spent most of the time using the Tomamu resort facility nearby. It would worth to stay if you are looking for cheaper alternative around the area for just 1 night.

The hotel is a bit old fashion but the host is very nice. Both dinner and breakfast are nice. Close to Tomamu and you can go there within a short driving distance if you have a rental car.

Good location, nice dinner, no private bathroom”
The price is reasonable in Tomamu area. Can consider this homestay if you do not wish to spend too much in Tomamu. Nice half board meal (like fine dining). Everything is perfect except that it is shared bathroom (public bathroom).

The Pension is clean and tidy and the Onsen is a very nice amenity at the end of a ski day. The host is kind and accomodated us with a special request for an early breakfast to go one day.

Excellent”
+ - Super clean -Host was really nice (albeit the language barrier but it's no one's fault!!) -Really near Hoshino resort (for Unkai terrace) about 5 minutes drive -Greattttt food (french cuisine for dinner, american style breakfast) - -The onsen was open only from 4pm-10pm so close to 10pm, there was a mad rush to quickly bathe and wash up. And the onsen was pretty small, 4 cubicles to clean up. Also, the water isn't very hot and im not too sure if it's really spring water? ^ whatever disadvantage i mentioned above isn't something BAD and to be complained about bc there's nth they can do about it, it's just for future travelers to note that it's pretty inconvenient.

A cozy place to stay if you are visiting the Unkai”
A special building host by a friendly owner and his family. A few minutes drive to the place you take the cable car to Unkai Terrace. If you are staying this place, I strongly suggest you to pre-book the dinner and breakfast. I regret I had no chance to talk with the owner. He seemed to have many stories to tell.

A beautiful home close to nature”
It's a big house packed with many facilities, topped with great service and hospitality from the owners. The hot bath was such a good-to-have after a long drive to this cold region. Breakfast was very good too.
