I stayed in the SAN MARCO for 13 nights NOVEMBER 2009 and this was my second time staying here. The location is excellent, the staff are very helpfull always with a smile on their faces.For myself who loves the beach there is a free shuttle bus every morning and also to shoping centres each afternoon

A haven in the busy city”
I have stayed three times at San Marco, which indicates my satisfaction with the rooms, the service, and the friendly staff. Usually the stay is short so I appreciate the good brakfast and the bus to the city or the beach. While in the centre of things, it is pretty quiet, and the ability to store luggage is another plus.

very good hotel for reasonable price”
I have already been in this hotel 5 times. Very friendly staff and only 10-15 mins. to walk to naif road, gold souk, spice souk and abra-station. Also internet place around the corner of the hotel. They also have a free hotel bus every day to the beach and shopping center. Will come back again when i come to Dubai.

1) Certainly not a 2 Star! It needs to be rated as a 3 star hotel which is much better than most of the 3 or for that matter 4 Star hotels in Europe! 2) All staff member are very kind, helpful and informative. 3) Very much a family hotel 4) Location of the hotel and food served in the restaurant is not all that great but still the hotel deserves a 3 Star rating. 5) Given an opportunity would like to stay in this premises again 6) Value for money

Hotel is dated,but rooms clean.location not too good,a good 15 to 20mins walk to banyias square metro,which is main part of old Dubai..Breakfast is very poor with limited choices for western tastes.

It's a bit of a hole in the wall place off the beaten track in an area where every other shop seemed to be a grocer, a cell phone seller or a car rental place. Everyone was so friendly...one felt one had found the "real" Dubai instead of the 5 star image

Marco Polo in Dubai”
The hotel is a good value. The room is clean though a bit on the smaller side. The staff is efficient as it's a smaller hotel and there isn't major customer traffic. There are many local shops in this local area. You could easily pick up snacks at the local grocery stores. An internet cafe is a 1-minute walk from the hotel.

Overnight stay”
Location says: Opposite Hyatt Regency.....Opposite in this case means 6-700 meters away, down 100m on a pocket road..!! Have to call the hotel twice to locate it!! This is very annoying when you come late from airport, trying to find the hotel, get some sleep and up early again.. Second thing was the sound/noise from the AC fan in the room, it was on low but it was impossible to have it on nighttime...So i open the window to get some air. Just to find out that the airplanes took off / landed right above this area.. Room was small but sufficient for a night stay over, breakfast i didn’t try since i have to leave earlier than it started, staff was friendly, hotel was clean even though a bit rough.

STAY AWAY! Not worth it!”
Worst Hotel I have ever been in Dubai! Stay away if you are looking for a value for money hotel experince! Not worth it believe me! Starting from checking in, there were no parking for hotel's guests. We had to park the car at least 1km away which had to pay 50AED just to park overnight. The room was given at first didn't look the same as pictures which we complained to the reception and they tried to convince us that it was the same. After checking in we went out to have lunch and realized that we booked at the worst place in Dubai! No decent resturants, Dingy and dirty streets and even worse, Prostitues are everywhere! The hotel offered us lunch buffet for 30AED. It was really bad with only 6 dishes that are oily or badly flavored. The included breakfast was better at least. Room experince was good at first but outside noise was loud and we can hear the conversation from next room! I woke up in midnight because of an argue between couples next door! Even worse, next day morning there was no hot water whatsoever. We had to take cold showers! They didnt ask us how was our experince when checking out! What a joke! STAY AWAY!

San Marco Hotel”
The general experience was quite good though are some areas that really need improvement.These include the limited channel available, bathrooms need a some touch-up (the water logs on the floor and the plastic is an irritant).Your outdoor arrangement are quite good (the sand cruise and boat dinner was quite adventurous) but you need to do a lot more marketing.We only realized that there were such facilities by "mere luck".

Basic Hotel”
The reception is small. The staff is ok but they think they can handle 7 people at one time. So if you yel loud enough, he will help you and leave the person he is helping. Very bad for the customer. Rooms are small, breakfast don't expact much. Only for sleeping is ok. Small swiming poolon the roof.Stayed ther for 2 nights. Internetcafe just around the corner. Small supermarket just across the street. The staff was helpfull.

Hotel's guy is hospitable. If there was Chinese food for breakfast, I think it would be better. Due to a meeting, I have to extend one day to stay. But the price is higher than what I had booked thru Agoda. I think it will be the same in order to show the fairness.

Dubai Hotel Room”
I found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The service they provided was good and they were aware of one's needs and current situation. Also the desk was staffed 24 hours per day. The breakfasts were variable -- some good some merely OK. With a little more care and planning, the breakfast quality could be easily improved.

good but not for staying long”
We asked for non smoking room but they still gave us smoking which made our sleep awful because of the smell. But still ok for one night last minute stay. The staff are Good.
