Awesome Place to Stay in Furano”
We had a lovely 3-night stay at the Furano Natalux Hotel at the end of 2022. Our family of 5 (2 big kids, 1 small, and 2 adults) stayed in 2 side-by-side rooms. Rooms were comfy and clean. We took advantage of the onsen daily and it was clean, warm, and inviting. The staff was super kind and helpful - they helped with the city map, offering dining suggestions, arranging some transportation, etc. We did not eat at the hotel in the restaurant but we did have a few glasses of wine and really enjoyed sampling the local wine. Others were eating and their plates looked yummy to us! We found the location of this hotel to be fantastic for our needs - close to train station (like 1 block walk!), close to a grocery/convenience store, many dining options within 1 - 5 blocks, and convenient for excursion pick-up. Will definitely return!
Central location but dirty”
Hotel seems modern on the outside but rooms are jaded and lacking in maintenance in terms of cleanliness. As we walked to the room, there was a strong musty smell along the hotel corridor. That continued on into the room. It’s as if the whole place has not been aired for a long time. We had the corner superior room which at 40 sqm, the size is okay, though the layout was not so functional as the long walk way to the toilet area was pure wasted space. There was a heavy frosted glass door to the basin area and another heavy glass door to the bath room. Too many heavy glass doors! The basin area was too cramp and there was no clothes hooks to hang anything. The cement flooring of the toilet and the bathroom were cold and unlike other hotels, there was no toilet slippers (so just wear the disposable slippers). Cleanliness wise, I spotted too many areas that needed deep cleaning - the aircon vent had dust clumps, the rain shower head nozzles were all dirty, the water kettle was filthy at the sprout and at the base, the wall by the basin had stains. After a while, decided to close my eyes and be blind to it all. The only nice things are the view, the proximity to the JR Station (but we drove) and restaurants (though many required reservations and were otherwise full house, or else they were closed). Would have stayed in a nice air B&B in Biei if not for the fact that this trip was last minute and the nice options were all fully booked.

Furano is not the main sightseeing spot, Biei is. Hotel is therefore for staying as we are out all the time. It’s location is very close to station. We stayed in Condominium, which is very spacey and sparkling clean! Actually the hotel itself is very very clean. Beds and pillows are good and comfortable. But, the Additional bed, which is a foldable bed, makes noises when one moves… this is the only minus point of my whole stay. Spa is small and basic. But I like it as it gives me all I need! Not many people use the spa, so it’s like a private bathroom. Not many restaurants near the hotel, need a bit of walk to find some. Convenient store is in about 8 min. walking distance.

Nice hotel with great location”
*second booking* Location: hotel is just opposite to the Furano station. Very convenient. But we didn’t hear any noise from the station so far. Great view from hotel since the hotel is one of the few high rises in the area. Parking is free. There are a few car parks next to the hotel. Staff: We checked in in the evening. The receptionist spoke excellent English. He gave us a head-up of the hotel facilities particularly the hot bath on the ground floor. We had a situation of having a booking for two night and a booking for one nights. The front desk staff managed to give us a room for three nights so that we didn’t have to change room in the middle of our stay. He gave us a handout which has dining suggestions of the neighbourhood which is very useful. Room: We booked a superior twin room for three people. It actually has two double beds and one single bed. The room is very bright if we turn on all the lights. It has a kettle as well as a coffee machine. The bathroom is huge. It got a bathtub and a shower area. Breakfast: There were two options: Japanese course or western course. We selected Japanese breakfast for the first morning. The restaurant is not too big. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. They first served us a small bottle of Furano milk. Then they served us a set course of eight small dishes. Rice, juice, coffee and tea are refillable. The breakfast was exceptional! We eventually chose Japanese breakfasts for the rest of our stay. It should be the best japanese breakfast I ever had. Facilities: As far as i know, there is a vending machine and laundry room inside the hotel. The hot bath is on the ground floor. For ladies, only 3 are allowed to enter the female hot bath at a time. Although the hot bath is small, they have all the necessities. The bathing experience was wonderful. Our stay was superb. We would definitely stay there if we visit Furano again!
