It was a trip to Namhae with my parents, just the three of us. We arrived around 7 PM and when we tried to check in, there was no separate check-in desk or any guidance, so I called, and they told me to just go into a specific room. After entering the room and unpacking, I noticed there was only one bed where my parents would sleep, and since there was no bedding set prepared for me, I called the owner again. I mentioned that I had made a reservation for three people but was told there was no bedding for me. The owner insisted that it showed as a reservation for two people on their end, and that I would have to pay an additional 10,000 won to receive the bedding. I was really taken aback. I offered to show the email confirmation for the three-person reservation, but they insisted they only saw a reservation for two people and wouldn’t budge. I truly couldn’t handle it anymore. Eventually, since we weren’t getting anywhere, I told them that I would just sleep on the bare floor, and they replied, "Sure, go ahead!" and hung up the phone. I was so astonished that the mood for the family trip became tense, and after about three minutes, they called back saying, "I provided you with the wrong information! That room is reserved for another two people, and you have to go to a different room." It was really shocking and frustrating. Since the size and structure of the room were the same, I said I would just stay there, and they offered to bring me the bedding. They brought a thin sheet and blanket, and it was astonishing to see that such a small thing caused so much trouble. I’ve traveled a lot, but this was the first time I encountered such rudeness to a guest. Ultimately, the owner apologized, acknowledging it was 100% their fault, and I let it go, but it was truly an unpleasant experience. I recommend everyone to go to other nice pensions with friendly owners. This pension was truly the worst experience!
