Starting from when we went up to the lobby for check-in and saw the city view, we were able to start our trip feeling happy. All of the staff were kind. Even when we inquired about something via email beforehand, we received a quick and friendly response. Accommodations in the center of Tokyo's main downtown and tourist areas are expensive per night and the rooms are really small, but here we had no problem staying with two 24-inch suitcases open. The bathroom was also not too small and clean, so we were satisfied. When traveling to and from Narita Airport, there was no need for complicated transfers, and during our trip, we went to Shibuya, Ginza, Asakusa, and Kamakura, but it was very convenient to have the JR Yamanote Line and Asakusa Line (there was one more line, but I don't remember) so the travel time was not long and we only had to transfer once at most. The accommodations are about a 5-minute walk from the station, but there are elevators in the station and connected pedestrian bridges through DOKU SQUARE, so even if you have a lot of luggage, you don't have to struggle on the stairs. Various convenience stores, DOKU stores, and drugstores (Don Quijote, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Kokumin) are nearby, and there are many choices for bars and restaurants to go to at night, but the alley where the accommodations are located is quiet, so there is no noise. The floating population is moderate, so it's also nice to take a walk along the river towards Meguro after work. Also, the large public bath on the 16th floor is well-maintained and has an open-air bath where you can see the sky, so it was really good for relieving stress.

The hotel is located just a two-minute walk from Gotanda Station, and it is convenient to go anywhere on the JR Yamanote Line and Toei Asakusa Line. There are many delicious food and izakaya nearby, and there are also shopping malls and Don Quijote if you want to go shopping. The hotel is my favorite part. The reception is located on the 15th floor, and the lounge and terrace next to the lobby have a beautiful view at night, and there is also a fireplace for viewing, which adds to the atmosphere. The staff at the reception desk are friendly and provide good service. Of course, the hotel also has a luggage storage service, which makes our journey much more convenient. The rooms are clean and tidy, and not too narrow. The 16th floor public bath is the best feature. The open-air bath is very comfortable and the view is beautiful. I went to soak every morning and evening for several days, and I still miss it now. I hope to have the opportunity to stay again next time.

Gotanda Station is a convenient stop on the Yamanote Line, just a few stops away from Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Shinagawa. There is also a subway that goes directly to Asakusa, making transportation very convenient. This is an area that is not often visited by tourists, but there are many restaurants nearby where you can experience great Japanese cuisine. The hotel is very clean and spotless, and the rooftop bath is very relaxing. Enjoying the Tokyo skyline while soaking in the bath on the rooftop is an experience you should definitely try. There are many buildings near the hotel, and although our room may not have had a great view, we were very satisfied with everything else. It is definitely worth recommending!

The check in process was smooth and the staff that check me in was pleasant and very nice. The hotel is within 5 min walk of Gotanda station, super and on the same line as many tourist locations. There’s a Lawson downstairs and also supermarket close by. We booked a twin room and was a comfortable size for Tokyo. One down side is the room cleanliness. There were stains on the side tables and room table as well as hair from previous guest. There was also urine stain on the toilet seat cover. I had shared with the front desk and she simply just asked my room number and typed a comment under my booking. In most hotel I would have received a simple apology. I had stayed a Mitsui Garden many times and this was disappointing. I had also booked this room knowing that I do not need to bring basic facial products as they are available. The hotel has now remove the in room face products. It would be better to make basic products available again and at least share on website what is available so guest can be better prepared. Either way I had a pleasant stay.

The location is brilliant for accessing the rest of Tokyo with the underestimated benefit of being in a quieter suburb on the main Yamanote line (that takes you to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo and more within 15-20 minutes, simply because Gotanda is a quiet station right in the middle of this loop). The hotel is about 100 metres from the Gotanda subway station, and there is a supermarket adjacent to the hotel where you can access the Yamanote line platform directly (just go to the 4th floor of the supermarket building, no need to cross the bridge!). I stayed with my husband, mother in law and family friend, and we were all equally impressed by all the facilities, location and comfort of the hotel. We would all stay here again if we came back to Tokyo (this being our 3rd trip). Could not recommend enough.
