EXCELLENT HOTEL”

My family and I stayed at Karaksa Hotel Sapporo on 2 September 2018 and from 5 September 2018 till 8 September 2018. Unfortunately we experienced the 6.7 magnitude earthquake on 6 September 2018, 3am. This was the first time I experienced an earthquake and was very frightened. My family and I did not know what to do as the electricity were out and the water supply ran low towards the afternoon. Many of the shops were closed and the convenience stores ran out of supply. We were hungry, tired and scared. However, as we looked back, we felt very fortunate to be staying at Karaksa Hotel Sapporo when the earthquake happened. The reasons are as below: 1. The building was so new and built to withstand earthquake. Therefore we were safe, so were the guests staying at the higher floors. 2. The staff worked round the clock to ensure that we are comfortable. We saw staff running in to the hotel shortly after the earthquake (6 September 2018, 3am) and were still around on 7 September 2018 aftern

I stayed for 4 nights in Karaksa Hotel Sapporo, it was a great experience. Located in the heart shopping center with lot of restaurant. Karaksa offers good service and facilites. I love their outdoor hot tub and massage chair. They also gave me free coins that can be use in the vending machine as the rewards for choosing Eco Service. The staff was very helpful with good english make the communication more easy. They also gave me extra pillow as per my request on the booking form which not all hotel would give even though we asked in advance. Overall, I can say that I am satisfied with Karaksa Hotel Sapporo.

New hotel with great facilities, loved the location”

Really enjoyed our stay at Karaksa. The location was great - we were dropping off bulky shopping or going back to the hotel to use the toilet if required because it was just right smack in all the action of Sapporo. Location was in between Sapporo Station and Susukino so it was really easy to access Sapporo from hotel. Loads of shopping and eateries off once you exit the hotel. Staff were warm and friendly, always greeting you when you returned, even the Housekeeping staff were very nice. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel having a onsen facility - really great after a long day of exploring. Highly recommended!

First time in sapporo but not in karaksa hotels”

Our japan 11 days trip was booked at karaksa hotel, from osaka, tokyo to sapporo, all with different rules and facilities, i like osaka best for cheaper price maybe because its osaka, unli toiletries, no need to ask, for tokyo, breakfast is not worth the price , sapporo we love the onsen but still need to ask for toiletries. But all are in good locations, staffa ate great! Helpful and friendly.

Exceptional”

We stays at the japanese family room. The room wasn’t big for 3 people but futons made the use of space more convenient (compare to beds). The location was excellent and the hotel staff were prompt and friendly. We enjoyed the stay and would choose karaksa again when we come back to sapporo.

A Week in Sapporo”

We had two rooms in Karaksa, a double and a twin. The double comes with a king bed with bath tub and wc together. The twin comes with two large twin beds which can be joined together easily. It has a separate toilet and shower. The rooms are very clean and new. If you choose eco cleaning, you only get your towels and toiletries changed daily but beds will not be made. In exchange for eco cleaning, you get a coin each day which can be used at the vending machine on the 2nd floor. Water, coffee or tea is the selection. The onsen is also on the 2nd floor and is for hotel guests. Location is superb with an exit to the Tannikikuji Street. The subway station is about 10 minutes away, either the Odori Station or Susukino Station. The airport bus is just outside the hotel, opposite Sunroute Hotel. Its 1100 yen for adults and 550 for children. Takes roughly 70 minutes to the airport. The same bus can be taken from the airport to the hotel, but drop-off will be at Hotel Resol Trinity.

Clean hotel with friendly staff in a good location”

We enjoyed our 2 nights stayed in Karaksa. The hotel is located in the underground walking path to the Tanukikoji Mall as well as the Susukino JR station. There are also Famous Ramen and 7-eleven store located next to the hotel. We enjoyed the hotel hot bath as well. Will revisit again if we come back again to Sapporo.

Amazing New hotel with lots of modern features ”

Rooms has no view however who need a view when there is at less 4 USB slot for charging up your internet world with free WiFi in room and general area. The rooms comes with everything you need as a traveler ( basic needs not luxury wants ) and even include a handy mobile phone with 4G signal to be use when exploring the wonderful Sapporo city ( contents is restricted to mainly Tourist attraction info ) Electronic safe box beside the front desk using room key and pin. Main lobby lifts are room key activated and so is the 2F hot bath entry door ( Hot bath is free for guest ) Parking at hotel car park for guest is 1200yen/day however do note that the charge will varies depending on how many times you park and retrieve the car ( you have to pay every time you pick up your car and have to hand in the parking ticket to the front desk which they will read a dates of your stay on the ticket to entitle for guest rate parking ( not a big deal if you are mainly a 1 retrieve per day type of traveler )

I stay for 2 night conneting room in karaksa hotel Sapporo，room are clean and new ，bed is comfortable and good location，behind have a ramen shop 一风堂，ramen is delicious，i will recommend my friends stay this hotel，will definitely come back.

Excelent and Superb Location ”

Very close and near to everywhere, have another gate access that connect to Tanukikoji . Room is quite nice and have connecting room for 6-8people. Have Onsen too at 2nd Floor. OVERALL everything just excellent and if we go to Sapporo again we will stay at Karaksa Sapporo Hotel again for sure.

Sanctuary in Sapporo city”

Karaska Sapporo was a calming sanctuary for our family of four, 1–5 Dec 2019. The rooms and amenities were pristine. The English-speaking staff was patient and ready to help. When our room’s air-conditioning emitted a ceaseless noise through the night, a staff was swift to attend to our complaint. The noise persisted, however. As we had adjoining rooms with our teenage sons, we declined the offer to change rooms as that would entail packing our luggage (a chore our happy boys were not prepared to do). The hot bath was superb, but could get distressingly crowded at peak hours. The ensuite outdoor bath was an exquisitely designed sanctum, lit by a ring of light around a cylinder “chimney” that reached to the sky. When in winter, snow floated into the “chimney”. The rear of the hotel had direct connection to Tanuki-koji shopping arcade, with restaurants, pharmacies, convenience stores and gaming arcades. The bus-stop to New Chitose airport was just round the bend from the hotel.

Perfect location and very clean”

It was our first time in Sapporo and we weren’t sure which area to stay. After some research, we found that Susukino area suits us better as there are more restaurants and things to do here compared to Sapporo station. Hotel is perfectly clean and a good space for a Japanese hotel. We love the lounge area tatami style too. There’s a hot bath and a 100 yen for 10 mins massage chair. The location is perfect! There’s two entrance to the hotel and one of it is in the Tanukikoji shopping stretch which is shaded and perfect to escape from the cold outside. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Hot SPA & Good location”

I enjoyed my stay in Karaksa Hotel, hotel is clean and new with a in-house spa, I visited the spa every night without fail. Room size is acceptable but the bathroom is a little small. Good location, it is at the famous shopping street Tanukikoji with plenty of restaurants and shops. Best of all, the stop for the Airport Shuttle bus is just next to the hotel back entrance.

Exceptional”

Awesome hotel. Right in the heart of Sapporo, which I did not know till I arrived. The back of the hotel leads to the Sapporo shopping mall which has a long pedestrian walkway lined with shops on both sides. and the train station was right across the backdoor of the hotel. A lot of shops that opened till 11pm. And the onsen was good too. Room had connecting rooms too.

New and modern hotel ideal for tourists ”

I had really enjoyed my stay at the Karaska Sapporo hotel. Brand new, it’s the embodiment of renowned Japanese hospitality. It’s no frills but you get all you needed in this exceptionally clean and modern hotel. I commend the staff for their excellent service, especially to the lady who took the trouble to show me where Ippudo ramen is before my checkin time. It’s ideally located in the middle of the Tanukikoji shopping street where I literally ate and shopped til I dropped every day.

I'm so happy for choosing this hotel in Sapporo. Travelling as a group of five, so the connecting room was great. The hotel is still new, so you can expect that it is very clean. The location is great, in the middle of tanukikoji. Access from the metro station is easy, just follow the instruction in the hotel website, and you won't get lost. Staff were all nice and helpful. Remember to visit the second floor for the bath, massage chair (coin operated), and great choice of selection of beverages in their vending machine.

Helpfull staff and great location”

Hotel very great location, lots of restaurant, cafe, shopping places at backside door hotel, easy to access from JR station sapporo (cost 800-900 yen/trip), staff speak good english (i forgot his name). Close to Oodori park, etc. I would like to stay here again if i ever come to sapporo again.

Hotel is superb, ease of access , fantastic neighbourhood, great property”

Hotel is very easy to access from/to airport since only a few steps away from airport limousine stop using chuo or hokuto bus makes you hassle free from/to airport. Surrounding of the hotel is very nice since its locate in susukino (tanukikoji to be exact) which have a complete option of dining, drugstore, convenience store and souvenir shop. Hotels property is new, very clean , rooms is spacious. A value for money. Definitely will stay again here when going to sapporo again.

Great Location!”

This hotel is right smack in the shopping street. It's between Daimaru and Susinko area, making those areas both within walking distance. Odori Park & the Sapporo TV Tower is also nearby. There is a onsen in the hotel, opened 24 hours, but it is very small, with only 1 hot onsen. It's just a good to have, I only went for awhile and felt it was too cramped (bcos there was quite a fair bit of people). The hotel has washers and dryers for your use at a fee. It's also pretty crowded, lots of people using this. The dryer is not that good, all our clothes had to go through multiple rounds of drying (added $!!). The room was very good, very modern switches and compact layout. It was very comfortable. Parking is also available at 1200Yen per day, with multiple re-entries allowed.
