Cosy Hotel with Friendly staff”
We chance upon this hotel recommendation from Agoda. Sad to say we happen to arrive in Taichung during the Sula Typhoon and our schedule was all affected. Had to stay in for one full day for our 1st day. The Hotel is small and cosy and the rooms are very clean. Daily cleaning and replenishment of the mini bar are FOC. Daily breakfast are simple but nice especially the congee and dishes. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always willing to help us call for a taxi and give recommendations for places of interested to go. The location of the hotel is quite convenient as it is are 10mins walk to the Taichung Railway Station and to the Bus station where it is accessible to the HSR and TRA. On the Left of the hotel junction is the Zhong Zheng Night Market with lots of nice local delicacies to eat in the evening and night.

Clean & relatively oldish design of rooms”
Pleasant stay as most amenities were provided. As for a suite, it isn't as big as you thought. It is about a twin room size with a wide toilet. Hotel is not near the Taichung train station, recommend to take a cab down for about NT180. They own 2 hotels under the same name except this is Zhong Zheng while the other is Zhong Shan. Bear in mind to get the name card once you reach the hotel to avoid taxi driver going to the other hotel in Zhong Shan. If you like night market, you must visit Feng Jia Ye Shi. It is a must go place.

Clean room with excellent staff and good breakfast”
a short bus ride from taichung railway station, the small hotel welcomes you with open arms into its cosy abode. excellent staff who are friendly and extremely helpful. nice pond with koi greets you as you head to the elevator. along the corridor to your room the unique, well-thought-of design with an air well and mirrors makes the place bright and cheery. with good feng shui as well. room was comfy and cosy; most importantly very clean and with no foul smell. large lcd tv goes along with a large bed for you to settle in. very big and clean toilet for a 3 star hotel with a bathtub equipped with a jaccuzi you can turn on as you wish. overall a very pleasant experience. would return again.

Moderately clean room at a cheap price”
The hotel is conveniently located in the central area of Taichung City. Our flight was delayed for one hour and it was 11pm when we arrived. We had no choice but to take a taxi to the hotel. It costs around US$20. The hotel provided quick check-in and they also helped in receiving my package delivered earlier. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room was moderately clean - a bit old though. There is a massage bathtub at the bathroom - which is awesome, but I think it could be cleaner. The room provided free WiFi access and a LAN port. Password can be found in the hotel catalogue. The room has air-conditioning, but it was quite hot and the temperature remained at 27 degree Celsius even though we had set it to 15. We called the desk for help but the problem was not solved. The hotel is in close proximity to the night market as well as some shopping districts (beyond walking distance). It is also within 20 minutes walking from the Taichung Railway Station - and from there you can take the train to travel to various places in Taichung. All in all, for the price I've paid, the value I received is acceptable. The hotel is clean overall though a bit old. I'd consider staying here again if I visit Taichung again and don't find any better deals elsewhere.

We found Jhong Jheng Kaoyuan a good place, with an extremely nice and efficient staff. We would recommend this hotel to those who - like us - visit Taichung with some strategic goal, and so wish to be near the train station. The hotel is good value for its price.

Great rooms but quite far from bus station”
Generally, the stay is pleasant. But i found a little bit away from the bus station. Also, it was not that easy to locate the hotel when we first come out from the "Zhong Zheng bus station". Suggest to take a bus from the bus station and get down at "Zhong Zheng Yuan Zi Jie Kou". Also, the wireless is not working and it disturbed us a bit as we do not have internet access abroad and unable to contact our family (we contact our family using internet). Other than the above, the stay is pleasant!!

Nice Hotel”
i enjoyed staying there as it is quite centrally located. i acn walk to the national museum of fine arts , the national museum of natural history. the reception is very good and also give me the room though i arrive the hotel earlier than 3;00p.m. the breakfast is nice as it contains western food and the taiwan style breakfast. i enjoyed the breakfast as well. in addition, they can give me a room on the high floor hence, i can enjoy the view better.i recommend this hotel

Excellent hotel and value for money ”
This hotel is absolutely fantastic, very convenient and the best value for money in town. We had a charming and very clean room, with a huge bathroom, a comfy bed and even a small buffet breakfast (with Taiwanese style vegetables, eggs, and meat, and a small western choice of breads, peanut butter, fruits and salads). Just note that the very smiling staff doesn't speak a word of English, and that coming in with your agoda reservation number would help the check-in process.

Boutique hotel close to railway station”
Was given a big family room with jacuzzi and steam room(Didnt expect this!).Didnt utilise the jacuzzi. If you were to use the steam room, you'll need to on it for about 15 minutes before you can feel the steam. Room is clean. Breakfast is simple. But there is nothing much to see around the hotel unless you want it close to Taichung railway station (about 20 minutes walking distance).

Comfortable stay in e commercial suite, well stocked even though its furnishing hints of a late 90s built but still well maintained, great friendly front desk who is helpful with directions etc, breakfast is simple fare but enough to fill up (Taiwanese porridge) with a varying selection a day. Very near Chong Hua night market n also three four blocks to a day market. Its not close to taichung train station but I was still happy in a comfortable straight walk of 15 mins (I pack light though). I was ok with location as I'm at ease with public buses (its along the Chung Cheng main thoroughfare) but those wih big bags or kids might reconsider.

in the main street, a short taxi ride from the Taichung station. a proper hotel that is very standard. good for the price, breakfast is good. The bathroom is excellent, has a great jacucci tub.

Clean rooms with efficient service ”
Apparently there are 2 hotels of the same name but on different street. Unfortunately, we were booked into the one in the old city which is quite a distance to shopping centres and night market. Our mode of transport was by taxi. The hotel seemed to have been newly refurnished and we love it's cleanliness. Our rooms are of reasonable size and are comfortable. We like the way that hot drinking water is always available thus we need not boil water with a conventional kettle. we love the breakfast - congee with a good spread of side dishes. For those who don't like congee, bread are also provided. Staff are friendly and helpful when approached.

Usually while staying in a hotel you will face some ( small or big )inconvinences but to be honest in the hotel we didnt face any.they did make sure our stay was good and once we ask something from staff immidiatly they full fill our request which was a point to be noted one.for sure will recomand this place.
