Comfortable Stay”

I travelled with 2 young kids. They had 1 outdoor hot onsen and 2 indoor hot onsen, 1 cold pool, 1 sauna. It wasn't crowded when I stayed in mid may. Staff were nice as well. We slept with 4 futons, and it was very comfortable. Dinner was a set dinner and it was very filling. The individual dishes weren't mind-blowing, but it was good comfort food. Breakfast was buffet style and quite yummy with a mixture of Jap and Western offerings.

Outside baths are located right above the waterfall, but have no views due to the fence, a bit of a shame

Absolutely bad”

I never stay this hotel again. Never recommend to my friends to stay here. Every things here are bad and mad. Dinner is like a leftover, I thought it was not foods for a customer. Stop messing around.

Great outside bath”

Next to shiratage waterfalls. So close that male outside bath walkway can be seen from the bridge nearby. But great outside bath with not so hot water with snow falling and light classical music playing in the background. Will visit again if I come here.

The meals were delicious, and the hotel was clean and spacious. It was worth every penny. The location was great except far from town and during the winter, you need to be aware of the bus schedule. We had to ride in a crammed bus for an hour to get to the hotel because there were so few buses and options to get there, since there were no taxis during that time. Line up EARLY for any buses you plan to take from there.

Good value Ryokan type stay with nice outdoor onsen! ”

Really good value. Not an upscale kaiseki dinner but sufficiently enjoyable to give us a memorable experience. The outdoor onsen was really nice and the free shuttle to the blue pond was a nice bonus. I like the fact that it had pickups from Asahikawa Station which made it really easy to get there if you don't drive. The hotel is just near the Shirogane waterfalls which was absolutely magnificent!

Good price & nice surrounding , Lovely outdoor onzen”

Hotel located near Blue Pond (2.2 km) & Shiragane water fall(just behind the hotel). Far away from town , but everything you need is in the hotel. Dinner & breakfast is included (as I said , it's far away from town) . Price is friendly.

Underrated Ryokan!”

The room is spacious and beautiful. The ryokan is beside a beautiful waterfall and what's more, the dinners we had at the ryokan were delicious and lavish. The breakfasts were good too, as there were many varieties of delicious food. The staff is also highly responsive and welcoming . At 180 sgd per day, it was value for money. Highly recommended!

Average Onsen”

Need to avoid season where there tends to be flying bugs into the rooms in october Room we got had stains on tatami floor. Holes on one side of the wall and very old corner dingy room. By far in my opinion below average of what i normally get from onsen hotel in Nooboribetsu Hakone and Lake Kawaguchiko. Having said that, Dinner was excellent, and location excellent if you are visiting Biel Blue lake and the waterfall behind it. The Onsen spring water itself was one of the best in terms of the temperature and its landscape surrounding it was one of the best!

The food provided was decent and the hotel amenities were simple. The onsen was decent too. The hotel was located behind the Shirogane waterfall which was breathtaking in the winter.

Its on top of the Shirogane waterfall. We stayed 1night and really enjoyed the time here. Good for those who want to enjoy onsen & nature :) Thanks for good service

I like that it's not too crowded and there're activities nearby. Natural hot spring pool is open overnight so it is more convenient for hotel guest. Breakfast is excellent! Staff are really nice. There's one English fluent staff who is very professional and thoughtful. He suggested that we could stop by Blue Pond on our way to the hotel while he would take care of our languages. Although it is just 40-minute walk from Blue Pond to the hotel, we walked uphill. Walking one way to the hotel is more than enough for exercise. Nevertheless, they do not reply emails. They mostly answer calls. Luckily, staff from the information center nearby train station helped me arrange for the shuttle service. They can improve in shuttle arrangements. I lives in United States and found this hotel online. My flight schedule may be different from others. My flight was around 1pm so I needed to leave the hotel before their first shuttle and even before the first bus. I took taxi to train station.

Kaiseki Dinner was good but not value for money at all during peak period”

Very very basic hotel that charges for room amenities & even has to bring 100 Yen as deposit to use the locker in the onsen which is very inconvenient for guests. The hotel facilities are quite dated and not renewed, although outdoor onsen was nice the natural rocks were not polished and it hurts, saw spider webs in outdoor onsen too. I don’t mind staying here if it’s cheap but the price I paid for this period is really not worth. The only consolation of staying here was the really the dinner.

Great view and location but don't expect convenience Clean and relatively quiet Extremely warm even with the heat off Friendly staff but doesn't understand much English No laundry facilities (was told by staff) No tattoo facility (sign at door)

Good service & meals”

Staffs are friendly to offer help (e.g. move luggages from bus to hotel during snow storm period, help to call & find out if it's suitable to travel to Asahimaya Zoo, proactively inform if shuttle bus to blue pond is operating based on weather). Meals offered are delicious. The only thing is nothing around the location except for Shirogane Waterfall - a MUST go place especially during winter. The hotel also offers free shuttle bus to blue pond & to Asahikawa station where we can hop on to another zoo shuttle bus. I will surely go again. Enjoy the onsen bath there too.

Fantastic Place for relaxation”

Fantastic services from staff, giving us a call when we were still on our way, driving to the hotel as the hotel serves dinner to the guests. Reserved our dinner for us when we arrived. When we went back to our room after dinner, the beds are laid out nicely for us in the room. Excellent services. Very nice Onsen with a good view. Location, right next to the Shirahige Waterfall and only 2 km from the famous Blue Pond.

The room is so smell like cigarettes. They did not clean up the smell at all”

The service is bad. Asked for change room coz it's so bad smell . They just said all room can smoke and rejected not even sending people to clean up the smell . It makes all my clothing full of cigarettes smell after sleeping there for 1 night . The tatami also very dirty. It's not up to Japanese standard on cleaness
