Amazing Ryokan”
This was my first time staying at this particular ryokan and it certainly won't be my last! The staff are very friendly, some speak english, and the owner speaks fluent english. They have instructions on the facilities, breakfast/dinner, and times for the open air bath in english and japanese. The open air bath was fantastic and gave a great view of the city and night sky. The rooms are standard for most ryokan in the area, tatami floor, a comfortable futon, and plently of outlets for your devices and free wifi. The establishment is very clean and well kept. The owner who happened to be there at the time, even drove me to the ito JR station free of charge. The ryokan is roughly 1km away from Ito station in perfectly walkable conditions although those with large pieces of luggage may want to consider a taxi. I highly recommend staying at Nippon Ryokan Ito Onsen Yokikan if given the opportunity.
Once in a lifetime experience”
Yokikan is a hundred-year-old-history hotel in Ito and the hotel is tranquil. It is a traditional style hotel, but the staff is nice and very good at English so there will be no language barrier. And they serve dinner and breakfast inside your room. There is not bathroom inside the room, so you shall bath in the public bath, it is clean and tidy so no worry. The open onsen is another highlight. You will take a little cable tram to bring you up to the upper portion of hotel in the hill so that you can have a good view to the Ito town. There’s also a anime create based on Yokikan. It was a special experience for me.
Relaxing, Warm Hospitality, Nice Food”
I have stayed at this place several times and whenever I went, I could spend wonderful time here. When I arrived at the main front, everyone was waiting making a line and gave a lot of smile. The hot spa here was clean and must have good effects on making our body feel hot/warm for a long time. Open air bath is really good but even it is rainy, we can enjoy beautiful inner bath. We can enjoy looking at beautiful lemon trees and fruits from some rooms, which is rare for many Japanese inn. I also like the food here. It seems the chef is always thinking about what to make according to there seasonal special products. If you want to experience the real Japanese style inn and spa, I can recommend this place. The manager and his wife both have good command of English.

酒店离轨道交通和公交车站大概15分钟步行距离，沿途阴凉少比较晒。 房间宽敞复古，冲澡在一层，露天温泉在楼顶，水温合适非常解乏。早晚餐很丰富，两天不重样，体验到了家常特色。 离店时，老板看室外高温，开车把我们送到了车站，后来发现耳机落在房间，工作人员很及时的回复了邮件并把耳机快递到了下一站酒店，非常感激。

great traditional ryokan onsen experience staff were welcoming, provided suggestions for restaurants nearby. just keep in mind that breakfast at the ryokan is not western oriented. the baths were relaxing. foot massage was a bonus. recommended for couples or friends looking to rest in between large city sightseeing.
