Bellissima esperienza a Hakone Yumoto”
Abbiamo avuto una bellissima esperienza in questo hotel di Hakone. Avevamo deciso di stare vicino alla stazione per comodità di spostamenti e infatti si trova a 6min a piedi dalla stazione di Hakone-Yumoto. La camera era bellissima, la cena kaiseki servita in camera (bella esperienza) era buona anche se non proprio nei nostri soliti gusti. Dopo cena ci hanno preparato i letti e poi siamo andati nelle onsen, molto belle, con possibilità di stare sia in vasche interne che esterne, WOW!
Great Stay Near Hakone Yumoto Station”
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel near Hakone Yumoto Station. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the station, which makes it convenient yet peaceful. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, and I was pleasantly surprised that some of them could speak Chinese as well. This made communication much easier and added to the welcoming atmosphere. The room was very clean, cosy, and comfortable. The heater worked perfectly, so I didn’t have to worry about the cold during winter. It felt like a perfect retreat after a long day of sightseeing. One of the highlights of my stay was the onsen (hot spring). I really enjoyed the variety of bath tubs available – it felt like such a treat to experience different types of baths. However, I did notice that some of the tubs were a bit cooler than I expected. Personally, I preferred the hotter baths for ultimate relaxation. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious. I had the chance to enjoy king crab and wagyu beef – both were incredibly tasty. The only downside was that my child didn’t know how to eat some of the dishes. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hakone. If you enjoy a good onsen and warm hospitality, this is the place to stay!
Good stay with nice hot bath facility”
Our family of 4 (no kids) had a pretty good stay here even though just for one night. Dinner and breakfast was included in the booking and they really present quality with every dish. It’s kind of like Omakase style where each dish is small but you get to try a variety. We felt the meals were super traditional Japanese style and really helped us immerse with the culture. Also, the dining rooms are assigned and it’s a nice spacious environment, the staff all dress in traditional wear when serving, and there’s also a short traditional music show during dinner, and demonstration of traditional games where they get your participation for a bit of fun. Location is great and not too far a walk from the station. We walked 5-10mins just fine both ways with all our luggage. The hotel itself is super spacious and you can already see from the lobby. Room as well is vv true to photo. We went for the Japanese style room for a bit of traditional feel which is not available for such pricing back in the city. The beds and covers were much thicker than I expected and super comfortable. The only thing I’d say is that it’s not for fussies. As there are signs of wear and tear over the years, more so like just marks and stains like on the fabric sofa, the paper doors, or on the tatami. But it’s the kind where you could tell they’ve cleaned it but the stain cannot be removed. So it’s not affecting the cleanliness level for me, but may be uncomfortable for some. I also really liked the hot bath at this hotel and it was quite private. Not too crowded and the female and male baths are located at different floors so you don’t really bump shoulders. Facility provided everything, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body bath and even facial cleanser and exfoliator. They even had Dyson hair dryers at the dressing station. The baths are pretty true to photo, and we loved the individual tubs outside where the hot bath just feels nicer with the cold weather. Lastly to point out that Japanese service is really on another level. All the staff were super hospitable during the whole stay, we were warming greeted at check in, at our meals etc. To summarise, we had a great stay! And comparing the price to other nearby hotels, I must say it’s pretty worth it.
Absolute excellent hotel experience”
The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the Hakone-Yomoto station. When I arrived with my group (4 persons in total), we were immediately greeted by the hotel staff and leading us to the check-in and I know we are getting the best hotel experience. The check-in was quick and fast (we arrived at the hotel at around 3:00 pm sharp) and got the keys to the room immediately. The room is huge, there is a large tatami area with a large table with 4 chairs to use with enough plugs for you to use. Right next to the tatami area and facing the window looking out the river (the view was amazing) is a carpeted living room with a large sofa facing a 65 inch TV. The TV channels were all Japanese, but it has the Netflix, Amazon Prime and other buttons on the controller and with the access with my phone, I was watching Netflix shows at no time. There is bedroom area which can sealed off from the tatami area with 2 single beds with 2 futons to be placed later in the night. Our room also has a private semi-open onsen facing the river, definitely a relaxing experience sitting and lying at the onsen bath after a semi long trip from Tokyo by train. The hotel has a male onsen on the 2nd floor and female onsen on the 6th floor for the hotel guests. The male onsen had a large indoor onsen bath which is separate into two part, the large part is the general bath with the other part being the jet jacuzzi from the bottom of the bath which give good pressure to your body. The water was hot though. There is also a large outdoor bath, again separate into two section but no difference with a large wooden bath on one side. The water is cooler, maybe the wind or something cooling it down. I was in and out of the onsen 4 times during the stay. (Sorry I cannot provide details of the female onsen as our female companion chose to stay in the room to use the private room onsen) The hotel also provide other entertainment including a small game centre for kid and karaoke rooms. The hotel definitely gives you more than enough things to do for you to stay in the hotel for the whole day. FYI, there is a smoking area on the 2nd floor as the hotel is non-smoking. We bought here at Agoda the dinner and breakfast plan for this hotel experience. The dinner meal had a geisha show and games to play with us together. That was very unique and fun, I never thought we would get this other than in Kyoto. I think the show with the dinner is already worth the price we got for hotel. The dinner meal was excellent with multiple courses with sushi, shabu shabu with beef, veggie and many other variety of food paired with plum wine and we ordered extra drinks and their signature dish which was abalone steamed alive and it tasted great. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese meal: rice, cooked fish and soup, though I did enjoy the all-you-can-drink coffee by nespresso. Overall, this is an excellent stay and for people who enjoy both the Japanese culture and onsen experience, this is a must go hotel during your trip.

We had an amazing stay. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a beautiful view of the river. The included kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious and the dinner show was lovely. Best of all soaking in our own private onsen with the sound of the river in the background and a view of the fall foliage was so relaxing. Highly recommend and will be back again!
