Beautiful hotel ”

We loved our stay at Alivila and hope to one day return...however, it wasn't easy getting there. We missed our airport limousine bus (next 3hrs later) and ended up taking a local bus to the Yomitan Bus Terminal. Once there, you have to call for a taxi or wait for the next airport limousine. In any case, it's not a big deal breaker - just have to not miss your limousine bus, or better yet, get a rental car! Also, for those looking to snorkel, we were happy we tried the hotel's one hour snorkeling. Their wetsuits were better than the large Naha diving company we went with earlier, and it was so simple. We had a guide who let us snorkel and have "free time" to swim. The only thing was - I had to wear a big life jacket that kept making my goggles come off (and they did fog a bit). The water is not as clear as our snorkeling trip to the Kerama Islands, but for beginners like us, we still saw a bunch of new fish and even a sea snake! We loved our upgraded room and view. But food is $$$.

Relaxing trip to Okinawa”

Located next to a beautiful beach, and 2 lovely churches for wedding party. Food may not be very value for money but definitely is delicious. Superior service from staff, big smiles on everybody faces. Besides the remote location and no shops outside hotel (No problem to us as we've rent a car throughout our trip; free parking available at hotel.) Nikko Alivila is very highly recommended.

Friendly staff and nice hotel ambient”

Enjoyed the 3 nights spent in hotel nikko alivila. Breakfast with different varieties (i.e. chose among 3 different restaurants) is a great experience as most hotel only offers to go to the same restaurant. Hotel staffs are friendly by putting on with great smiles that make our stay pleasant. Satisfied with room as we get a room with great view facing to the church and sea. Overall, hope to get back to this hotel again if I'm back to Okinawa.

Great for families”

Very impressed with my stay at Hotel Nikki Alivila. The room is good, great view, and fantastic amenities. Alluring pool, proximity to beach, insta-worthy landscape and building, and hotel has many outdoor and indoor activities to keep you occupied at reasonable mark-ups (not a lot more than Klook). I just got back and am already planning another trip back to this hotel. That’s how much I like it. The only con is the remote location. It’s in a small village town, so you got to drive through small lanes to get there, which can be quite daunting at night when there is no street lamps. I guess that’s the trade off, you can’t get a nice and private location in a busy city.

A very nice hotel for family”

Very nice hotel for family with kids. Staffs are very friendly. The Alivila Beach is extremely good, very clear water and soft sands. A must go for me. Besides, good swimming pools. Big parking area near the hotel entrance. The room is rather big and the beds are very fine too. Drawback is they only provide 2 bottles of water per stay as compliments. In general, staff's English is a little under expectation. And need to wait for a while before getting a seat in the restaurants for breakfast.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff”

Room is clean and neat with large space. Restaurant and counter staff are very friendly and patience to help us to solve the problem. The hotel has it own beach and kids can play sands right on the beach. HANAHANA restaurant is with variety of foods and they are so delicious!! Breakfast at Verdemar is very tasteful as well. Overall, iIt is a nice experience to stay at Hotel Nikko Alivila!!

Beautiful and comfortable”

Beautiful facilities, amazing beach and views from the room and from almost anywhere. The rooms are really comfortable, good size, good beds, nothing bad at all. Good restaurants, but the sushi bar is exceptional, dont miss it (you have to make reservation) As a general recommendation for Okinawa, If you want to move around the island to know more than the hotel you're staying, rent a car, the public transportation is not similar to the rest oj japan.

A wonderful hotel in an exotic location”

This was out first time in Okinawa and it was a bit of a shot in the dark where to stay and in which hotel. We could not have been happier. We loved the location, both in terms of its remoteness (highway 58 and the military bases are a visual eyesore) and the exquisite oceanfront location. The hotel itself initially feels like a misfit but the Spanish theme quickly grows on you and is in no way overdone. It is still a first-class Japanese hotel. THe dining opportunities are uniformly high quality and varied. We loved every bit of our stay and will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Okinawa (next year hopefully). P.S. The location is a bit remote so a rental car is highly recommended if you stay here.

A good place to stay”

This hotel is just located in the middle of the Okinawa. If you want to go to downtown like international street or DFS, you could take luminous bus then transfer rail or taxi. If you have 4 adults, cost of taking taxi is comparable with luminous bus. There are 8 restaurants offered in the hotel from local Okinawa food, sushi, buffet to Chinese food. Do not worry about your baby or parents. They can find what they love to eat. Room rate is not that cheap because they have private beach but sand is not perfect. In sum, if you plan to have a relaxed vacation, stay here.

BEST HOTEL EVER STAY”

The hotel has its own private beach side. The ocean view and sunset is fantastic. Seaside activities are really good. When the water is subsided during the evening, we can walked across the shallow water to go further out to the ocean. We rented a car to get around the areas, so is very convenient to go around places near the North and Central Okinawa. Really recommended this hotel. The services is good and the people at the hotel is quite friendly. We love our stays there. Nearby, there is a Alivia Church which held many wedding ceremony during our stays. We can watch the people in the Church from our room. Really recommending this hotel.

Everything was perfect!”

Beautiful hotel on beach front. Nirai beach is just steps away with lots of opportunity for photo taking. Choice of 3 breakfast venue to choose from, the spread is plentiful and the taste is great. I would definitely return to this hotel if I were to visit Okinawa in the future. Highly recommend to all types of travellers.

Wedding trip”

I am getting married in the alivila church and thus I am staying in this hotel. The hotel staff is very helpful and the hotel room is awesome. I can see the whole sea view from the balcony of my room. The room is spacious and it is very clean.

Came for a wedding, was pleasantly surprised”

A close friend of mine held their wedding here at the resort and prior to this trip, I had not expected too much (I have been disappointed many times with hotels in Japan as a whole and the price-value-service ratio is usually non-competitive in relation to other countries) and had not ever set foot in Okinawa. The hotel room was of a decent size (especially for Japan standards) and was well kept. The dining options are ordinary but I really appreciated the fact that the breakfast coupons are interchangeable with other meals and even drinks at the bar. This alone makes the stay far more pleasant as you can exchange a breakfast for a lunch buffet if you decide to sleep in or skip breakfast completely. This is very much a family focused resort and I regret not bringing my young daughter to this place (perhaps I will get a chance to if I bring her to Okinawa in the future). It is NOT a place to have rowdy guests who like to cause a ruckus (!).

Love this place - pleasant, clean, quiet and yet can enjoy lots of actvities”

I chose this hotel after reading the reviews that this is the second most favored by Japanese tourists. One thing you should know is clear understanding of room types - to have a full nice ocean view, I think you should choose premier - patima room type. It is a quiet, clean and pleasant hotel. Located about 10 minutes' drive from US compound, about 15-20 minutes' drive from the American village. Recommend doing night tour of American village and then come back to the hotel as not so much activities you can do at night in or near the hotel. Still I recommend this hotel. Good value for money. Never regret having chosen this hotel.

Exceptional”

The room was big, clean, and with nice ocean view. Most importantly, the hotel has an awesome beach where we spent a wonderful afternoon. The staff were also nice and provided good services. Will difinitely stay again in the next visit to Okinawa.

Perfect place for wedding”

Perfect place for wedding with the awesome chapel next door. Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is perfect. Lots of selections. Since we are there for wedding, the hotel offers us free champagnes and free photo gift cards. Really appreciated. Will definitely come back for anniversary. Just one note, the road to the hotel is really very dark at night. Driving might be quite dangerous. We were lost once. Hopefully hotel management can do something to improve this beautiful place

Wonderful hotel near to pristine beach”

This, apart from the guided diving experience, was the highlight of our trip to Okinawa. The beach was a 2mins away from the beach. We had a room with pool and sea view - which was fantabulous. The resort is 15mins walk away from the gala salt factory which has a good local restaurant serving authentic okinawan food, we wen there every night for dinner. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

just went back from Okinawa 2 days ago. it was absolutely amazing hotel stay experience. very quiet and intimate. romantic beach side church and gardens. beautiful sunset. very importantly, high quality lodgers. you won't be seeing noisy tour group at all. just enjoy the relaxing holiday.
