Quality accommodation in Osaka”
We had a very enjoyable 4-night stay at the New Otani Hotel & were upgraded to a Junior Suite on arrival. The suite was spacious & had a living room with couch, armchair, coffee table, large television, work desk & chair separated from the bedroom by timber & glass double sliding doors. Both rooms contained full-width windows with views across the Osaka Castle Park. The kingsize bed was especially comfortable, with quality pillows & doona & an attractive wrap-around timber headboard. The bedroom also contained a television, armchair & small table. There was plenty of storage space with a wardrobe & a separate chest of drawers in a small room between the bedroom & bathroom. There was another small room off the entry hall that contained a large safe & room for suitcases. The bathroom was surprisingly compact for a suite & contained a shower/bath combination separated by a bidet seat toilet from a single hand-basin. L'Occitane products were a pleasant touch together with a good range of toothbrushes, razors, hair brushes, combs, etc. The Hotel is within easy walking distance of both the JR Osakajokoen Station & the Osaka Business Park subway station. There are also a number of restaurants, cafes, minimarts etc in & around the International Marketplace, which is close to the subway station. Apart from the small bathroom, my only other (minor) reservation was the lack of convenient plugs for re-charging Tablets, mobile phones etc. There weren't any by the bed or by the work desk & we ended up using one on the floor alongside the couch & another that was otherwise used by the electric jug. This was our second stay at the New Otani Hotel & we would happily stay there again in future.

AH MAZING ”
Our stay at the Hotel New Otani Osaka was amazing! We really were in for a treat with all of the convenience of the different types of restaurants. We really got the super star treatment when we went to one of the panoramic view restaurants. The fact that we had a private, clear view of the Osaka castle was really nice. We were really treated well. Whatever we asked for (and please keep in mind that it was nothing too wild. We are a young Black couple from Oakland, CA in America so nothing too outlandish!) they supplied. They even let me take a few extra copies of the day's International New York Times because my friend was published in there that day! (small request but it meant a lot to me). I would def recommend.

Heart of the Osaka Business Park”
The New Otani is absolutely a 5-star property, with the service and decor that goes along with that. The property has several restaurants on site, but all of them are primarily expense account restaurants; I went next door to the mall in the IMP. The rooms themselves are expansive by Japan standards, but are top-style for the 1990s. Still, there were enough power plugs and everything worked fine! My room even had a sake flask; it's like they knew how I was unwinding after the long days. The closest JR station, Osakajokoen, is a 5 minute walk around the block, or a 10 minute walk through the castle grounds. The closest subway is mercilessly next to a Mister Donut, so beware when going to Osaka Business Park station. Note that several of the restaurants inside the hotel have set menu options, in the hotel directory, that are reasonably priced. The directory indicated pricing was only valid if you asked for the set menu when making a reservation, so beware the gotcha if you decide to eat on-site. Otherwise, across the street at the IMP are some great noodle and seafood places.

It was like coming back home”
Their attention to details goes far beyond my expectations. Originally, I didn’t book an Osaka Castle View room. However, the staff offered to upgrade my room upon knowing itwas my birthday trip. What’s more, they also informed all the dining places they booked on my behalf of the occasion and some arranged a special welcome for me. I felt I was taken care of by a family member. It was absolutely the right decision to come back to the Hotel New Otani Osaka again after my last stay almost 3 years ago.

A pleasant stay in a 5-star hotel ”
My 2nd visit to Osaka within the same trip. We stayed in a traditional Japanese inn during the 1st visit and for the 2nd visit a typical 5-star hotel New Otani Osaka. All very good like fast check-in, attentive staff and comfortable rooms, ours are even facing the Osaka Castle and river yet in the night time the surrondings are very quiet as it is within a business district. If you don't want to go far, there is an office building opposite where many restaurants still open for business, Japanese, western, fast food at your choice. A few stops away from the nearby train station, you may go to the Osaka/Umeda station where there are several mega shopping malla there.

Location is everything”
I cannot say New Otani Osaka without telling how close it is to the Osaka Castle park, perhaps the most exotic experience you could ever encounter in Osaka. The hotel is also close to Kyobashi where you can enjoy local foods and night life experience. You can certainly make this hotel as a hub to travel around nearby entertainment packed cities like Tennoji, Umeda/Kita.

Spacious room and beautiful castle view”
We were very happy to stay at the Otani hotel as the location is good. Right opposite to the JR station and Next to the Osaka castle. We got a room that is facing directly to the Osaka Castle. Therefore the view is excellent. Room is reasonable and very clean. Staff was hepful and speak good english. The only thing that is troublesome for us : There is no elevator in the JR Osakajokoen station, you need to bring your luggage up and down the stairs to and from the hotel. I was travelling with my mother so I had to carry the bags un and down serval times.

Great View of Osaka Castle”
Since we like to run & exercise on our holiday's, the Hotel New Otani Osaka is the perfect location. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Osaka Castle Park. Therefore, going for a walk or fun run is extremely easy. BTW, the breakfast line up is amazing. From Western to Japanese food, the selection will NOT disappoint! Great value for money!

Great location”
Our stay at Hotel New Otani was amazing. We organised for the hotel to have a driver to pick us up from the airport and even though our flight was 1 hour behind schedule, the driver was waiting their for us. The staff at the hotel are ALL very friendly and helpful and some speak good English. The hotel upgraded our room at no extra charge to one that overlooked Osaka Castle......this was a highlight. The room was spaces and very clean. Would we stay there again? Yes and I would recommend this hotel.

Comfortable Spacious Stay”
Group of 3, stayed during 21/9/17 - 24/9/17, Superior Triple. Location: Osaka-jo koen Station (Approx 5 mins walk to Hotel) Hotel room was very spacious, Service by the staff are great. Even took extra measure to guide the way to room, introducing places in hotel and where to get ice for cold drinks. Room has a mini walk-in wardrobe that has some hangers, luggage holder and a safe inside. Toilet are well equipped with 3 sets of amenities and hair dryer. Main area has sofa set, working desk, TV, mini refrigerator, some alcohols and drinks, beds. Area is very spacious, 3 (24" luggage) all opened up at once and there are still plenty of space to move around. Some items in the room can start up slowly like the kettle and the air con. Takes awhile for the kettle to boil water, air con may start up slower and temperature adjust can be slow too. Nearby the hotel, it has Lawson and Starbucks towards Osaka Castle direction, and towards the business district, more stores can be found. Food can be found around the same area. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay here, Pro: Close to Osaka-jo koen station(Osaka Loop Line), those who are using JR pass, this allows you to make full use of your pass, Spacious, polite and friendly staff, Con: Slow start up of kettle and air con.

GOOD HOTEL, GREAT VALUE”
Our travel agent chose the Hotel New Otani Osaka for us and we were more impressed. The staff on the reception desk all spoke very good english and were most helpful. The hotel is in a good central location in downtown Osaka so getting around was a breeze. The rooms are not large but more than adequate and very comfortable and very clean as were the bathrooms. Highly recommended by booking through Agoda.

Beautiful hotel with everything we needed”
this was a fantastic hotel and they provided us with everything that we needed. one of the largest rooms i've ever stayed in for a japanese hotel. it was my girlfriend's birthday and i was able to have the flower shop deliver flowers up to my room prior to arrival. if you are willing splurge a little, the deluxe rooms at the top of the hotel are a nice added bonus, as it gives you free internet access and morning coffee service, which was like getting room service for free! the bathroom was great and clean and the view was just as it looked in the pictures and on the website. we also really enjoyed the location as it was a bit more quiet than some of the other areas of osaka. it is close to the jr loop line which can get you to kyoto/nara/airport via the shin-osaka/osaka/umeda stations and it was also close to the subway for local attractions. the walk to the castle was also nice, pleasant, and very close. if low cost was not a priority, then this hotel is fantastic. my only cons are that the restaurants are quite pricey, i believe for breakfast buffet, and the lack of an onsen for such a nice hotel, but beggars can't be choosers.

great value, friendly and competent staff”
I have been a long-time visitor to the New Otani. There may be fancier hotels, but they are much more expensive. Staff speaks English and is helpful. Location is near the Castle park, with a great view of the Osaka Castle, in a quite location. The JR loop line and the subway are within 10 within walking so it's easy to get around. One of the best value hotels for me.

Definitely a 5 star hotel”
We arrived rather early (around 11am) and was greeted by the doorman roughly 10m from the front door. He rushed out to help us with out luggage (even though we only had 2 handcarry, and it was not hard for us to wheel it in). He asked if we were staying at the hotel (imagine the ackwardness, if we said no... ha ha), and we replied yes. He then proceeded to usher us in (all this time, dragging our 2 old luggages). As soon as we got to the reception area, we noticed that the reception was huge and attended by at least 6-8 staff. We were attended to within the minute. As we were too early for check in, the staff proceeded to apologise (when its no fault on her end) and gave us a free upgrade. We were able to check in and have everything completed except receive our keys. When we did return after 2pm, we received our key, and a bell girl took our luggages up to the room. She kinda had to, as the lobby was huge and one can easily get lost if first time visiting this hotel. The rooms were large for Japan, and quite comfortable. We had a castle view, and had a view of the river too. Cherry blossom was in full bloom, and we had a perfect view. Osakajo Koen Train Station (JR Line) was literally 3mins walk. Not much food around the hotel unless you walk 10mins towards Kyobashi (which is easy as). Airport from Tennoji station takes around 35mins. Osakajo Koen to Tennoji takes about 20mins. Definitely will recommend those who wants to visit Osaka.

Fine Majestic Hotel”
Very satisfied with the New Otani. Conveniently located near 2 train systems and a wonderful view of the Osaka-jo Castle and park. We went during the sakura blossom season and the park was magnificent a view. The staff was very helpful when my father needed assistance with finding a pharmacy nearby. They took their time and effort. Efficient and courteous. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Great Location, Spacious Room, Reasonable Price”
The hotel is situated at Osaka Business Park. Convenient stores and restaurants are nearby. Further, the hotel is close to 3 different stations of 3 different railways (just 5 - 10 minutes walk). It's extremely convenient to take a train to Osaka Station (Umeda), Shinshabishi, Kyoto, etc. If possible, a room with a view to Osaka Castle is highly recommended. The only drawback is that the staff do not speak fluent English. Luckily, one of us could speak fluent Japanese. If you want to have a good hotel with spacious rooms at a reasonable price, this hotel may fit you.

Perfect in Osaka”
The room was soo big and spacious. Located near Osakajokoen Station, no need to worry if you bring big luggage. I can see Osaka Castle and Park with Sakura Trees from my room. I will definitely stay again at New Otani Osaka for the next trip.

Amazing hotel in an amazing location.”
We were blown away by this hotel. Walking into the magnificent lobby in our casual sight-seeing clothes we actually felt a little underdressed. Perhaps the excellent rate for which we booked the room through Agoda allowed us to stay somewhere a little more classy than we would otherwise - as make no mistake this is a classy hotel. We were immediately surrounded by helpful staff offering to take our luggage and assist us with checking in. Much to our surprise some very petite young women were employed as porters and I felt quite guilty as our porter struggled to get our pieces of luggage on and off the baggage cart - I couldn't help but assist her with them. Once we got to our room the best feature became clear with a commanding view of Osaka-jo Castle and Osaka-jo-koen park - which only got better as the sun set and the castle was lit up. This happened to be our last night on a 3 week Japan holiday and we couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay.

Mrs. Hang Nguyen”
Very nice hotel and friendly staff, great facility and location close to the train station and Osaka castle. Our room was upgraded to Castle view even we reserved the town view which is very nice of them...the only issue is we tried to arrange the taxi pick up service from the hotel and was told that the service was not available without any further explanation,,,so end up we have to take the limousine bus from Kansai Airport to Osaka central station and then take taxi to hotel but the taxi driver was confused and took us to a wrong hotel with the similar name...and finally the manager of the other hotel called another taxi to direct us to the right hotel destination...what an experience first time ever in Japan...
