IT WAS WORTH IT, enjoyed my stay”
although other people rated this hotel as bad and worst, it's actually great! The value of the rooms were really worth it! It's really cheap but you get a lot of free services; they have free wifi, water, use of microwave but what I like the most was the free use of the bicycles. I went around Osaka using it, making it easier for me and cheaper since trains are a bit expensive. The staff were really friendly and they can communicate with you; if you have problems, you can always search it on the net how to say it since there's wifi. -it's rather clean. Based from the reviews of other people, I was expecting cockroaches and very old and dirty place but it was nice. The rooms were clean (except that their futons are a bit deformed, just bring your own pillow case). They have slippers that you should wear around the hotel. For people who will only sleep and rest at the hotel, it's really worth it. If you want luxurious hotels, this is not for you. -It's easy to find because it's infront of the station ; although I got lost at first not knowing the way, the Japanese residents were kind to help me and my friend (mind you that it was midnight). They even helped us carry our luggage and went out of their way to help us. It's close to certain tourist places such as nipponbashi, dotonbori, and many other places. You can bike it. It's technically safe! It may be considered as slums, but it's too good to be a slum... - THEY ARE NICE AND GENEROUS! everynight, they will give snacks to those who are using the wifi at the lobby for free. I dont know how to explain but they are definitely kind! Actually, the hotel is old but the construction is nice. It's big but not spacey. There's few spaces to move in but you can manage -The bathroom is shared but for the ladies who are worried, worry not! you can take a bath by yourself because you can lock the door! When you need something, you can always ask the staff and they'll try to do their best to provide it for you. I recommend it!

Good for a basic and budget travelling in Osaka.”
Is a HIGHLY convenience hotel which I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who want to travel in Osaka at a relatively low budget. It was near to a subway station (just beside the hotel entrance) and I particularly love the food shop-Komakiya which just beside the entrance of the hotel which offer affordable and tasty food for everyone in the street and hotel. The surrounding is just worth you exploration because Tennoji Zoo is just within walking distance and Tsutenkaku is just visible from this hotel. If you are a dog lover, you might have a good stay here as the hotel keeper have cute dog running around the hotel. The only warning I would give is this hotel might not a good place for male traveler that not enjoy public bath, as this hotel only offer shower room for female traveler. The level of cleanliness and facilities might be a bit lower than expected due to the aging structure of the hotel, but this is not a heavy concern for me and I will definitely come again for my next trip.

Amazing experience ! ”
Despite the harsh comments about the hotel , This hotel is really one of the better experiences we had in Osaka ! I traveled with my younger brother who is 14y/o and although t first he found it difficult to comprehend the condition of the place , he later got used to it and is actually enjoying it. The location is superb. Very good for sight seeing and the subway station to all the major tourists places is literally a few steps away! Ideal for travelers who want to discover osaka. Although quite warm and stuffy in the room , they we opened the doors when there was no one in the corridor and closed it when we fell asleep. The ladies' bathrooms were modern and very clean. The other travelers were all nice people and we really enjoyed our stay! For the price you pay, it is worth every dime. We've stayed in some other hotels which were much more expensive and is worse off than this. Will definitely come back here again!

Everything went better than expected”
I don't know why, but a lot of the other reviews I saw made this hotel seem like a decrepit hellpit in the middle of a road warrior-esque wasteland. There's even a youtube video proclaiming it ti be the scariest hostel in Japan. It was so cheap I half expected that either we would be brutally sodomized in our sleep, or there would be some kind of locked room murder, and as a crazy foreigner it would be my job to solve it while twirling my fantastic moustache. Even towards the end of my stay I was wondering if we were about to become the stars of another terrible Paranormal Activity movie. That said, this placr is fantastic, no murders no anal rape-age, just a chep, clean hostel thats a two minute walk from the station and a ton of famous tourist areas. It's all family run so don't expect Jeeves and Mr. Belvedere to double team you with room service. But for this price expect a good cheap clean room. The showers are shared (seperated by gender though, ofc) so that might have put some people off, but honestly that's how a lot of the showers are in Japan, and certainly how all the ones in an onsen (sauna) are. Also the family dogs are on the first floorso if yyou're allergic don't go. It even has wi-fi on the first floor

Value for money”
The location is superb, close to their railway stations. Near to Den Den Town which is one of the main attraction in Osaka. Advise to rent their mobile data package, more worth as you can bring it along while you travel. Requested them to switch room to a room with aircond, they gladly helped me in switching it. Overall service was pleasant. The only downside was you need to share bathrooms and toilet.

It's wicked cheap...don't expect too much”
Pros: A place to sleep at night. Very friendly staff. While neither a 'hotel' nor a 'diamond', it was very close to a subway and JR Rail Line. Cons: Wifi only in the lobby. No wifi in the room. No aircon, but rather a fan. Seems to serve as a halfway house...so a few older locals coming through. This was a great deal, especially for budget travelers. Don't expect too much. Literally a mat and pillow to sleep on. It was perfect for keeping my luggage while I traveled around the Kansai region.

Low Cost Hostel”
This hostel allows you to cook in the lounge, they have small oven, two microwaves and a rice cooker too. The cleanliness could be improved and don't be surprised if you see flies and cockroaches or dogs smell. It was acceptable as their price was fairly low. Do not complaints as they already indicated they have pets in the property. Please do your own initiative to clean up whenever you use the common place, else you will see food packaging all around the tables and floor. Don't blame the hostel management, you should clean up after using it! Behave yourself there and you would be peaceful and enjoy your stay there. After all, it was a good experience staying with them. The front counter Abe was very helpful and approachable and thanks for your assistance. Speak to them if you have problem rather than writing on reviews column in Agoda. They are approachable :)

Budget hotel. ”
It's easy to miss in the midst of all business hotels in that part of Osaka. It's a bit cramped and a lot of people in the common area (which is small) but the staff are really sweet and helpful and this is the cheapest private room we found in whole Japan. Don't expect luxury and you'll be ok.

Great for Budget Travelers”
The hotel is a 30-second walking distance from the Dobutsuen-mae subway station, about 8 minutes from the Shinimamiya Station, which is a good thing since most trips in Japan are taken by train. The room we stayed in was small like many hotel rooms in Japan, but it was enough room for two people to sleep in. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The girls' shower room had a built-in water heater and was clean. The men's shower room was a common shower area. After check-out, we left our baggage in a storage room, so we can do a last-day trip to the city. A minus: we had to go down to the first floor to take a bath or connect to the internet. But given the price (Y1000/person per night), it was altogether a good experience. It would help if you knew some Japanese phrases, though. :) Oh, before going to Japan, I had difficulty connecting to the hotel to make some arrangements. I called Agoda customer support and the operator was very helpful.

Very cheap and not a capsule ”
Hotels do not come much cheaper that this, it is an odd part of town, but close to transportation and not far from exciting areas of Osaka. The room is like a large closet, and the showers are in a communal room, divided by gender, if you want to experience Japan on a budget and not in a capsule this will definitely do.

Good place for one night”
This is one of the darkest hotels I've visited. The rooms are ridiculously small and the hotel hasn't been touched for years. HOWEVER it was 6dollars a night through Agoda so it's pretty hard to complain! I wouldn't like to stay more than one night here, but it was perfect for a cheap place to put my head down for one night in Osaka. It's located about 4/5 minutes from a subway station direct to the airport too. I arrived at 9pm and left at 7.30 the next morning so it was fine for me!

Cheap, suitable to save your money”
It has the cheapest price in Osaka, but the man's bathroom is like an onsen so no privacy for man when take a shower. The elevator was a little bit scary and the upper floor is little bit scaring because not enough lights and the sink was dirty. Although they have a lot of minus, but the toilets were very clean, and although the room is tiny but it was comfortable because you have a privacy on your room. You got what you paid for.

Good place to meet new friends ”
The price is cheap and so does the accommodation but the good side was my room was fine. I didn't smell any smoked cigarette inside the room. It was well ventilated because the room has window. The toilet was shared by all tenants in the 6th floor and smells like someone just peed on the floor and stays there forever. Another good side was i met so many friends there. The hotel is just less than 1 minute walk from Donbutsuen -mae station Exit 8. 24-hour Tamade and Family Mart nearby. There's also a japanese store beside the hotel that sells cheap but delicious food.

The Ring Movie”
The ambiance is not good. The reception, lounge, common bathroom and room was very dirty. It looks like a thousand years had passed since they clean the hotel. The hotel is an old building which scares me and feeling that Sadako will appear anytime. They also have two big dogs and 1 small dog which added to unpleasant smell. It is bear to subway station but very far from the heart of Osaka.

Old building 6th floor room no heater ”
Only one staff can speak English, she is really nice, helped me book the bus ticket from Osaka to Tokyo. Next time I will still stay in the new building room.

Basic facilities, cost-effective, great staff!”
The hotel is extremely basic. There seemed to be a lot of people using the hotel as "temporary accommodation". There were a few younger tourists from all around the world too. There is only Wi-Fi in the foyer, which can get a bit crowded. There are lifts that function well. The rooms are the smallest I have ever stayed in, so once the Japanese style bed is rolled out, there isn't much space for anything else, which isn't necessarily a problem. We stayed in a non-smoking room and unfortunately the smoke from the other rooms still filled our room with cigarette smoke, which was unpleasant. The shower situation was interesting, with specific times for using the facilities if you are male and other times if you are female. Overall the hotel can feel unsafe, but just be cautious if you're a woman as there can be a lot of strange men wandering around. The best thing about the hotel is the staff! They were amazing! So friendly and helpful! Even going so far as to lend us bikes for the whole three days we were there, for free. Would recommend for a short stay, but be prepared for a cheap, really basic stay.

It's okay if you come prepared”
I saw many review before came here, so I had adjusted my expectation in advance. It's actually a good place to stay considering the cheap price and you still get private room for it. My room was on 7th floor, the toilets were clean. As for the shower for ladies, even though it was inside the public lounge, but most people in the lounge were indifferent. There was a transition changing room for each of shower room for you to change into proper clothes before going out to the lounge, or simply you can just wear bath robe instead. The room was hot since it was summer, if you came from tropical nation then it's bearable, just turn the electric fan into max speed. Don't forget to bring usb led lamp if you want to open the window and still don't want the opposite room to see what inside of your room with full bright light. Anyway, if you came prepared, it's a nice place to rest for next day journey.
