From the beginning to the end of our stay at Hotel Aventree, it was a dream. Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and were fluent in English so we had no trouble at all. They made us feel welcome and made sure all our needs were met before sending us to our room. When we arrived in our room, we were immediately impressed by the modernness of the room, how clean and neat everything was and how wonderfully equipped the bathroom was. My friend was extremely impressed with the toilet with the heated toilet seat. The hotel is located literally 5 minutes from Insadong, 2 blocks away from the subway station and an approximately 10-15 minute walk from the airport shuttle bus. The staff were friendly and when we had an issue with our internet connection at 12AM in the morning, they sent staff up to our room right away to fix it. There is a wonderful buffet restaurant downstairs that caters to both international and local palates. For the location of this hotel and the service that was provided, I was surprised at the price we paid for our 3 nights there! I DEFINITELY recommend (and have already recommended this hotel) to anyone that asks where they should stay when they are in Seoul. Normally, I take every hotel review (and the accompanying pictures) with a GIANT grain of salt but Hotel Aventree went above and beyond my expectations! Had a wonderful stay and would definitely book my next stay there again when I go back to Seoul : ).

Excellent Location”

This is my second stay with Hotel Aventree, and it is my go-to hotel in Seoul now—excellent location, nice room, a fitness center, a safe, and easy access to Bukhansan National Park, Gwanghwamun, Sejong Center and Inwon Mountain where you can walk along the old city wall. The hotel is located near Jonggak Station of Subway Line 1, and Jongno 2-ga bus stop of the airport bus 6002 (10,000 won; 4 seats in a row). Airport bus 6005 (15,000 won; 3 seats in a row) starts in front of the hotel. I also notice this time that Bus #704 is just in front of the hotel; #704 takes you to Bukhansan National Park Fortress entrance. Going there takes 50 minutes, and returning 60 minutes. The room is bright and clean. The room has 2 bottles of water and 2 complimentary coffee packs. The hotel is 2 blocks from Insadong, which has many nice restaurants. Everyday, except Monday, at 11 am is the “Bosingak Bell-Ringing Ceremony”. Visitors can participate the ringing bell ceremony.

Pleasant stay -- great location, modern hotel”

The Hotel is close to major attractions -- Gyeongbokgung (5-10 mins walk), Insadong (less than 5 mins walk), Cheonggyecheon stream (10 mins), Lotte dept store in Myeongdong (15 mins), among all. To and fro airport is a breeze with the airport bus 6005's stops in front of the hotel. Room is compact yet modern and very comfortable. And since I booked early, the price was also very reasonable. If I return to Seoul for travel, Aventree Jongno will be top on my list for the place to stay.

Good value, clean, centrally located hotel.”

This one day stay at the Aventree Jongno in Seoul Korea was my first impression of hotels in Seoul. Overall, I was impressed with the courtesy of the employees and the accommodations available to myself and my son. Though, I was shocked by how 'hard,' the beds were when I laid down to sleep. That was the downside of the experience. I guess is is just a 'korean' thing to have such hard beds. The highlight of the stay was the buffet served in the basement of the hotel. Excellent variety though it was an extra charge not included in our stay at the hotel.

I'd stay here again in a heartbeat”

I stayed here for three nights in September 2013. The check-in was efficient, staff very friendly and the room (single standard), although smallish, was great for one person. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space in the bathroom. The bed was comfy too. Insadong, where the hotel is located was the most perfect location. So much to see and do, plus it's within easy walking distance to all amenities / transport. If I visit Seoul again, I will stay at Aventree Jongno. I loved everything about the hotel and area.

Impeccably Clean Room with Modern Amenities”

Stayed at Hotel Aventree Jongno for 5 days in January 2013. It's a relatively new hotel, and it shows in the design and amenities of the room. Really loved the small wall control panel, from which you can control all the lights, the temperature and figure out the hotel features. Location is pretty good, it's very near Insadong (exit from the back, and it's just the next street down), and a ten minute stroll north to Changdeokgung, and around fifteen to Gyeongbokgung. Walk south and it's another five minutes to Jonggak metro station (the closest metro station), and Cheonggyecheon just beyond that. If you can, do spring for the hotel breakfast buffet. It's a small but still lovely spread, with a mix of continental and asian foods.

Very comfortable hotel, not fancy, but cozy”

Very good experience. We stayed at Aventree hotel for 3 days. Comparing with the hotel we stayed at Busan and guest house @ Hanok Village, this hotel is the best. The hotel is cozy, warm, and providing what you would need while traveling. But not a fancy hotel. The room is medium size, not too small, but not extremely big. Everyday the hotel provides bottled water for each room(per checked in person). You will realize how convenient it would be when you just get off the airplane where no liquid is allowed in carry-on. Korea used round-shaped plug. The hotel provides plug free-rental service. You just need to put 10000 won deposit; During our travel, we need to go to Busan for 3 days. Aventree hotel kept our luggage for free even though we would not stay in aventree after we come back(which turned out to be a mistake. We should have stayed in the same hotel instead of trying out the hanok village which was not that comfortable at all). Very convenient location. Walking through hotel's backdoor, going through a small parking lot, you will find Insadong tourist information center and insadong art gallery street; Walking through hotel's front door, turn right, you can walk to Myeongdong in less than 10 minutes. Hotel representatives are very friendly and speak quite well English. When you are in a country where majority people speak only Korean or very can only speak very limited English, you will realize how heart-warming it is the hotel representatives could answer all your questions in English. They also have native Chinese speakers as representatives. In all, this is a very comfortable, convenient, and cozy hotel, but not fancy.

Overnight stay with an early flight from Incheon”

Flights leaving before noon from Incheon leave people traveling from other parts of Korea with the problem of whether to wake up really early or take the risk of missing the flight if there is traffic congestion on the way to the airport. My choice is usually to avoid the problem by coming to Seoul in the previous evening and staying in a hotel near the public transport to Incheon. Previously, I have stayed near the Seoul station and taken the train to the Airport. This time I tried bus 6005 that has a stop in front of hotel Aventree. These two options are about equal in travel time, so one should choose based on the price of the hotel and the amount of luggage. It is easier to haul heavy luggage from Aventree 20 meters to the bus than from the other hotels near the station to the train. The hotel served my purpose well. The bed and shower were comfy and checkout took about 20 seconds leaving ample time to walk the 20 meters to the bus.

Happy Chinese New Year Stay”

This is my third time stay in this hotel. Very good location, just 3-5 mins walk to subway, bakery shops nearby, and lots of restaurants across the street. More importantly, no need to worry and carry out heavy luggage to seek for airport bus, coz it's right outside the hotel front door, superbly convenience. In a family of three, we can stay in a triple room, very spacey with bath tub. Big enough to open 3 29'' luggage completely and still enough space to walk. However, we chose our stays with breakfast this time, mainly for my early-awake parents. There are not much choices of the food supplies and slow refill of food. No more breakfast included next time. But overall a happy, cozy and convenient stay in Hotel Aventree Jongno.

Calm and conveniant place by walking ”

I stayed Hotel Aventree in Jongno while I had the extraction of cataract and restore of my rightside eye at Gong Opiical Hospital. It was so calm and easy to walk to my hospital every day. For two days I stayed with my hosband for the treatment,and the rest of days I could manage myself. The third day I went home in Onyang, it was harmful not only to take the train but also to care my eye. As a woman I tried to bend my head to pick up some things on the floor. So I searched agoda.com and find the same nice and half sales price. I used to lied on the bed but it didn't make any pain for my backbond and wrest, and all the untensils in the bath were helpful to recover my conditions. The last day I invited my friend who has the same situation of my eyes. We enjoyed the brunch at the restaurant. This is brand new and nice hotel even you are in poor health condition.

Great deal, great room, great agoda find!”

We used agoda for last minute booking for our trip back to seoul from yongpyong. Ive never done this before being a planner type of person. My boyfriend did the spontaneous booking as i couldnt stomach the thought of not knowing what i was getting myself into. Surprisingly... Hotel aventree was a very simple small hotel but very safe clean and comfortable. Since it was winter, the normal a/c was now a heater. But we preferred for the room to be a bit more cool than warm. Thanks to their window, we were able to have outside cool air come in to cool the room. Was a nice feeling sleeping with seouls winter air (our first night in seoul we stayed in hyatt, they gave us an electric fan since the windows are fixed. The fan didnt really do much) The only difficulty we encountered was that our taxi driver didnt know where the hotel was.

Great location, friendly staff”

It was a celebratory trip for my brother and me. We took the taxi from Seoul station and asked the driver to drop us at Jogyesa Temple, from there we simply had to cross the road to the hotel. Upon our arrival the front-desk staff offered us a slightly larger room due to our celebratory trip and 5-nights stay. Yay! We stayed at the 11th floor and had a room facing the Jongno tower, which was very pretty to look at during evenings and nights. Both the room and bathroom are pleasantly big and clean. Clean towels, bathroom amenities and complimentary bottles of water everyday. The toilet is from American Standard and is an electronic bidet coming with many different functions which were displayed at a manual next to the seat. Very handy. The hotel is pretty wel situated amidst many sightseeing locations. It is a 1-minute walk to Insadong (just behind the hotel), 5-minutes walk to Gyeongbokgung palace, 10-minutes to Myeongdong and many more. We were a bit unlucky to have selected to stay in Seoul during one of the coldest winters, it was freezing. For this reason the room temperature was set quite high and it was not easy to manage the room temperature to a lower degree. We just left the window open during nights so we wouldn't dehydrate and it always feels better to have a little breeze when you are sleeping.

Best first trip to Korea! ”

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Aventree! Would definitely recommend if it is your fist time in Seoul, Korea. Easy access to many attractions, etc! Perfect location for first timers! - 7-11 in the lobby, many restaurants and other convenience stores nearby. 5-minute walk to train/subway station (Jonggak Station), and a bus for Incheon International Airport (both terminal 1 & 2) is right in front of the hotel. The only downside was the cleanliness of the room. Although it was pretty clean and all, there were times when they bathroom was still quite dusty. Like by the sink, toiletries. But overall, they still did a really good job! Aside from all that, this budget friendly hotel deserves a 5-star rating!

Conveniently located, Staff able to speak English”

Stay at Aventree Jongno was great! We travelled in 3, and Aventree has a triple room for us. Bed was very comfy, room was spacious enough for 3 of us, there's even a side balcony area. Aventree is conveniently located in Insadong area. Busstop for airport shuttle (no. 6005) is right at the doorstep of the Hotel, which is great! TOilet is spacious, and I loved the toilet seat that has a warmer. Just that the toilet is with tinted glass walls, and me and my friends have to covered it with newspaper coz we were too shy.. Other than this, Will definitely return to Aventree again! =)

Amazing Location”

The Aventree is a good hotel. Staff are organised, rooms clean, breakfast standard but the location is the big thumbs up. I ended up staying a week here because it was in the centre of a great area, shops, food, a temple 2 minutes away, the Palace 10 minutes walk away and the subway 2 minutes walk away too. Behind the hotel is the bustling Art and Craft area of Insadong (you can't hear it though) and 10 minutes down the road is the area of Myeong-dong with cat and dog cafes, big store shopping, choice of food establishments. You can not get bored of things to do here.

Every time I am in Seoul, I always try to go hiking in Bukhansan. The room is bright and clean; has two bottles of water, two complimentary 3-in-1 coffee bags, and a safe. There are only two Korean-type outlets on the desk. The fitness center has 3 treadmills, 2 cycling stations, a multifunction weight station, etc. The hotel is two blocks from Insadong, which has many nice restaurants. There are also many eateries towards Jonggak. Everyday, except Monday, at 11 am is the “Bosingak Bell-Ringing Ceremony”. Visitors can participate ringing the bell.

Highly recommend”

Our family enjoyed very much our stay at Aventree Hotel. It was the last stop of the airport limousine bus so it was convenient for us to travel from the airport to the hotel (and vice versa). We stayed in a triple room on the 12th floor and had a good view of the city. Our room was spacious, squeeky clean, had a cool hi-tech toilet, complimentary toiletries, bottled water, coffee and tea. Our cleaning lady politely greeted us every morning. Buffet breakfast was satisfying though it would be much better if they changed their menu every other day. There's a 7Eleven Store in the lobby where we bought some stuff that we needed. The closest places of interest were the Jogyesa temple (across the street, right side) and the Insadong Walkway where we found restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, hanbok rental, street performers and many more. Other places of interest were also walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back. Thank you Aventree!

Wonderful and restful”

My stay at Hotel Aventree Jongno was by far the best accommodation during my trip to Korea. I enjoyed my stay so much that I re-booked at the hotel during the tail end of my trip. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are clean and new.

Exceed my expectation ”

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood, the hotel is near a couple of tourist attraction (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Jogyesa Temple, Changdeokgung Palace, Insa-dong). The hotel staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and thankfully have heated toilets seats (we went there on January). They have an 7-eleven (convenience store) at the lobby, although it’s not 24/7. There are a couple of metro (subway) station nearby (10 minutes walk). I suggest you download a couple of apps (KakaoMap, KakaoMetro) on your phone to help you get around korea since google maps doesn’t work there. Overall I’ve enjoyed my stay at the Aventree Hotel
