Booking for 2 days and 1 night for 2 rooms. On the first day, after just a few hours in the room, I had to go out for a quick errand. The staff called, but the call didn't go through, so I didn't answer. The staff then knocked on the door of a relative's room who was with us. After receiving a call from my relative, I learned that the staff wanted to come in to collect the extra bed because it was mistakenly provided to the wrong room. When my relative informed them that there was no key card for the room owner, the staff said that the hotel had a spare key and would like to open the room to collect it at that moment. My relative had to inform the staff that they needed to contact the room owner first, but we did not allow this at that time. The reasons were: first, it was not a matter of urgency to collect the extra bed while the room owner was not present (if property goes missing, who is responsible? Is this not considered unauthorized intrusion?). Second, I was informed that the staff told my relative that the housekeeping could collect it until 7 PM, and if it went beyond that time, they would have to charge for the extra bed (listening to this, it seems it is not the customer's fault for using the service, so why should they be responsible for this?). Also, is it normal for staff or the team to use a spare key for non-urgent matters like this? How should customers feel about their safety or privacy in such situations? It would be better to let customers inform a convenient time for collection rather than having a spare key and disturbing another room just for an extra bed, which is quite disruptive. Additionally, the room was in rather old condition, with the air conditioner leaking a lot, causing water to cover the floor, making it impossible to walk near the window. Young children had to be careful of the slippery floor. I did not mention changing rooms because it was the night before check-out. Overall, this was a rather bad experience for a one-night hotel stay.
