“Potentially Excellent but for mold and dirt”
Review of room 503. Severe mold smell. Floors not cleaned properly, only mopped roughly, with plenty of ancient dirt around the edges. Ceiling covered in mold spots and oily dirt spots caused by evaporating condensation drops that collected dirt. The water pressure is great, the shower system works well. The toilet is good. The bed is OK, a bit hard. There's an empty, working mini fridge. The wi-fi works OK. There's a view of outdoors. There's free coffee and boiled water in the business centre downstairs. The room is ornately decorated, even with upholstered walls. One drawer has someone's sock left behind at the very back. The bathroom fan does not seem to be operational at all; the switch for it doesn't work. That's probably why the room is moldy. The mold smell mostly goes away if you turn on the A/C. The cleaner will change all of the towels, whether or not you follow the instructions to hang them up to indicate you don't want them replaced. There is water damage to the laminate flooring near the bathroom, and the bed's supports have also crushed the flooring. There is corrosion of metal in the bathroom fixtures. The glass shelf above the sink slopes downward towards the sink so items will fall off it into the sink. The shower curtain has mold on it. Overall, the hotel management needs to put more effort into ensuring quality and cleanliness. This room is not acceptable as is.
