"We stayed overnight as a group."”
Eleven adults and two children stayed in a large room and had a fun time, feeling like it was an adult field trip! Although there were many people, it was comfortable because there was one shower room outside the room. The staff's response was very easy, so we were able to spend a comfortable time. We sent many emails with inquiries before our stay, but they answered them all. Thank you very much!
a very reasonable place to stay!”
This place is one stop away from Shinjuku station, called Shin-okubo. And the hotel is 8 mins walking distance to Shin-Okubo station. Has loads of convenient stores nearby and restaurants and a 24hours Mega Donki nearby for your last min shopping!!! and laundry cleaning shop very nearby too (note: no washing machine in the room but it has a stove and microwave). The room is basic but comfortable. The toilet is wee a bit small but for the price I paid, it's ok! This hotel actually has a front desk counter!!! You can check in or check out and leave your luggage with them while you shop during the day. However, after you check out and if you need to leave your luggage overnight, they will charge 500yen per luggage per day. Else you can find some luggage lockers on the way to the station. Also check out is 10am but you can leave your luggage with them for a few hours on the day of check out. it's free. Best part it, after you finish your shopping and just before you head to your next destination/airport, you can have a quick shower there! Any questions you have re this place, just email them. They do come back with the answer quite quickly. I will stay in this place again for sure the next time I visit Tokyo. Oh, if this is your first time in Tokyo, do inquire of the one day / 3 day JR or other train passes available at the train station. It saves you loads!
Very good”
We were a family of 4 females. We stayed in room for four people on 4 tatami, floor mats. There was hardly any room to move after the mats were out. The room had a closet where we stored our luggage. It had an extremely small bathroom that walls are at the reach of an arm span. The room provided a stove, dishes, utensils, mini fridge, water boiler, rice cooker, a small trashbin and very thin bathroom towels. The tatami had a cover on top and thick blankets and pillows were also provided. We brought our own beddings which we used because we weren't too comfortable to use theirs. Trash was emptied daily. There were vending machines right outside the premise. The building is on a slight angle, which was a slightly tricky getting your luggage. Also it was located on narrow street, so we had trouble several times with taxi, and our airport pickup services. Other than the room being small, the location was fantastic - tucked behind busy streets in a quiet, safe residential area. Few minutes walk to two train stations, lots of restaurants, and shops. The guys at the front desk were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. They helped us multiple times with directions and communicated with us using my translator app. Overall happy with the stay.
Great position”
Good value for family of 4…2 adults and 11 yr old twins. They loved the big screen TV with netflix. Small bathroom and kitchenette with hotplate, microwave, kettle, small fridge, rice cooker and hairdryer. I chose this hotel for the location and size as we had a lot of luggage. It is 5 min from a train station that is on the Yamanote loop line and a couple of stops from Shinjuku where you can change to go anywhere. 2 min from a 7/11 combini and a supermarket on the corner. 24 hr Donki store 5 min up the road. This hotel is in the middle of Korea Town so it can get very busy, especially on the weekends. The street the hotel is on is off the main road tho and pretty quiet. Beware that if you want flashy this hotel is not for you…it is a bit tired . But there were clean towels everyday and they took our rubbish away if we left it outside the door. I would say this hotel is good value for money and in a very convenient part of Tokyo. If you are expecting a flashy western style hotel then this isnt for you but its a great safe spot, very handy and with a real buzz if you like going out at night. We stayed in and watched Netflix and ate Cool Whips! Oh, there is a laundromat across the road as well.
7 night stay at Hanabi”
Location - superb! Few steps from shin-okubo station, donki, 7/11, convenience stores, yoshinoya and other small restos. I love the quiet neighborhood of hanabi hotel. It's a few step back from the hustle bustle of shin-okubo. Superduper small toilet, i can hardly move inside and there's no bidet. But their water pressure is strong and i like the hot shower. Complete with microwave, small ref, utensils, bowl, cooking pan and plate as well as dishwashing soap. They also provide body soap, conditioner and shampoo. The only downside are the following: 1) futons are soooo thin. Everytime we sleep, our back aches because of the thin futons. 2) am not sure if the futons are clean, we itched alot everytime we sleep. Their housekeeping staff is not cleaning the room as the room is still dirty. There are dusts and hair. They could have left a broom for us to sweep the floor if they're not cleaning it. Imagine staying there for 7 days/nights without the room being cleaned. 3) toilet is just way too small. We are used to having small toilets in our house, but Hanabi's toilet is just way too small. Moving inside is very difficult.
