Guest House Umikaji is conveniently located near the Prefecture Monorial Station, RyuBo Shopping Centre and Kokusai Street. Monorail ticket is Yen 260 from Naha Airport, only seven stations away. Suggest check-in time to bring forward to 2pm from current 3pm. Otherwise, Guests can stay/rest in the reception lounge/dining room, surf internet on the two internet terminals or read the story books and sight seeing materials provided. On the whole, a clean and comfortable place to stay while on holiday in Okinawa. I will stay again!

Second stay in this property and will stay again”

The location is a stone throw away from Prefecture Government Office Monorail Station. It is about 15 mins ride from Naha Airport. Close to RyuBo departmental store, KFC, MOS burger and supermarket. About 4-5 mins walk to Kokusai Street. Witnessed some nice upgrades in the property as compared with my first stay in April 2019. Perhaps the free WiFi can be improved further on coverage and speed. Will choose Umikaji again when I come back to Okinawa.

This is a new guesthouse that Naha needed. Having been to Naha several times, I have stayed at different guesthouses and hostels. Guesthouse Umikaji is fairly new addition. Location is great, only a few minute walk from Kenchomae station. It is also very close to the bus stops and Kokusaidori, the main street in Naha city. More importantly, all of the staff members are great and super kind and professional. I had a very rare travel-related, lack of sleep related memory problem, yet the staff was understanding and very kind regardless. You will be happy to meet and to know all of the staff but especially Misaki-san, Maki-san, and Masa-san. They are always very kind, friendly, and helpful with any of your questions.

great cheap accommodation”

First of all, this place was very clean. And the location is great to reach famous spots that u would visit in Naha city. Me and my siblings are stayed the room with the river view. It was definitely relaxing with the fluffy bed. I will stay in this guest house next time 100% 🙌

The Guest House is located within walking distance from monorail station about 7mins. The room is clean as well as its bed is comfortable. Overall, i have a very great experience staying in this guesthouse. i will go back again if visiting Okinawa.

I really like this place. It is in a very useful central location. The guest house is as described and the photos are accurate and honest. This would be a great base camp for anyone in Naha.

As the guest house will change the password for the front lock every day, remember to take a photo of the new password during day time. I almost spent my night outside the guest house because I forgot to take note of the password and the bell outside the guest house was also out of order.

Near Yui Line, Luggage Storage Facility”

Good location that is near the Yui line and staff was also friendly. They even have storage facility (200yen/ per day). It was good for me because I went to Ishigaki for 2 days but did not intend to bring my luggage there, so left it with Umikaji.

Not so good ”

It’s really a bad experience to live in this guest house. I don’t mean that the service here is bad. I think the people who live here are so selfish. I was waked by other guests many times in the midnight. It’s hard for me to get a well sleep. And I can hear people walking clearly because of the wooden floor. However, i won’t choose this guest house again next time when I come to Okinawa.

Even though it’s one of the cheapest options in Naha, I would probably prefer to stay somewhere else next time. The rooms are dorms with curtains, rather than capsules like they are add all the other hostels. The curtains are basically just for show because they are basically transparent! When you have your light on in bed, other people can see into your bed space, which basically defeats the whole purpose of the curtain. I ended up hanging my towel to block the view. In addition, they charge for everything. It also allows you to hear basically everything that happens in the room. Unless you need a free pair of earplugs, expect to pay for anything else that you want. The common room seems to be quite large, but it was packed with people almost the entire day. The location is pretty great, close to the rail lines, but there are plenty of nearby places that I would prefer.

So thankful for the reception girl,she still waiting for me to check in even though I'm later a little bit and just stay one night ,female room on 4floor,but so sad that don't have a lift to remove my baggage,a little bit inconvenient,so I paid to leave my baggage on reception,but everything is very clean and roommate are very nice,I like to stay here,and I like Okinawa,will come back soon,我会再回来的

There are also bus stops nearby. The bedroom and shower room are clean. I am not sure if I do not know how to use the shower, sometimes there is not enough hot water.

I was stayed at 8 beds female room for 5 nights, this room facing the bright windows. The bed is clean and right soft. They’re sitting behind the kendo-mae station. 5 mins walk to Izakaya s . Had wonderful time in here and Okinawa. **Don’t forget to bring ear plugs and eye mask.

Comfortable stay in central Naha. Everything was clean and comfortable, but the WiFi was annoyingly slow and intermittent.

I was staying in female 8 bed dorm and on lower deck bed. Bed had a noisy sound whenever upper person was moving a bit. Plus, a/c(?) machine was turned on n off repeatedly during all the night. It seems they offer earplug when u request. So recommend u have one. Overall it was worthy place to stay few nights with reasonable price.

Beau close to the bus terminal station and monorail station A lots of tour bus starts from that monorail station ,so you don’t have to get up early. 5 mind walk to 國際通 There are so many nice bar nearby,so you can drink some in the end of your day . Best choice in Okinawa!
