A good base to explore Furano and Biei areas”
I have nothing to complain about. My stay there was perfect! The room was clean and large and everything was convenient. If, like me, you're on a budget and prefer not to eat in the restaurant of the hotel, there is a combini about 10 minutes walking and you can use microwave to heat up your bento. Overall it was a short but very nice stay!

Stayed here between skiing Furano and Asahidake. The hotel exceeded expectations! It is beautiful, modern, spacious, and has amazing views of the countryside and mountain range. It was clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The location is somewhat remote, but the views are outstanding. Great value for the money and would stay here again if passing through.

Old facility, Valve for money”
Big room, but the window is full of spider web, I didn’t even try to open the window, waste of a good view. We stayed one night there, one thing, I locked the door the night before, but when we wake up the next morning found out it’s unlocked. It’s better to use the door chain too.

It's an older hotel so you can really get a sense of what travelling and luxury in japan was like when the hotel was first established. Because it's no longer as popular and as a result has some run down vibes, but nothing major. It was well worth the money, and the food was great too. It was more than filling and very reasonably priced. Ironically it's also rare to be offered Japanese meals at hotels in Japan unless it's a ryoukan, so it was very nice to be able to eat that. The location is great too, under the assumption you have a car or have rented a car. But if you're travelling around Hokkaido, you kinda need one anyways. It's in the middle of the different Furanos and Biei, while also only being about a 30 minute drive from multiple hiking trails. It's perfect if you plan to use it as a base to explore the area. My one complaint would be the weak air conditioning. I was fine, but my friends get hot easily, and even with the AC on high, it wasn't enough to keep them cool.

Much better than you’d expect”
We stayed here for a ski stop in Furano region. If you want to be kinda mid way in between Asahidake and Furano - the location would be ok. Car is essential. The room itself was huge (think European standards) with a crazy good shower room (basically a private sauna). Staff go out of their way to help you even though English might be an issue (they use their translation apps very well though)

Good value and location”
Just needed a solid place for our group whilst traveling around Biei/Furano. It’s about 20 min from central furano so you really need a car. Rooms are large though a bit outdated. There’s no sento which could’ve made this experience better. The views from the top of the hill in the morning are amazing though.

All staff are friendly and went the extra miles in providing us an extraordinary stay. Felt really at home with their warmth and kind treatment always. Room was big and clean with nice view. Japanese breakfast was delicious, set up was ready even before our arrival every morning. A great THANK YOU for everyone in Hops Hotel. Will sure to stay there again when we return to Furano.

then definitely check out this hotel. The hotel is not new, but it is clean enough that we felt comfortable. Room is huge, the surrounding is calm, it felt really comfortable staying in this hotel. Breakfast is good!

Spacious room super value for money”
Located on small hill with nice mountain view. Super spacious room with two twin bed combined can fit in 2 adults and 2 young kids. Comfy stay as the room provided with a small living area and bathtub. Just a bit dust came out under the bed. Definitely would recommend this hotel.
