Perfect stay for my favourite hotel!”

As one of the best hotel with its perfect location in the heart of Shinsaibashi, Cross Hotel is always on the number 1 in our family list of chosen hotel whenever we frequent Osaka for season shopping, gourmet tripping and pleasure purposes. The smiling staff with their warm service always greet us in style. As we always arrive from a tiring foreign trip, the hotel makes sure that our rooms are ready to occupy and all our requests are readily meet, too. The soft bed and the big pillows are my favourite, as well as the big bath tub for a refreshing and relaxing dip.. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is just a few meters away from the famous Dotonbori Bridge and all the famous eateries, shinsaibashi shopping arcade and the kids favourite, Don Quijote where you can buy nice souvenirs, cosmetics, etc.. I will surely recommend this place to all my friends who wants to see Osaka!

Amazing rooms and location”

The rooms were extremely pleasant. And this hotel is the first I've encountered in Japan that doesn't have a toilet and bathroom the size of a pillbox! There was a slight mix-up with the triple room I booked - they gave me a twin instead, but they managed to solve it quickly for me so that was nice. Cross Hotel is centrally located in the Namba district, and is a short walk from either the Shinsaibashi subway station on the Namba (Midosuji line) subway station. Transferring to USJ takes about half an hour, and Osaka castle can be reached in about 20 minutes. It's also just a couple of steps away from the massive Dotonburi shopping area - ask the front desk for a map. The one I received came with recommendations for nearby shopping districts and restaurants and it came in immensely useful when I was looking for something to eat! We took the airport limousine from the Namba OCAT terminal instead of the train because we didn't want to have to deal with the crowd. The bus terminal is on the second floor of the OCAT building though, and not all elevators/escalators serve the second floor. I found it tricky and had to ask a couple of locals before I found myself at the right place... (Two buses leaves for Kansai international airport hourly at XX:10, and XX:40.) Overall a great stay. It's a pity I only needed accommodation for a night.

High quality hotel at the heart of Osaka (Dotonbori) ”

Hotels in Japan are quite expensive so it's a given that you'll pay north of $100/night for a decent room. After looking at many hotels in Osaka and Kyoto, we decided to make Cross hotel our base for 2 nights. We were at the tail end of our 3 week trip in Japan so we wanted a place we can easily access good food and lots of shopping. Cross Hotel gave us that a more. The room is quite nice and more spacious (very rare) than we thought. This is in comparison with other hotels (3.5-5 stars) we've stayed at throughout Japan. We love the sit-down bathroom and the full tub. Amenities are awesome (designer stuff from both Japanese & French brands). As for being in the center of things, this hotel is next to the Dotonburi canal. You have food, shopping and night life in Dotonbori, tons of shopping (and more food) in Shinsaibashi (right behind the hotel), and Don Quijote (famous discount store with tons of stuff) is right in front of the hotel. Namba district is also 15 mins away.

Very Comfortable”

The hotel was cute but very comfortable. The rooms were of good size, the beds and pillows looked really simple at first but very very comfortable. Our personal fave was the restroom/shower area. My kids loved the heated toilet seats, push button everything, our toiletries were easily replenished by the staff (and they don't take tips.... so unusual compared to NewYork where we came from) and the tub was a perfect size for a warm relaxing bath after spending the whole day strolling along the Shinsaibashi strip for some shopping and dining. It is very close to the Namba Station/ Takashimaya Mall where you can catch the JR to Universal Studios...oh and also, Cross HOtel is literally 10 steps away from the Glico man and the Dotonbori River Cruise. We definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Osaka:)

EXCELLENT”

The hotel is located at the centre of Osaka city, near Shinsaibashi, Namba and Dotonbori. It is about 5 minutes walk from Namba Station (Midosuji Line). The staffs were very friendly and well versed in English. The room is very spacious and luxurious, as well as the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was very good, a lot of variety and many of the food represents local food in the prefecture. They even served takoyaki during the buffet. Fair to say after many visits to Osaka, Cross Hotel is the best hotel that I have ever stayed in.

Excellent hotel”

excellent location for all aspect, transportation, restaurants, convenience stores and as well as the shopping street shinsaibashi!!! room size is quite big if compare with other hotels in osaka/japan. it still have so much spaces even we open our 2 big suitcases together. what we like most is the bathtub. it is big enough to fit 2 adults and it is really relaxing to take a hot bath after a long day! hotel breakfast is very good too. there are lots of varieties of food and all taste "oiishi"!!! would recommend cross hotel to others and definitely will be back again!

Best Location in Osaka!”

It's my 3rd trip to Osaka and second time staying at the Cross Hotel. The location is unbeatable, you can go shopping until tired and come back up to the hotel to rest and unload. Thousands of shops and restaurants just at the doorstep and Namba Station is also incredibly close. Cleanliness can be improved, also the hotel is getting a bit tired. You can see obvious scratch marks and wear and tears in the rooms. The hotel management really should consider some renovation work to be done. The cafe downstairs also offers a cheaper and super delicious breakfast option, so can give the hotel breakfast a pass. Would definitely come back to Cross Hotel when I visit Osaka next time! Already recommended to everyone.

Holiday in Osaka ”

Great location. Cross Hotel Osaka is nested between Shinsaibashi and Namba station; within 5 minutes from Namba station. Hotel is just stone throw away from the tourist spot, Doutonbori Glico Sign. Room is very clean and has an interesting bathroom with after-onsen bathing area. Highly recommended for a shopping trip in Osaka or a 1day-3days stopover along JR pass route.

Modern yet classic”

We stayed at the Cross Hotel Osaka for our honeymoon, and the exciting, almost pub-like appearance was a bit daunting at first, but as soon as you enter the room, the thoughtfulness and the attention-to-detail from the Japanese culture instantly won us over. The bathroom was HUGE, it came with a separate dressing room, and a Japanese-style stone tub. The location was convenient and there was plenty of nice restaurants and good food around that area, albeit it did get a bit rowdy later at night given that it was located near Shinsaibashi/Namba. Overall, still highly recommended and definitely a four-star hotel.

Exceptional”

The hotel is strategically located near Dotombori and few mins away from Namba Station Exit 14! It’s very convenient! You can also walk to Shinsaibashi and Kuromon Ichiba Market! We stayed at 13th floor, room is very spacious, nice and comfortable! Totally recommend this hotel! Thanks Cross Hotel Osaka for your hospitality!

Osaka is like Tokyo with less people.”

My wife and I are always out and about when travelling. A hotel for us is just a place to hold our belongings and recharge. That being said, the feature we most appreciate when choosing a hotel is its proximity to areas of interest. Cross Hotel is right in the heart of Osaka's major shopping areas and restaurants. We could go shop for a couple hours and unload bags in the room and head right back out with free hands to eat. There are so many areas within walking distance, we rarely had to use other means of transportation. When we did use transportation, it was to go sight seeing, and the entrances to the train stations were very near to the hotel. Nothing was ever too far. Even if the hotel is just for sleeping and getting ready, Cross Hotel excels at comfort and convenience. I loved the bath/shower room and the bed was very comfortable after a full day of walking. Keep in mind this is a Japanese hotel. The room isn't big, but that's just what you expect in this country. Stretch your legs outside, not in your hotel room. Osaka is a great place to visit. We've been to Tokyo and actually prefer Osaka better. It has all the typical shopping we love about Tokyo, but with less people and better tasting food in my opinion. It's still crowded for sure, but a bit more bearable than Tokyo crowds. Tokyo is great for Disneyland, but if you just want Japanese shopping, food and city culture without all the fuss then Osaka it is. If you're really want to visit a theme park, Universal Studios offers some great attractions for adults and most importantly young kids.

Best location”

On my 1st trip to Osaka, i just put my faith when I booked this hotel because it's among the highest recommendation on the list. And true it lives up to my expectation. First, I did not even realize that this hotel is actually just around the corner from Dotonburi, and basically you just need to cross a small alley from the lobby's back entrance and there you arrive at the Glico Running Man billboard. Food & shopping area around the area is very much accessible too. Another nice surprise is the bathroom in the room, which is exceptionally clean & the amenities are very impressive too. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone who's planning to visit Osaka.

Best affordable hotel in excellent location”

Cross Hotel is right in the heart of Dotonburi with Shinsaibashi next door and close to all the food and shopping. Hotel room was spacious and clean. Very affordable for the excellent location and only 8min walk to most metro station entrances to Namba Nankai and Osaka Namba station.

Great Hotel with Great Location”

the hotel is in close proximity with the main shopping and culinary attraction in osaka: shinsaibashi and dotonbori.very convinient.overall it is a great hotel and i will definitely come back to cross hotel should i have the chance to osaka again.

Fantastic location, the heart of Namba”

we stayed for 6 exciting days at the heart of namba, the most representative area of osaka. the earlier travelers have provided useful tips like getting to the hotel (the use of midosuji line) which helped tremendously. another thing not mentioned, cross osaka also has the limousine bus service going to and fro kansai airport (although the time is limited to about one to two trips). the convenience and ease of not having to cart your full luggage and child through road and rail is just amazing. just book your tickets at the lobby when you check in. i also must give praise to the service staff (who also provided my 6-year old a special child amenity set which she absolutely loved!), the very warm and great chamber staff who made our room with care everyday. everyone did a perfect job to make our stay memorable.

Good location, best service”

Cross hotel is located in the downtown of osaka, easy to travel from Kansai airport and easy to catch train to other tourist attractiions. It is very near to the infamous Glico billboard and the area is easy to find restaurant and shops. Staffs there were very helpful with the most serviced mind I have found so far. During our visit, my friend was sick and had to see doctor, the staffs were very helpful, they accompanied us to hospital and took very good care of us until we depart. I highly recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a nice stay in Osaka!

We had a fast check in, clean bed room and bathroom. This hotel is the best location, the closest to dotonbori where lots of eatery are situated, shinsaibashi where you shop a lot and namba a 10 min. walk where you see a lot of Japanese novelties snd umeda where you see a food court with lots of food to choose from but you can not see any tables and chairs to dine in. Cross hotel marks the spot. cons: the hallway is dark. The triple room was small for 3 persons.

Pleasant Stay”

We had a nice time in Osaka and thanks to the good location of Cross Hotel which let us enjoyed our first visit to Osaka. The location allowed us to access to the vivid life of the street food, shops and fish market, etc. around the Shinsaibashi and Namba area~ Will sure be back to visit and stay at Cross again~

Pleasant Stay”

My daughter and I had an excellent stay at Cross Hotel. Although the wait to check in was a little long the staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. The room was spacious and very clean. Unfortunately with it being Halloween weekend and it was extremely noisy outside and we were unable to get much sleep, this was through no fault of the hotel. I recommend this hotel especially to those that want to experience Osaka city life. It is very conveniently located and easy to find. We will definitely go back to stay again.

Great Hotel in Shinsaibashi”

This hotel is situated in the heart of Shinsaibashi and so it is extremely convenient for all the shops, department stores, restaurants and metro stations directly underneath the hotel. The size of the room, bathing area and toilet are much bigger than other hotels that I have stayed before in a premier location of Japan. The facilities are stylish and well maintained. Would certainly recommend this hotel to others who would travel to Osaka.
