"It is the best location to stay in Mae Salong with the rooftop to spend time watching sunrise. There is morning market right behind the place and motorcycle for rent which is 5 minute-walk from the place. Plus, the staffs are so nice! It is the place I would love to come back and stay at least once again in Chiang Rai."

"We had stayed in Chiangmai city for a few days and took a motorbike trip covering Chiang Rai, Mae Salong, Phu Chi Fah, Nan and Phayao for the next 5 days. I love Maesalong Mountain Home! Situation about 4km from the little town (there were other guesthouses too), I found this resort tucked in a corner of the mountain charming, quaint and quiet. Amazing mountain views. Literally, a breath of fresh air! It was my most perfect honeymoon stay and sadly, we only stayed for a night as we have a tight itinerary to follow. The chalet and bathroom were clean, cozy and spacious. We sampled the fried Yunnan noodles and fish & chips for dinner. Had the noodles again for breakfast the next morning. The food was generally good and delicious. I missed my brewed coffee but they do not serve any except the ready-mix ones (3-in-1). The owner is friendly, hospitable and helpful when we sought more information on the best route to our next destination. We stopped by the oolong tea plantation and visited the factory on our way out. I would come back to stay here again for sure. For the long and winding journey to Mae Salong, it's better to spend at least 2 nights and explore the town nearby. Highly recommended! "

"The check in was smooth although nobody speaks English. The room was spacious and every room has an amazing view as shown in photos. Surrounded by tea farm, they always serves you a cup or glass of tea in every meal which is so thoughtful for me 😍 Not too much facilities, just a resto where all the meals are being served. They also have this tea section where one of the staff (the ladyboy) would be gladly to explain and make a tea presentation demo to you - even in English. Breakfast was buffet and same every day i guess. They even have this basket and wooden made cap where you can borrow and pick ur own tea from their farm and for photo shoot too. If u want to level up ur pictorial, they have this 100 baht (not sure if per hour or per costume)rental of Northern Thai costumes at the reception. At the lower part of the resort is the much bigger tea farm that is open for public viewing and they also sell tea, of course. This place is also like 3km away from the market so it's so peaceful. (the market has 7-11 and several atm machines. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. Certainly would visit this place again, but would recommend to stay here for a maximum of 2 days. "

"My boyfriend and I took my parents for a trip across Chiang Rai, and stayed one night in Mae Salong, and even though the resort is about a 7km drive from the main town area (where most restaurants and markets are), we were incredibly happy with our stay here. Everyone including owners were sweet and friendly. The views from our room and al-fresco breakfast area were breathtaking. If we knew their kitchen was open for dinner, we would have eaten there. Breakfast was very yummy, home-grown local breakfast, we finished ALL they offered us! The menu wasn't extensive but it was enough for those who are looking for down to earth, but good home cooking. Would definitely come here again."

"A friendly hotel with great views over the valley and tea fields. Pleasant and helpful staff and a good location in the main part of Mae Salong. A little disappointing based on earlier reviews however. Bathroom plumbing needs some fixing, fixtures are a little worn and clunky. Breakfast was fine but really quite Chinese with limited options. This is low season so limited breakfast is not unexpected. All in all OK, but as the hotel options in Mae Salong expand they may need to spruce things up to stay popular?"

"All is great, the only concern would be some noise from other rooms or from the road. This is probably the best hotel in Mae Salong, the rooms are spacious and the view is perfect (just don't look straight down, you'll still see some potential for improvement). Having said all that, I've really enjoyed my stay. Don't forget to try the hotpot (can be vegetarian) and the tea ceremony set :)"

"The room was huge (tons of space), the location was perfect (quiet), the breakfast in the morning was pretty good (toast, peanut butter and jam, rice soup with pork and a very large omelette + coffee and tea), and the reception/staff were wonderful (family, good vibes, the young man in charge speaks great English and Chinese (and Thai of course). I would love to come again, the whole experience was wonderful. Such great value for the money (and even the bed, awesome, extremely comfortable). This hotel is wonderful."
