It is the first time for me and my family members to visit Langkawi. I chose the place personally due to short travel duration as a consideration to my 3 yr old son. I’ve searched so many resorts and Ombak Villa Langkawi has been in my Top 3 list and finally selected it as the place looks peaceful and relaxing with a nice view of garden and the sea..and I was right. Being a nature lover, I always wanted to see greeneries around as much as possible. It has a good view of the sea, nice & windy on the seashore in the afternoon which is best to fly kite. My son enjoyed it so much. Rooms were clean (but maybe would be good to get the headboards cleaned as well as it has that sweaty smell) but overall, the rooms were 8/10...very spacious. We had an early check-in (an hour before) which we really appreciated. Buffet breakfast is just OK.. enough variety to choose from (I like the juices personally). The staffs were very kind and I’d like to give kuddos for having honest staffs as I left my iphone on one of the tables in the reception and was so glad that they kept it and I was able to collect after our day tour. Ombak Villa is close to other 2 resorts...and we had the chance to stroll in the morning around Lagoon Langkawi Resort. Overall, I am very pleased to have stayed here and would highly recommend it to friends. Staffs are really nice as well.

You sure can't beat the views here. Each morning my two small children and I wake to the clouds touching the sea. It's calm and quite, removed from the hustle and bustle of Cenang, just a five minute drive down the road. The rooms and neat and tidy and very comfortable for our two week stay. The facilities are all you could hope for as well. A great pool, especially for the kids, dining room by the sea for breakfast and even a gym, including a running machine outside that looks out to the sea (my boys have had me running on that every day). There's no actual beach by the hotel, but with Cenang beach five minutes away you don't really need one. The food is comparable to anything else we've had in Langkawi and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. You are a little removed from town, which is an advantage in one sense as it's very peaceful but you will need transport to get anywhere. The hotel runs a shuttle bus 3-4 times daily and you can get taxi's of course, but I would recommend a hire car to really get the maximum benefit of the resort and island - we picked up a little banger from the airport for 50 RM a day so not a great expense. Like almost all hotels in Langkawi it would seem the resort could do with a touch of paint here and there and seems to take them all day to remove plates etc left outside your room, but these are only small complaints. Having seen a fair bit of Langkawi and the other options available, in terms of location and value for money you will be hard pressed to do better. Book it!

When selecting the hotel for our vacation in Langkawi i was trying to find a cheap one as my friends really enjoyed theire stay in a cheap 3* hotel and advised not to spend money on hotel. However after studying lots of Langkawi hotels reviews I decided to book Frangipani (deluxe room). Although, in my opinion, it's a little overpriced, I have never regretted my choice. The hotel is really very beautiful and clean. We have travelled around the island and in my opinion Franghipany has the best beach. The hotel staff is also extremely friendly and helpful.

I have to say, I would never have booked this hotel based on its rating. However we were forced to stay at this hotel due to cancelation of the other hotel we booked and it turned out to be one of the best value for money place we have evwe stayed!!!! The pool is awesome! My kids can play in it for the whole day. The staff are very friendly and the food is very reasonably priced and delicious! Price is really reasonable here. The only down side of the place is its room size and its interior. It is one of the older hotels in langkawi. So don't expect a modern and newly renovated room! Will definately stay here again!

its hard to find good hotel for the budget cheap hotels are so dirty and the service sucks .. i tried three hotels in langkawi two of them in cenang beach .. nadias was the best and the location is in the center of living cenang beach Street ..in kuah there are good location but cenang is so active beach .. i love this hotel and if i come again i will book it and recommend it for my friends..last thing is the staff is very helpful and friendly also the cleaning service are

Our stay at the Bayview was great. The staff were courtesy, friendly and helpful, the location for our needs was perfect and the room was just what we needed after 3 months on a Thai tropical island in small a 2 star room. The hotel is a quick 10 Ringet taxi ride from the Kauh ferry terminal, and is walking distance to lots of duty free stores and local market restaurants. It is not a beach resort, but has a good swimming pool. The buffet breakfast had lots of Asian and Indian dishes, but still catered for western tastes with cerals, fruits, omelette, toast and coffee. The view from our 9th floor room was great and we felt relaxed by the pool, supplied with towels and deck chairs. We would definitely stay there again if we needed a hotel in Langkawi. Nice and luxurious hotel with high service standards. Hotel looks new and well maintained. Been to a couple of 5 star hotels in Malaysia particularly in JB but the service standards of Danna cannot be matched. My flight is in the evening so i requested for a late check out. Initially we were given up till 3pm. I asked if i can check out at 4pm instead as my flight is at 5.55pm. The manager eventually obliged and i was really grateful for that as im with a 2 year old toddler and i had to factor in her nap times etc. Not sure if other hotels will allow such complimentary check outs. The swimming pool is great too. Hard to fault the hotel in any way but if i must mention the disadvantage of staying in this hotel would be the location which is far away from town and cheap local street food. Since it was my first time in Langkawi I was not sure of the more happening areas which are Pantai Cenang and Kuah. Travelling out via taxis to these areas 1 way costs 30 to 40rm. Spent quite a far bit on travelling out as I wanted to explore Langkawi. I also engaged a private driver with the hotel which costs 180rm for 3 hours. Quite expensive in my view but be prepared to spend when u stay in this hotel since it is located at the western end of Langkawi. The 5 star hotels tend to be located privately away from town. The only advantage of the location of the Danna is that it is near to the cable car which costs 10rm taxi ride 1 way. All in all my stay in Danna was pleasant and memorable and i would definitely recommend it.

If Pentai Cenang is best beach in Langkawi then undoubtedly best star is best hotel of Pentai Cenang. prices are very good and at back side hotel has a swimming pool just attached with the beach. so from back side when you step out of the hotel then you are actually stepping on the Pentai Cenang beach, the most happening and activity filled beach of the Langkawi. Hotel is surrounded by countless local and branded eateries as well as shopping mall and its just 5 Kms away from airport. Undoubtedly a recommended hotel and i personally would love to stay in this hotel every time i visit Langkawi.

Hotel is situated right in the middle of Pantai Cenang, the hotspot in Langkawi. Just 2 mins walk to the beach and lots of shops just below the hotel. 5 min walk to Cenang mall. Room is the most spacious I’ve ever stayed in for this price. The beach is just opposite the hotel and you can view the sunset from the rooftop which is a very pretty open concept cafe.Room is clean and good enough to come back to after exploring Langkawi. Hotel even has a pool on the ground floor, and many restaurants and other establishments around it, very convenient. Excellent location and good value for money. everything is good. thank you for your hospitality.

My family and i loved this hotel so much. I especially fell in love with the kitchen on the balcony concept and the view it provided. I highly recommend the seaview room. It was worth the extra charge. Waking up to a beautiful view of the sea and sailing boats just makes for a great morning start. The swimming pool was cozy and spacious, both the adult's infinity pool and the kids pool. The fact that the pool is open from 7am to 9pm means you can still have a dip in the pool after a long day out island hoping. We stayed in the studio apartment with one king sized bed and one queen sized sofabed as i was informed only the 'studio' units have kitchen balconies. The apartments do not have a microwave, instead they give you a kettle, some plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery and a TOASTER OVEN. do not put plastic in the oven. it is not a microwave. But it is useful to reheat those roti canai or grilled fish or nasi lemak wrapped in banana leaf (buy the nasi lemak in the afternoons in one of the humble stalls opposite Langkawi Parade, 1km from the hotel). Breakfast is good too. they replenish even at 10am. But it is a local breakfast spread, do not expect scones, bacon, cheese or pastries. Instead for the 4 days i stayed there we had a wonderful breakfast of fried flat noodles, fried rice, cereal, pancakes, chinese style porridge, salads and some local desserts such as agar-agar, currypuffs and samosas. The gym was great too, bonus point for having a seaview! Ample parking, arabic restaurant within the hotel opened until midnight, pool table, pingpong table, jacuzi pool and a nice lounging area. The sofabed was not so comfortable though. The mattress curved up and down like the waves instead of being flat. but since our kids were only 3 feet tall, they had no complaints. overall a good hotel, with beautiful seaview, no beach, not even close to the beach, great swimming pool, good amenities and good local breakfast spread. situated on a stunning beach, backing onto rain forest with only one other hotel nearby, you have to wonder how on earth they got permission to build this hotel in the first place. but then you look closer and you notice how it is totally blended into its surroundings and it is almost totally environmentally friendly - they even have resident nature experts who do morning and evening free walks - take one, they are very informative. everything is near perfect, the rooms are a good size and very well furnished, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is the best i have ever had in a hotel. little touches abound, i was waiting for my dinner in the restaurant and i had forgotten my book, the waiter noticed i was looking around aimlessly and brought me a couple of magazines to read. similarly they have a poolside newspaper delivery service, along with the iced water and fruit. other reviews have said it is isolated with nothing else to do there, and this is true so just sit or lay back and relax. yes the prices are higher than the rest of langkawi or malaysia but the staff to guest ratio is very high and they have to pay these people somehow. for an ultimate 5 star luxury paradise in a superb location, this place is hard to beat.

If you have travel arrangements to Langkawi, we could really recommend this wonderful hotel. It started right at the time we checked in. Since we had a baby with us we could get a upgrade to a much better room WITHOUT any extra costs. In one word...WOW!! And that when we payed the real minimum for a hotel at this standard. Conclusion: this is your hotel in Langkawi!!

Camar was not the first resort which popped up on my choice of hotels in Langkawi but I have no regrets. From the time we stepped into the hotel the staff were extremely helpful and friendly not to mention going out of their way to find mint for our mojitos! If you're looking for a laid back, relaxing stay in Langkawi this hotel is for you. The pool was pristine and breakfast options were more than adequate. The resort is a short Grab ride from Pantai Cenang and there is nothing you cannot get from close by. We even booked tours and exchanged currency right across from the hotel with extremely competitive rates. I hope the resort keeps up their high level of cleanliness and professionalism for years to come.

The staff were always ready to greet and extend help when it was needed. Our little kid was made very welcome wherever she went. The best of it was that kids meals were all free for kids below the age of 5 and the quality was excellent. The resort's premises was fantastic and Tanjung Rhu beach was simply peerless. It's one of the most beautiful beaches in Langkawi if not the best. Four Seasons wasn't the cheapest. By any stretch of imagination but it was definitely worth every penny. The activities at the Kids Club were also action packed and the Instructors were very good with kids. I would highly recommend it to any family considering a holiday in Langkawi.

close to eateries and hotel owned shopping complex.convenience store is located opposite the hotel. no air conditioning in lobby and elevators. in lobby only portable air conditioner is provided. the rate is superpriced during school holiday and public holidays. breakfast just basic. not enough. only little once finished they replaced with another food. only 2 elevators available during my stay one was out or service. i waited for 5 to 7 mins in the humid and hot air because the floors are not ventilated with air contioned. tv channel is limited no sport channels only fox movie and 1 disney channel. the rest is local terrestrial channels. next time i will stay in another hotel. last time i stayed in bayview hotel which i think alot more better than this hotel

According to the reservation, the checkout time was 15:00, but when we reached at 10:30, they just cleaned a room and allotted to us without any delay. Nevertheless, the booking dis not include breakfast, but the staffs there are so nice, they provided complementary breakfast for all the days we stayed. We are overwhelmingly surprised with their hospitality. And last but not the least, the location of the hotel is the best in Cenang, or even in Langkawi. It is exactly at the opposite to the Cenang Mall, beside the beach and just in the middle of all the bars and restaurants on that main road. So, everything in Cenang/Langkawi is at your doorstep.

The stay was comfortable and pleasant. The staff here is friendly. It feels safe to stay in this hotel. Plus, everything is accessible - the beach is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, the Cenang mall is just next door for cheap beers and chocolates and plenty of eateries and mini markets around (some for 24 hours). Definitely worth the stay and price. This is my 3rd time in this hotel and it is certainly my go-to hotel when I'm in Langkawi.

We stayed at the Berjaya Langkawi from December 21st - 24th. Dunno why it says submission date is October - it is 27th December today. My first impression was that the hotel was HUGE. However, a buggy service is available 24/7 that takes you to your rooms and back which was very helpful. The staff were all very friendly and they upgraded our room to a king-sized bed instead of a double bed which was very nice. The room itself was very sufficient. Each little hut protrudes from the face of the jungle (or sea if you paid for the waterside chalets) and on first impression looks very basic. However, they put a lot of effort into doing it up and it looks fantastic inside and each hut has a balcony where each morning you can see monkeys swinging around and various tropical birds. It is fully air conditioned and has a power shower so although it is a hut, the interior has the feel of a standard city hotel room with a rustic feel. The only bad things about the hotel was that it is far from Pantai Cenang (the main tourist area) and Kuah (city center) but taxis are easy to come by and cheap as chips. The main spread for breakfast was massive and good and the facilities fantastic. The spa was wonderful, relatively well-priced and had a wonderful set of baths set into the tropical atmosphere. The themed swimming pool and private beach area with volleyball/football/watersport facilities completed the resort feeling. In terms of tour bookings, we assessed all the options from Kuah to Pantai Cenang and the hotel and found a minimal difference in price. Safety was always the first and foremost concern with the hotel and as they weren't tied to individual tour operators, they were able to offer the most balanced recommendation and suitable tour operator (e.g. families with kids etc). All in all, I would highly recommend the Berjaya Langkawi. If I returned I would most certainly book that hotel again.

i can not believe this location is one of the best in langkawi. i was taking photos of my girlfriend and it was stunningly beautiful. i am telling you from my own experience. when the sunset, the picture is champ and unforgettable. the restaurant inside casa del mar is very special and very authentic. i can enjoy eating these food with my girlfriend. it tastes much like europe i had been to. breakfast is a must have. i love the breakfast over there. i strongly advise you take this casa del mar because i had tried other three hotels in langkawi and casa del mar is one of the best. you can enjoy many activities there and you can relax at the beach. plus, you can rent out movies from there and watch inside the room. the bedroom i had stayed exceeded our expectations. there is a seat outside my room and we can sit and relax on the top outside of room. the service is the best. last time, we had misfortune event due to visa problem. the staff was very due diligent and we solved all the problem and had all things worked out very well. i am very grateful for casa del mar for giving us the wonderful experience. next time i visit langkawi, i would definitely go to casa del mar.

We are very happy with our short stay here in Langkawi, we stayed here for 2 nights. The room was just like in the picture, just nice with all the perfect amenities. The king sized bed was very comfortable, toilet was spacious and clean. The paddy field view is a beautiful sight to see every morning. The location is around 10 minutes walk to Pantai Cenang stretch which makes it the perfect place if you like to have a private stay away from the hustle and bustle of the town. We rented a car to get around Langkawi, and there are sufficient parking space in the villa. The breakfast was also above our expectations. The food choices may be limited but it was delicious. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would definitely stay here again if we return to Langkawi.

First of all, to avoid confusion, this room is situated in Langkawi Lagoon Resort BUT it is managed by Ombak Villa. Very strange thing about Langkawi Lagoon Resort is that the rooms are managed by different contractors..Other rooms here on Agoda might be at the same location, but managed differently. So although the location of this particular room type is Langkawi Lagoon Resort, reception and breakfast, as well as pool use are at Ombak Villa. Not to worry though as they have buggy services to and fro. Another thing is that the room is not seaview although it is 'beachfront'. That just means it is on the beach rather than the seavillage on the water. It is in the main building of the resort. The rooms do not all have balconies and definitely do not have bathtubs, unlike stated here. That said, the resort is quite nice. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Cenang (the main stretch), but still offers an idyllic beachfront experience. Staff are nice too. Definitely worth it.

Beautiful villas with stunning view. You are surrounded by nature. Peaceful and tranquility. The manager and staff were friendly and attentive to your every need.I celebrated my wife birthday,they went the extra mile by giving a cake to her,eventho we didnt request it.Very thoughtful of them. Place is clean and every staff will greet/smile at you whenever you bump into them.They make you feel welcome all the time.The pool is superb. Best vacation. We are goin there again on out nx vacation.
