"Good for families with small children as there are chair beds. The bedroom is spacious and there is a table. The location is very central but when walking in at night it seems a bit shady. Lots of people loitering around and smoking. When you receive the email from the hotel, read it carefully - there is no check in or reception so you MUST remember your code - that is the only way you can enter the building/room. Its nice not having any keys. No facilities. Really weird bathroom made out of an old coke bottle van/wagon. The light in the bathroom is sensor based so it switches off constantly - not great. there is a microwave in the room which is really good for heating up your meals. "

"I had a horrible time when I first arrived to checked in. I made a reservation through agoda for a private room (double bed) but when I arrived, the staff informed me that I was booked as a dorm. I showed my confirmation but the system had me as a dorm and they were sold out in private room to offer me. I contacted agoda and on a hold for 30 mins, but I could get connected. I was extremely stressed after 9hours of flight. Then the staff and a manager offered me a dorm bed (since I have no place to go) and helped me to cancel the reservation for a refund. it really was nice of them. Now, I am upset for agoda which might have ruined my trip to Helsinki, but cheapstay hotel saved me life. Although I left soon without sleeping nor trying the breakfast, I will definitely revisit when im back in Helsinki by booking from other channel rather than agoda. thanks again for everything and God bless all of you."

"I spent two days in this great hotel and I will do the same next time I am in Finland. The hotel is located very close to the airport and not minding the fact I landed very late at night, the hotel sent their shuttle to pick me up. The room was spacious and had everything I ever wanted from wonderful lists of channels on the flat screen TV, a speedy wifi, clean towels, large bed with great pillows, a wonderful breakfast spread and excellent staff. The breakfast was simply awesome and was served from 3:30am till10am; that's the first I had met in my entire life. When I asked for a hot cup of milk for my cereals, the breakfast staff were fast in executing that. All the receptionists I met were fabulous and gave me directions on how to explore the city centre. They were equally hospitable and down to earth. The shuttle drivers were equally kind and well mannered. The hotel is simply one of the best and very cheap too. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone willing to visit Finland. "

"Early check-in. Comfortable beds. No noise (twin room on Floor 7). Excellent receptionist. Modern shower facilities (without a platform, but with a tightly-closing glass door separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom). Huge mirrors. Two armchairs and a simple chair in front of a desk - in a twin room! Fine location: 15 min of leisurely walking to the RR terminal (never believe those sportsmen telling you about 3 min:))). Tokman clothes and food store nearby, at the corner. Budget buffet meals in the nearby metro station (c. 10 euro), - various cuisines. No a/c. High thresholds on the floor for you to stumble over every time you go the bathroom and back:)) On weekdays, the breakfast is till 9.30 :((( - simple, but sufficient. And their buffet lunch is only till 2pm..."

"The microwave oven was very greasy, as well as it container inside. Air filter of hair dryer was fully covered with others hair and dust, and I finally found that it was broken, and I need to wait for long so that my hair can dry up itself before I sleep. Air-conditioner temperature cannot be adjusted and windows cannot be opened, it made the room very hot and stuffy. Room was noisy as I was facing a pub downstairs. Noise was keep going until 04:00 by the time the guests of pub left. The security chain of the room door 201 could be opened from outside, which means that the chain is useless, and cause serious security problem. That’s a very bad experience towards Omena Hotel Helsinki City Centre. I will definitely not choose this hotel anymore, and negative recommendation to my friends."

"Enroute from Sasebo, Japan via Helsinki Holiday inn to Italy. Spent the afternoon at Holiday Inn Helsinki, from the moment I landed I felt everything was organized Andy in place in Helsinki. The free shuttle bus that stops right outside the terminal, on the bus itself is the name "Free Hotel Bus" that takes about 15 minutes. And though the bus schedule for weekday and Sun/holiday are a bit different but there are no concerns impacting their on-time posted schedule. All in all, the Hotel is close to a shopping center, clean rooms definitely not a standard American size room but more important the staff is friendly and cost effective rooms. The refrigerator is stacked with water and other things. Highly recommend making Holiiday Inn Helsinki Hotel your number one choice whether on vacation or just for a night layover. "
