Loved this place! great design for comfort, convenience, and style. Perfect location in cool neighborhood, near trains, variety of shopping, quality eateries, and many tourist sites. All the staff was wonderful, so helpful, friendly and personable! The layout is well thought for needs of travelers and diverse community spaces to be social or private. It's near Shinsaibashi subway station, so it's easy to access to other places. Although it located near the busy area, Catalyst has a quiet environment ,which could make everyone fully rest there. And the facilities are all new and great. Recommended!

I love that the location is not too far to Shinsaibashi, but also is not too close. Because if it's too close than it'd be too noisy, but if it's too far than it'l be too tiring to walk. And this place has the cheapest washing machine, only 100 yen! Compare it to any laundromat that charge you 800 yen! This place is the best!

Right in Shinsaibashi you can't go wrong with this place's location. Pods are makeshift but feature ventilation and are relatively big which is very welcome. Features own cafe/bar/lounging areas and is right next to a famous pancake shop which servers top notch dessert and meal pancakes.

Very clean and comfortable, worth the money. Helpful staff, accommodating, and friendly. and also Great Wifi connection and specially near at the tourist spot in osaka.

Simple, but fantastic! ”

I was only here for one night but the capsule is very convenient, private, and clean. The bed was actually very comfy, and there is a bathroom just a few steps from every capsule. Each capsule has wall outlet for charging your phone, (and I believe a USB port) as well as a small fan that actually keeps the whole capsule surprisingly cool, and a light to keep your capsule illuminated for reading, etc. for this price, it is definitely worth it. It gives you a place to cool off and lie down after a long day of exploring, not so much meant for a place to get work done, and live. I loved my experience here, definitely recommend!

Great hotel”

I stayed in the female dorm. The showers were on a separate floors but everything was clean. Capsules are not sound proof whatsoever but they do come with an adjustable light, fan and small locker. Luggage must stay in a common “luggage yard” inside your room which isn’t much of a room but rather a floor. Staff don’t speak very good English but they were kind. Decoration is what makes this place unique. However I only stayed one night because it’s not a social hotel. As a solo traveler I like to meet new people on the way and this was not the place.

+ The staff at reception is really nice! The upper common room was quiet and nice to hangout. Washroom within the room. Washing machine! - It can get very noisy (people pack their bags or whatever at night) because it is a open space capsule room. You hear literally everyone & every movement in the room. - - male staff running around the female area which is uncomfortable

The staff are so accommodating. You don't need to check out everyday which is different from a usual capsule hotel in Japan. No lockers for your stuff but there's a common area where you can put it. No towels, you need to pay extra for renting. Lounge is beautiful! Bathrooms are private, not common bathing area. Smoking area is at the lobby.

혼성 도미토리 (Mixed Dormitory)”

One of the best advantage of this hostel is there is no limitation in check-in time. So it is resonable to passangers who arrive very late time. Also they gave a toothbrush, toothpaste, a body towel and a disposable shaver for free. Dormitory was cozy and peaceful. In addition, shower room was seperated by gender. Finally, staffs are good at English and friendly.

Cheap and great location but DISAPPOINTED”

I know, but I can't say it's worth it. I've been staying at kinda this dorm dozens of times so far but had a horrible experience this time. The thing was... noise, and air in the room, that made me suffer every single morning and night for 4 days of my stay. Since there's no ceiling or cover thing above the upper bed, So I could very easily hear all kinds of noise especially from washroom when the door's unclosed, and no-manner people's talking at midnight. And the air was always stuffy, dusty and hot because the A/C and the air purifier there in the bedroom and shared shower room, didn't seem to work at all for whole area in a floor, and cleanliness wasn't good enough. I could found thick layers of dust everywhere, even on the fan of air circulators and hair dryer. It caused most people allergic reaction like sneezing, couching and sniffing that represented how bad the air was. I don't usually do the long review like this but they really need to improve and upgrade the space.

Cool aesthetic, and provides a lot, but bad dorms”

Has a lot of potential and a cool flair, but sadly it was hardly possible to sleep in the dorm. Same goes for the rooms, the lobby and reception look very nice, but the actual dorms look very run down. You could also hear everything and people were making out and eating noisily and the middle of the night. I spoke up repeatedly and told them to take it to the lobby, but they didn't.

New chill out hostel ”

Level 2 lounge was small but adequate as I’m usually there alone or just a few others with me. The facilities are always clean and made me feel safe. Toilets are spacious and always so clean!!!! Thanks staff

Highly recommend ”

5 stars! Just 2-3 min walk from subway. Hostel is kinda new. Good facilities, its super clean plus there’s free breakfast also! Just kinda hot if you stay in the lower bunk

Nice stay”

The staff was really nice and the facilities was clean. Around 5 min walk from the nearest station, but the surrounding was dark in the night. The bed was too soft for my back too (personal taste).

Great hotel in the center of Osaka”

We stayed there for 3 nights and it was a great choice, the beds are very comfortable and the staff always helpful.

Great location near Dotonbori and Train station”

A 15 minute walk to Dotonbori (where you can shop and eat). Walkable also to the train stations. Comfy bed and pillows. So far, great experience.
