Understated Luxury”

We are typically not in the market for this caliber of establishment. After our experience at Ana Mandara Dalat, we just might change that. There was a good deal via Agoda ($88 for a villa room before taxes). Expedia has similar offers. This was our one splurge in Vietnam, and if you want one splurge then I can highly recommend doing it here. Dalat is an ideal place for it, because the town is nothing special whereas Ana Mandara offers an oasis of peace with organic gardens, fruit trees, and an abundance of flowers and songbirds. We spent a lot of time on the well-maintained grounds. There is a fabulous pool area with full long sun (weather permitting of course!). The pool itself is heated to take the sting off. Laps are possible, it's a long pool. The gym is small but good. There was supposed to be a free yoga class by the pool in the morning but I showed up and no one was there. The spa is world class with qualified therapists. I have never had a proper massage before this and now I know, you get what you pay for. I opted for the Asian Blended massage and it's a must if you want to feel energized and emotionally recharged after the treatment. The kitchen was impressive. It's worth arranging your stay for a weekend if you can because the buffet breakfast is beyond the call of duty. Chef changes the options daily so boredom is not an option. One day there was a tofu/lemongrass soup, wakame salad, and kimchi as well as mung bean congee and a white bean and pork stew. They have the Western options as well and you can get eggs cooked to order but you won't need them, there are many more interesting options. I thought breakfast was a sign of the kitchen's quality so we opted for a special wine dinner one night and were not disappointed even though it's more than we typically spend anywhere (the West or Asia) at $40 per person including wine. Wonderful experience ”

My family had 2 night stay in this French colonial villa compound. We chose this place because it reflects the most symbolic vibe of Dalat, a highland which was discovered and developed by French on the first days. And the place didn't disappoint us at the first sight. Nice smooth check in with welcome tea in an early cool breezy morning. We booked a villa studio and our room in real was bigger than we thought, it has 1 living room, 1 huge bathroom and 1 master bedroom. All of these are inside a 100 something year old villa , located across the restaurant and very close the the pool and gym.  Because the resort is quite close to the city center, it is easy to get there for lunch or dinner. So if you want to be in a hotel which has retro vibe, good location, green, quietness, this is the right place.  The hotel has a very good breakfast with variety of choices from local to western dishes, especially vietnamese beef noodle soup Pho, you can have it here with the excellent quality (I am local vietnamese, trust me) which is rarely found in hotels even the good ones in Vietnam. Regarding to the staffs and service, we actually can't have any negative comments. Very helpful attentive staffs in front-desk as well as in the restaurant. Very friendly hard working electric car drivers (because the villas are located quite remotely from the reception so we need these cars to travel back and forth, even at night, however the service is just available before 10pm as I remember ) So this a really a perfect resort for those who want to experience the old style of dalat and have a wonderful time with family and friends.

Amazing resort ”

The level of service received at this resort far exceeds anything experienced at any other place we've ever received. We stayed at Ana Mandara for 2 nights at the beginning of November, on arrival we met our lovely butler Linh. We received a free upgrade to a villa studio in Villa 15. The resort is set in the hills above Dalat, with cool breezes and amazing surroundings. The room was huge, with a big bathtub, 4 poster bed and a great view over Dalat. We were genuinely stunned by the attentiveness of the staff, especially Linh, who organised everything throughout our stay, including our onward travel to Mui Ne and back to Ho Chi Minh. Amazing place to stay in Dalat, don't book anywhere else!

Ana Mandara Resort (Da Lat)”

The overall atmosphere at Ana Mandara is one of calm and closeness to nature. Sited some kilmeters out of Da Lat center on a lightly wooded hill with pine trees, flowering plants and casually manicured grassy slopes, the resort presents a delicious escape from the heat and clamor of Vietnam’s more populated regions. This is, after all, the climate that gave respite, in a former era, to the French inhabitants of Vietnam’s hot and humid lowlands. Once you have settled into your villa, there is no better way to enjoy this setting than to stretch out on a deck chair with a good book. The sunny days give way to cool nights and starry skies. In the company of a significant other, it is all quite romantic and pleasing. The resort itself appears to be well run and efficient. The staff are attentive and helpful. On arrival one is parked temporarily, complementary ginger tea in hand, in a type of gatehouse while some registration formalities are completed. In our case, my partner and I waited for some time while the resort vehicle transferred other guests to their villas. When it was our turn, we were escorted to a villa only to find that it was already registered to some other guests. The mild confusion was quickly resolved and we retraced our steps to find the villa and room in our name. The resort is only a short taxi ride from the town center. However, Da Lat itself is a rather banal city with few attractions of any note, natural or otherwise (mainly otherwise). Hence, there is not much to do in Da Lat once you have walked around the city center and been blasted by car, bus, motorbike and truck horns. It's just another Vietnamese city. There is an artificial lake in the center of town that is quite pleasant in appearance, and its perimeter presents a reasonably calm place to walk. The French colonial style villas on the hill slope setting give Ana Mandara Dalat Resort & Spa a special impression and uniqueness in style.The villas are spacious and very well preserved.We were relax, comfortable and happy during our stay. The breakfast spread was superb both in quality and variety. The staffs are experience, helpful and friendly. The restaurant served the best western lunch and dinner in the cosy and relax atmosphere. We loved the place.

Top Class Hotel”

Ana Mandara is a great choice for a stay in Dalat. The setting in the grounds of dozens of old French colonial villas is perfect. Beautiful gardens, pine trees, allotments growing fruit & veg that supply the excellent restaurant. Nice swimming pool in lovely setting. The rooms in the Villas are clean & spacious, with good size bedroom & bathroom. Staff are very helpful & courteous, especially Thanh & Dung who looked after are tours & arranged treatments in the gorgeous spa. Ana Mandara is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi from town (50,000vnd), so you can get away from the bustle of town. Good town & countryside tours can be booked. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended hotel.

Old and quite resort, nice staff”

if you would like to find a nice, quite and romantic place to stay, ana mandara villas dalat is the place you should choose. we come to this hotel in the early morning and staffs let us to check in. it is really a wonderful start for our tour to visit this flower city. staffs are very friendly and helpful, they help us with tour and direction to nicest place in da lat. breakfast is not so various but good enough to begin a day. we will choose this and come back again. thank you ana mandara villas dalat and all of its staffs

Nice Place To Stay in Dalat”

The resort facility is an old charm villa converted into a resort. There are several villa and each housed several rooms. The decor is nice with warm feeling. The internet speed is not that impressive for which I have to rely on it to conduct my business daily. The spa treatment is very reasonable for two, and the service is great. The restaurant foods are much better in price and quality when compared to Sofitel Dalat Resort. One thing that I really did not enjoy much was the surrounding neighborhood in which you have to pass through them before entering the resort. At night time, you can hear the neighborhood dog barking and this can be a problem if you wish to have a quite night to sleep.

Really unique French deco bungalows.”

the ana mandara villas are really unique: french art deco bungalows built in the thirties to give french government workers a break from the heat of saigon up in the cool mountain air of dalat. each bungalow has several bedrooms upstairs and a huge dining cum living area with bay window downstairs. the bathrooms are fabulous in their old-fashioned style with free-standing claw footed bathtub. the heated swimming pool is very big ana a great temperature. the resort is nestled in huge grounds filled with pine trees. breakfast was very extensive in the selection on offer. i would willingly return to this resort in the future.

Attention to detail in beutiful tranquil setting”

ana mandara is situated on a hill in dalat giving it superb views of the town. each villa is set amongst the tree-filled immence property giving it a lovely feel of privacy. the rooms were lovely with excellent amenities and a great attention to detail. staff were friendly and professional and you even get your own 'butler'. i didn't have enough time to check out the spa treatments but the pools was great. the buffet breakfast was huge and had everything you could imagine to keep domestic and foreign visitors happy. there were all the usual vietnamese breakfast dishes, japanese dishes, cheese and meats for the germans, pastries and croissants for the french, bacon, sausages and omelettes to order for the english and cereals, fruit and yoghurt for the rest of us. wow.

Five star in nice landscape”

Lovely resort a bit far from center It is a lovely resort in Dalat with many villas style. Each villa has few rooms in two levels and is different. than the other villas. So depends on the villa you will have different feeling about this resort. The resort is well kept, clean and with nice environment of trees and path walks. It is on hill so many slops up and down. The staff is very-very courteous, polite and helpful. The breakfast is great with many varieties, Western and Asian food. The swimming pool is median size outdoor and heated. Check-in and check-out is fast and smooth. The only drawback for this resort is its location. It is about 10 min car drive from the center of Dalat, taxi cost 40,000 VD each way.

Amazing in every way!”

Ana Mandara is, put simply, one of the greatest resorts I've experienced. The rooms are set in one of a number of unique French colonial villas. Rooms are tastefully decorated, with fantastically comfortable beds and spotless, beautiful bathrooms. I cannot say enough about the staff. Besides having your own butler, every member of the staff is available to help with your every need. I had my mobile phone stolen while in Dalat, and the staff escorted me to police stations to file a report and then helped translate a flyer for me to hand out around town. All this with wide smiles! Special thanks to reception for their endless help.

Great Dalat hotel”

Ana Mandara Villas in Dalat was the perfect spot for a few days' relaxation - the resort is just out of town in a beautiful and tranquil location. Rooms are beautifully set out and spacious, service was impeccable and the excellent breakfast buffet didn't leave anything to be desired. There's also a lovely heated pool and a great spa. Not cheap but a great treat. Highly recommended.

Enjoy the comfort of a hotel in your own villa”

This is the right choice for expatriates who want to get out of Vietnam's hot and noisy cities. Dalat is a unique place with a very pleasant climate all around the year. The resort is quiet and you really feel at home in the beautiful villas of the resort. It is suitable for families, because the villas offer a lot of privacy. Altough located a little outside the city, the center and most of the attractions are reachable within a short ride by the free hotel shuttle or taxi. Breakfast buffet was excellent in a nice setting on the veranda of a villa. The only problem for families with small children is the pavement of the streets within the resort (not suitable for children in buggies). A problem is also the way some of the guests drove their SUVs within the resort.

Cool and sweet morning air!!”

Dalat is a hidden gem in the tropical South East Asia. 30 min flight from Ho Chi Minh brings you cool weather in a well appointed resort city. This was my 4th visit to Dalat and stayed this famous hotel for the first time. Cool and sweet morning air in the pine trees gave me total rejuvenated sensation. Though villas are becoming a bit old (though very nice), this massive garden full of pine trees is totally unique. Breakfast in such beautiful garden gives you a heavenly impression. Aroma from coffee factory standing right next to the hotel is a nice addition. If you are able to ride a motorbike, you can rent the one nearby. This will make your stay perfect.

A relaxing haven”

This is our second stay at Ana Mandara in Dalat and we have numerous friends who have also loved staying here. We love the way the wonderful original buildings have been maintained rather than modernised, yet with all the comfort and convenience of a modern hotel. This time we travelled with our 11 week old daughter. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with anything that was needed for her. Ana Mandara serves wonderful food, takes care of its guests very well, and is a calm and quiet retreat from the noisier parts of town. Stay here if you want a break from faceless modern hotel chains; you won't be disappointed.

Unbelieavable - Europe in Vietnam!”

This was our first time to Dalat, and we loved it. Ana Mandara is totally like a small part of Europe in the heart of Vietnam. The staff are amazing, and will help you to do whatever you want. If you need some time out from the craziness of Vietnam, stop by Ana Mandara, relax in the day spa like my wife. Or if you are looking for adventure, go extreme mountain biking like I did. We cant wait to go back, hopefully with friends to share a full villa for a longer period.

The Ana Mandara Resort & Spa is a great place to stay. If you are looking for a place where you can really relax - Ana Mandara is a good place to be. It's located by itself, in the hill with nice architecture & interior. The Villa is quiet most of the time and the atmosphere in the resort is always very peaceful. We are, as a couple really like to stay in this place. The staff were helful and very pleasant. All the staff say hi & smile with us wherever we saw them, that really a good thing. Very good bed, soft, clean & make our sleep very deep. Great hotel, it is in is own league of standard & better than all the hotels I have ever stayed through out South East Asia.

A holiday within our holiday!”

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay so much so we stayed longer and never left the Villa grounds...we enjoyed spa treatments and cooking lessons and also took time to soak in the beautiful bath tub in our room. It was a very romantic setting and we enjoyed this time to quietly plan the next leg of our travels around Vietnam taking full advantage of their pillow menu and the heated swimming pool! The staff were lovely and happy to help we came to Dalat on the local bus from Nha Trang...a fast and furious drive over the mountain ranges :)...we left via the Airport just out of Dalat (20ks) We loved our French Villa surrounded by mountains as mentioned above it was our holiday within our holiday for 2 blissful days!

Heaven on earth”

We stayed at Ana Mandara in Dalat from 5th of May till 8th of May. We found the food there at its restaurant was really nice, good quality and tasty. Artichoke salad is a must to try and we also had a romantic dinner at the villa one day with a bottle of champagne and it's one of the best nice for our trip in Vietnam. We also tried the spa, the asian blended massage was so good. The therapist was excellent and beyond our expectation. Highly recommended.
