Nice Hotel and Great Location”

The Riviera is a nice hotel in the Zhongshan area of Taipei. While not as extravagant as some the bigger, more expensive "5-star" hotels, it offers a fine location for business and/or touring the city. Our room was clean and quiet, and the price included free internet, free parking and the breakfast buffet. The hotel provides free one-way rides to several Taipei sightseeing locales, such as Taipei 101 and the National Palace Museum. The MRT subway is a short walk away, and can get you anywhere in Taipei quickly and inexpensively. There are also numerous restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We would stay there again.

Perfect location to discover Taipei, excellent 5* ”

We stayed in the Riviera during our stay in Taipei - and we are grateful that we found this 5* plus hotel. The rooms were always in good condition, very clean, very nice and friendly style. The coffee was always good and we (European Traveler) got always a double expresso without any charge for breakfast :-). The pasterie is particular good and the restaurant provides for live piano hours from 6 PM to 9 PM. In particular it needs to be emphasized that the staff was not only extremely friendly and were always very kind to our 3 yr old daughter. The staff helped us to find a Kindergarten for her, while we were discovering Taipei, they helped us to find a good dentist and they were always very helpful and concerned that we did not get lost in Taiwan and Taipei. Certainly one of the best stays Taipei offers!

Christmas in Taipei”

Our 4 night stay in the Riviera Hotel Taipei was great. Room was clean, accomodating staff and there's free wifi. Speed of the wifi is at 25mbps which is awesome. The hotel is also near the MRT stations which makes it accessible. There's a free hotel shuttle to some tourist destinations. This is a highly recommended hotel in Taipei.

Excellent Hotel Staff from every level ”

We had another family who was staying in the same hotel and Riviera staff were able to arrange a connecting room on the same day of my request via email. We had arranged to catch the hotel shuttle bus to "shi ling" night market. However, the shuttle bus was not available and the hotel arranged a taxi to bring us there at their expense. I was impressed! It reminds me of the same experience we had in Japan a few years ago. It's hard to get such excellent service these days especially if one is in China. The hotel was replacing the carpet on the floor below us and the inevitable noise of drilling and knocking were heard when we checked in. My daughter was woken up from her nap on the day of our check in. I checked back with the front desk the following day after my breakfast. In the evening when we got back to the hotel, the front desk from a later shift actually came to apologise about the noise and she assured me that the management had taken care of the issue. They gave me the impression that they really take our concerns very personally. The level of spoken English at the front desk is score of 10 out of 10!!!

Great Location and decent rooms”

This is my first stay in Hotel Riviera Taipei and I was very very comfortable with the Rooms, House keeping and Friendly Reception . I got very good help from the Reception Desk to identity the restaurants. Free shuttles to Computex helped a lot and we used it for all the 5 days . I enjoyed my stay and happy to visit again.

Nice boutique hotel”

I travel monthly to Taipei for business trip and that was my first stay at Riviera. I must say that I have been positively surprised by that hotel. It is very nice with excellent service and you can be sure to get anything you need. Breakfast is substantial and in a very quiet environment. Also tried the in room dining and it was excellent. I will go back again on a next trip.

This hotel is so great”

They provide shuttle van to many attractions to airport for free! We found this service very useful throughout our stay. Hotel receptionists and concierge staffs very polite and have service minds. They took very good care for us. They offered us to arrange the taxi for airport and because we have to leave at 6 am they also gave us breakfast box to go. Hotel's breakfast was terrific. The food is so delicious and provide variety of foods. Our room was so clean. The bathroom is even cleaner than newly built hotel. This is non smoking hotel but maybe other guest secretly smoked because we smelled though bathroom ventilation fan. Anyone who want to stay in good hotel in Taipei. We highly recommend this hotel and you will love it. Thank you for making our stay so good.

The Riviera is a great hotel and the staff are exceptional. The location was great for what I needed to do. We enjoyed a great breakfast. I'd certainly stay again, however, I might ask to see the room first. I say this only because I didn't need the rather large office and would have preferred a larger bedroom . Otherwise, the place is spotless and of the highest caliber.

An Experience Worth Remembering”

Discovered Riviera Hotel through Agoda. I like the fresh look and smell of our room although the hotel is not new. it is well maintained and bear the classy design. Staff are very friendly and responsive. I had an accident in one of our trips and the officer on duty went out of her way to make me comfortable and apply first aid on my wound. this is alone im very thankful. My only complain is the noise on the next room, like heavy bed or cabinet are moved at night.

Very nice hotel, super friendly and helpful staff”

we had a lovely time at the riviera. i was a bit concerned that it would be out of the way of the biggest attractions, but it's actually in a very nice area, and around 4 blocks from the mrt station. it's also near a bus stop to the airport shuttle bus. within walking distance are also the museum of fine arts and two beautiful temples. there are nice restaurants around and the staff can book a table for you. rooms are comfortable, not modern in style but nice, clean and quiet (this actually applies to the whole hotel, not just the rooms).

Nice classic hotel with good service.”

I was staying at the Riviera hotel for four nights with family for some sightseeing. The hotel is a bit outdated and old but it is kept quite good into shape with most of the appliances you'd expect from a modern hotel. The breakfast buffet was incredible. They even have a dedicated chef that makes you omelets, scrambled eggs whatever you can think of with eggs. The room was nice and clean albeit a bit tight for three people, everything else was top. The staff was very nice and helpful.

My wife and I had spent one night at The Riviera Hotel Taipei. We like the room we stayed at. It is pretty and cozy. The breakfast is good, too.

I was surprised at how nice the Riviera hotel was. We chose it because it was the closest to the Grand hotel where I was having a conference. It was far better than any room in the Grand hotel.

Wonderful experience”

We stayed for 4 nights at The Riviera Taipei and won't hesitate to stay here again next time. Our room was spacious and very clean. There's a lovely roof garden and gym, which felt like a private garden when we used it. Front desk staff are very welcoming and helpful. My birthday fell on one of the days and I was surprised with a complimentary strawberry cake and card delivered to my room. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel.

Exceptional”

This is my second time staying in this hotel. I like the friendly service provided by the hotel staff, and the hotel also provided shutters Tpt service to train station and a fews tourist attractions. Train station is about 10mins away from the hotel. I will still choose this hotel if I go Taipei for holiday.

Excellent place and wonderful staff”

Stayed here for 4 nights for the New Year's. The staff and managers were very accommodating, welcoming, and kind. The room was pretty clean and spacious -- and this is coming from a person that is very OC on cleanliness. Breakfast options was great. Location was accessible, walking distance to MRT and bus. Nearby to a park where you can go for a walk, jog, chill / relax, and with a neighboring foodcourt. You'll see parents with kids, people with their pets, and seniors chilling around the park, it's a very homey community. Had a superb experience here and would stay here again next time we visit Taipei.
