Great location at Sun Moon Lake”

The hotel (or B&B) is located near the Ita Thao Visitors Center at Sun Moon Lake. We feel it is at the best of the three visitors center locations. It is a quite area with a great view of the lake, very little street traffic and has it's own shopping / food vendors. The hotel manager / owner is very friendly and helpful and is at the hotel everyday. The hotel is very clean, quite, comfortable, modern and well kept. We had a deluxe double on a high floor and requested a corner room with a large window. This room had a great view of the lake. The breakfast buffet had a great selection. We spent two nights / three days at Sun Moon Lake and would highly recommend Hu Yue Lakeview Hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and big rooms overseeing sun moon lake”

Hu Yue Lakeview B&B is located at the other side of 水社码头, the more popular and more scenic side of Sun Moon Lake. However, rooms at that side is more pricier if you were to get a room with unblock view of Sun Moon Lake. The area where the hotel is situated is very quiet at night but there is a Starbucks 10 minutes walk away and a convenience stall just around the corner of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and as this is a new hotel, the room looks new and clean.

Amazing stay! Very surprised about his great hotel”

We stayed in Hu Yue Lakeview for one night on our visit to the Sun Moon Lake. We were very surprised by the Hotel. The location is directely on the lake. The hotel is very stylish, clean and the staff is so friendly. We had an amazing view on the lake and a huge room with very large bathroom. The breakfast was internation and also in a very stylish bar with view of the lake. We will come back- for sure!

Basic hotel with nice clean room right at the lake”

We couldn't be happier with our choice to stay at Hu Yue, It is right at the pier. you get a full view of the sun moon lake without any building infront of you. the pier is not too busy. mostly the boat will just be parking there. The room is very basic. Nice big bed, clean bathroom. The pillow is a bit too soft for my liking. We got the corner room on 7th floor. It was huge! Have balcony and sitting area. Location is at Ita Thao pier, Its not the main pier where you arrive to sun moon lake but after seeing Shuishe Pier (where the bus drop you off) We much prefer Ita Thao area, Shuishe pier is very run down and touristy. Travelling from Shuishe to Ita thao is easy, there is a bus running every 30 mins that go from Shuishe pier and around the lake. We would get up in the morning have breakfast catch a bus to shuishe pier rent a bike and ride around the lake. take around 3 hrs. (we were going slow) and you can stop at visitor center for lunch. There is a big GIANT bike store there to rent the bike they closed onThursday. So we rent from small shop not far from them. Also GiANT bikes at cheaper rate. FOOD: hotel offer breakfast. Ham, sausage, bao, fried rice, congee with toppings, toasts and some fruits. Basic stuff. For lunch /dinner there's restaurants in Ita thao but nothing romantic. There is a cafe called Tea 18 nice little place to have your tea and kill 30 mins. Must try black tea ice-cream! Do your homework before you go of how to get there. Local dont speak english and information center speak 'okay' english.

Wonderful Stay”

We had a great time at Hu Yue Lakeview Hotel. The staff were all very helpful and kind. They accommodated all our requests and made sure that we had a comfortable stay. They also sell tickets to nearby attractions such as the ropeway and Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village at a discounted price. You can also buy ferry tickets from them for only 100 NTD. We booked the deluxe double room and it has a magnificent view of the lake. It was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed. The complimentary breakfast was good and has good selection of western food. All in all,it was a delghtful stay. We would love to come back and stay for a bit longer.

There were 9 of us spending a night @ Hu Yue & everyone was very satisfied with their rooms! They have 4 different room types & we were taking up the whole floor which means we've tried out all the rooms!! My fds didn't expect anything from Hu Yue as it looks a bit old outside but it actually turned out great inside!! Some fds even said they wanna take the beds home!! Breakfast selection is limited & it would be nicer if they could add a bit more choices!! Would love to stay @ Hu Yue if we ever come to Sun Moon Lake again!!

Hu Yue Lakeview B&B Very clean. Modern design, spacious rooms & bathrooms. All staff very friendly and helpful. Plus signage and instructions clearly written in English. Breakfast good variety, with top floor view. Comfortable bed, nice linens, well equipped room. Quiet. Unobstructed lake views (many in town are obstructed), including from pleasant balcony. Perfect location, right at the pier. Included boat transportation day passes = added value. Ita Shao pier more to my liking than the Shuise side. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely hotel and great service with a smile”

Our stay at Hu Yue was splendid. We took a cab from Taichung HSR station and the cab driver had not heard of this hotel and didn't know where the hotel was located. Our first thought was "Oh no, it must be a small, secluded hotel". Upon reaching the hotel, we felt extremely relieved. The hotel was clean and modern and the owner was very friendly, very accommodating. We booked a quad family room and the room was spacious, bright and clean. We could view the entire lake from our balcony. The breakfast spread was the same during our two days stay but it was okay with us. If we were to visit Sun Moon Lake again, we will stay at this hotel.

Spacious, clean hotel with a good view”

Hu Yue is located at Itashao area of Sun Moon Lake, 10 min ferry ride from shui she. The hotel is easy to locate, it is just along the main street facing the lake and shuttle boat pier. The staff were friendly and helpful; and the hotel room was spacious and clean. The hotel also provides free shuttle boat tickets. We enjoyed our stay at Hu Yue Lakeview B&B.

Romantic weekend getaway”

If you're looking for a short trip to Sun Moon Lake and want an excellent view of the lake in Ita Shao, look no further than Hu Yue Lakeview B&B. Friendly and helpful staff, terrific view, and large room with walkout balcony to enjoy the live music. Free cable car ride and goodie bag of lotions provided. Only things I can say need improving are breakfast selection (e.g. no fruit), a firmer bed (personal preference) and it was a little dusty (allergies). Otherwise, great location and wonderful memories!

Nice view, nice service”

I like the location of the hostel. It's close to Ita Thao pier. It's very convenient for you to take the boat. The lakeview of my room was very good. I can see the sun moon lake from my room clearly. Most importantly, the host and the staff here were very nice! On the day I left sun moon lake, I forgot to take my coat and left it in the hostel. When the staff found my coat in my room, they informed me at once. At that time, I had been to Shui She already, which is 15 km away from the hostel. The host of the hostel drove his car and took my coat to me . It's really very kind of him!

Relaxing with best view of Sun Moon Lake”

If I will to return to Sun Moon Lake, I would definitely opt for this same hotel. Our triple sharing room facing the lake has the best view of the lake. In fact, the view from our balcony appeared in one of the travel brochure that I came across so when we were allocated the room, I was but all excited. Our stay comes with free tickets to for an hour yatch ride to a nearby islet. Although the cost of the room is a bit pricey , but after staying two nights in the B&B, I have no regrets paying for the stay as we had a relaxing stay at the B&B. The cable car ride to Formosa Aborginal Cultural Village is only a 10 minutes walk from our B&B. There are shops and restaurants just right downstairs and the yatch ride is within 2 minute walking distance. Our balcony view also allow us to see the dancing and singing performances by the locals without having to leave our room. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay at your B&B.

Perfect location for food and entertainment”

Most of the rooms come with jetty view of ita shao! Stayed in deluxe double which is very spacious. Bathroom is a little old fashioned but they are clean. Overall, sun moon lake turns into dead town when the sun goes down. So most of the night time, we bought in some food and drink, chill over the movies in the room. Next to Hu Yue, there’s this paddle boat and kayak services.

Nice and New Hotel ...”

We spent 1 night at Hu Yue and it was a great experience. We booked a family room which can accommodates 4 adults. It has 2 king bed in the room. Spacious. Toilet with bathtub and seperate standing shower. Comes with a balcony with marvelous lake view without any blocking. We were given the highest level (Level 7). Good experience. If I were to go there again, I will stay in this hotel again.

Good Location and Spacious Room”

The room is spacious and newly decorated.The hotel is facing the lake with good view. The area (Hu Yue) where the hotel is located is a lively twon with planty of activities in the evening. The hotel can accessed by boat from the opposite side of the lake and also by the rour bus which goes around the lake.

Spacious, Lake View, Clean, Awesome”

Spacious room with full length window overseeing the lake. Waking up to a beautiful sunny day shining over the calm lake. View was perfect even without a balcony. Reception was welcoming and hassle free. Carpark was free but quite a distance away. After following the staff to the carpark, u could be the pillion on his bike sending u back to the hotel. Room lightings were electronically controlled via a console, wall mounted beside the bed. Bathtub, rain shower and a fully equipped bathroom available. Highly recommended to a night stay at Sun Moon Lake. The area can be covered within a day, hence, one night is enough.

One of the Best hotel in the world”

It was a very pleasant stay in Taiwan. I love Taiwan, the food and the people. Hu Yue offers one of the best view I have experienced in life. Many details in the hotel are very thoughtful, like the Panasonic toilet seat, glass wall from the balcony so that you can even see the view on the bed and the rose bath powder.... My friend forgot his backpack (with passports inside) in a nearby restaurant and the restaurant owner actually returned his bag back to the hotel because he has a hotel booking sheet inside. It was like a miracle. I love the hotel and I wish I could get a holiday and come back in Christmas.

Comfortable”

While checking in, the hotel staff explained in detail of what we needed to know. Always friendly and greeted us whenever they saw us. They have really nice lakeview. It is also nicely located right behind the pier at Ita Sho. Everything is true to picture as what you have seen. There are some bad point which is even though the room is really really clean, we woke up to find 3 young cockroach around us. Also, not being able to lock the toilet door is kind of a bad idea for group.(Lucky enough we're a group of girls.) Well, Internet speed is superb, awesome and still awesome. A very holy thing for a city kid like myself. Overall, I love this place and should i ever come back, i'll definitely stay in Hu Yue again. Thumbs Up!

Good location, Smiley staff, modern design ”

Very hospitable team of staff and owner. We were greeted even before we stepped into the hotel. During check in, the staff team presented us with a set of Loccintaine toiletries & a box of Oolong Tea & a pair of Sun Moon Lake ferry tickets (unlimited rides for a day). Room is spacious, modern, clean and has a good view of the lake. It's location is superb, just in front of Ita Pier, in the shopping district for food and souvenirs. Walking distance to the cable car station. The owner's Son is very helpful, humble and hospitable. Overall a very pleasant stay. Will come back to stay here next time . Highly recommended 👍

Probably the best hotel in Sun Moon Lake”

Located just in front of the Ita Thao pier, with all the rooms facing the serene Sun Moon Lake. Full-size windows make the view even more enjoyable. The room is modern, clean, and extra spacious. The bathroom is also big, with shower area and bath tub. Breakfast is delicious and has many varieties, located on the top floor, with breath taking view while enjoying your meal. There was some singing/dancing performances on the pier occasionally for extra pleasure. Many local foods and shops are available just steps away from the hotel. Staying 2 nights here was the highlight of our 11 days Taiwan trip.
