Great Hotel to stay for visiting Alishan Mountain”

From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we could not help but be impressed. We stayed in Chiayi as a stopover to go to Alishan mountain . Day Plus Hotel is situated 10-15 min walk from the train station and shops/restaurants. Day Plus Hotel appears to be a new establishment with its tasteful funky furnishing and fitted with up to date technology. ( You only have to see the foyer and the hotel rooms themselves don't disappoint either!) In addition, I liked that the hotel room was very clean, spacious and the professionalism of the staff who were very helpful and polite. This Hotel made the stay in Chiayi all the more enjoyable :)

"it is not a hotel, it is a home"”

The tag-line of this property is "it is not a hotel, it is a home" They are quite right on that count, though I don't think I have ever stayed in a home quite so flash! It feels like an up-market apartment; and when you enter the building, you could easily mistake it for a fancy cocktail bar. There is art-work and photographs adorning the walls, and the atrium on the higher levels allows a glance at the design of the lower levels. This property is strong on comfort and style. It is a welcome change to stay in a hotel in Taiwan where someone has actually paid attention to the design and made sure everything is in the right place. It is hard to fault this hotel. However, you will pay through your teeth to stay here. It is twice the price of other business hotels in Chiayi and all you really get is the room. Location is okay, though I prefer something closer to the train station. There are two departments stores and many restaurants and bars outside. Also the BRT line runs down Chueiyang Road, so you can take it to Chiayi Park, or back to the Transport Center (which connects the train station, HSR station[40 minutes away], and long distance buses). It is also a 10 minute walk to the Carrefour and night market, and about 20 minutes to the Wenhua night market. I would certainly recommend for you to stay here once, if only for the novelty.

Wonderful hotel with great service”

We stayed 1 night at Day Plus before proceeding to Alishan in Sep 2012. For the price we paid, it was a great deal, as we got a free room upgrade to a triple room which was spacious. We like the hotel decor, feels very homely. In addition the room was very clean, fully equipped and well-maintained. The only grouse I had for this hotel was its room aircon temperature would auto-adjust & I woke up in the middle of the night perspiring as the room got warm. I didn't even need to use the blanket as the bed seemed to auto-generate heat.

No Regret”

We could not find any complaint on this hotel. The room is neatly maintained and the staff is very accommodating. On our last day, the door knob was broken and as compensation, the staff agreed to extend our check-out to 14.00 and even gave 2 mugs as token of apologies. The mugs are not so much in value but the hospitality was beyond our expectation. It's also strategically located nearby the Chiayi Railway station and other shopping district.

Theme Hotel”

Day plus hotel never disappoint me for the concept theme hotel. The hotel is brightly lit and well decorated. The design concept is cool, and definitely value for money. The location is within walking distance to Chia Yi railway station, approximately 10 minutes walk. The only thing disappoint is that there is not much attraction or night market that is walking distance from the hotel too. But nevertheless, the hotel do provides bicycle rental which makes up for that. The hotel staff, especially Linda is very friendly and professional in assisting us with our concerns. We were having problem booking train tickets to Alishan, Linda assists us and never gave up despite having the same technical problem encountered online. She even go to the extent to call the railway hotline and see how could she assists and helps. In the end, the technical issue still couldnt resolved within the website. Alternative way is provided by her afterwhich. We appreciates what she had done.

Chic hotel”

Day Plus Hotel is such a chic and refreshing hotel in Chiayi. Comfortable room with some pictures of Chiayi city shoots makes me into this place. Can grade it as four-star hotel for its appearance and breakfast offered.

Pleasant Surprise”

Thank you to the wonderful staffs at the hotel whom helped to prepare the room decor for my fiancée. The hotel display, decor were brilliant and I feel the zen-ness the moment I stepped into the lobby. Great hotel to be in if you are visiting Chiayi. There is a 7-11 across the road and a 5 min walk to the departmental store. Slightly far away from the food street but it is not hard to move within the Chiayi city. Will definitely stay in this hotel again. T

Rooms are clean & big. Had a great family room for 4. Nice bathroom with nice amenities. Breakfast is generally ok. Tried 2 days there but somehow the porriage is always only warm, never piping hot. Location not too near the free HSR bus route drop-off but just ask. Not hard to find the hotel. Otherwise, the Chiayi train station is just somewhat behind the hotel.

Room: Our Family Room was of a good size. Decor was modern contemplary which was really to my taste. Beds were large and there were more pillows than we could use. Bathroom was open-concept, and was equally modern in design. We loved how the bathroom ameneties (toothbrushes, combs, shaving kits, etc) were arranged in a jigsaw-puzzle-like fashion completing a picture on a frame. Service: Receptionists were flawless in their warmth and helpfulness. Meals: Buffet breakfast was had in the basement restaurant. Spread was surprisingly good, as did the food standards. There were more staff than patrons so food was constantly replenished. Others: The hotel was located near a dead-end of a main street in Chaiyi. It was about 5 min walk to the city centre. They had parking beside the hotel as well as basement lots. The hotel's theme is centred around their motto "Have a nice Day", and this was present all over the lobby and corridors. Again, the lobby and walkways were tastefully decorated in modern colors and style. 2 x 27" iMacs were placed in the lobby for guests' use. The lonely souvenir shop offered "souvenirs" of exorbitant prices, well, at least by Taiwanese standards.

Awesome looking hotel, fantastic room”

the hotel is a short walk from the main train station. chiayi city is a little run down with lots of old buildings, however, this hotel is the gem in the rough with a modern exterior and interior. the room we had was large with an impressive bathroom. a very nice place to rest after a day of exploring the city by foot. the best thing about the room was the large tub which was great to soak in. the breakfast has an okay selection of asian and western food.

Inexpensive and great hotel here in Chiayi”

I was greeted by the polite and considerate staffs, and it was delighted to know that my room has been upgraded. There are complimentary coffee at the lobby for you to take a sip while you relax on the sofa. The room is spacious and the facilities seems to be maintained well. Complimentary parking is also provided just next to the hotel. The price is quite affordable and with all these advantages, I do believe it's one of the best choices here in Chiayi.

Clean and lovely hotel”

the location is quite good. it is not far from bus station and train station to alishan. however, it is a bit difficult to find the hotel when getting down from the train. the hotel banner is small and it is not written "day plus" as we expected to see but it came as "day+" with the + appeared in small size. the hotel and the room are lovely and clean. the staffs are nice.

Very Homely”

This Hotel is situated abit far from the ChiaYi Train station. It provided very nice Breakfast and also the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Distance from the hotel to most tourist places are technically far but still possible to walk to them (about 15-20 mins), less the Chiayi park, which you will have to take a cab.

Fantastic hotel”

Booked 2 rooms in this hotel, rooms are very spacious, king size bed and with separate bath tub and overhead shower area. Complimentary parking space available next to hotel . There is a convenient store right across. 2 mins walk to a decenr massage place to the left of hotel. Will recommend to everyone visiting Chiayi, Taiwan!! Thank you Dayplus!

One night stay”

We only stayed for one night to take the Alishan Forest Railway but I wish it was a little more. The room was a lot bigger then all my other hotels in Taiwan and had a nice modern but luxurious feel. Close to Chiayi station which is your stop to get the the Chiayi HSR.

A new artistic hotel”

This boutique hotel is very artistic from the exterior and interior design. Internal environment is comfortable. Room and washroom are big and tidy, the room has everything necessary, attended with details. A good experience in Chiayi, will come back again for next trip.

Great place to stay in Chiayi area”

The location is quite near my destination the next day, and I was delighted that the staff has upgraded my room from a non-window type to a room with window, which is great as it's good to have some light in the room. The staffs are polite and considerate. The room itself is spacious enough and the facilities inside are quite new. I will indeed consider to stay again if I ever need accommodation in Chiayi.
