I was travelling with another two friends of mine. Initially we booked a room from another hotel which was cancelled on the day of our arrival. It was very lucky of us to be able to book this hostel at a good rate at the very last minute upon arrival to Seoul. The owner also messaged me via Agoda to confirm the timing of our arrival to the hostel and our questions were replied promptly. We stayed there for 7 nights. The hostel was quite clean in general, and the room was just nice for the 3 of of us to stay in. My friends even requested their laundry to be done at a reasonable rate and their clothes were returned to them very quickly (within 12 hours). The hostel also provides breakfast and there was a mini lounge/ lobby where we could enjoy our meal and watch TV as well. I would recommend this place as the owner is not just friendly, but helpful, kind and tried her very best to attend to our needs despite having some difficulty in conversing in English. All in all, i am truly thankful that we got to stay in this wonderful place. (:

my second time staying here, hope to be back again”

Since I had good impression and became familiar with the area from my first trip, I decided to stay at Travellers A for the 2nd time. The hostel is very centrally located, walking distant to Dongdaemun, direct bus to Cheonggye plaza and Myeongdong, airport limousine nearby. The lady staff at the front counter was very friendly and helpful which we felt really grateful for that. Clean room and the bathroom is pretty big too. However, our room was on level 4 so bringing the luggage up and down was a bit inconvenient but not a big problem (might not be convenient for elderly) Really hope to visit Seoul again and I hope to be back at Travellers A!

Good experience with great location”

the room is not big but sufficient for backpackers or budget travel with independent shower/toilet. rooms are clean with both wired and wireless internet connection. staff are kind and polite speaking good english. one thing i appreciate most is about the piracy. they photocopied your passport when checking in but will give you back when you check out. one thing to remind everyone: they will collect a deposit of krw 10,000 for the use of hair dryer but you can get the cash back when check out. the hotel is just around 15 mins walking from dongdaemun or myeong-dong and it is very close to euljiro 4-sa (line 2/5).

It's my first time to visit Korea. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only down side is the address posted. Instead of dropping to myeong dong, you should stop at Euljiro 4 ga, exit 4 and go to the right. Other than that, the place is worth the price.

Excellent location, kind hosts, quiet and safe neighbourhood ”

This place is greatly recommended for travellers who are on a budget and want to stay at the center of Seoul. Subway is just a 3-4min walk, bus stations around 4-7 mins, depending on your itinerary. Just be sure to download Naver app for directions. The hosts were very kind as well. Since it is a budget accommodation do not expect too much in terms of room service. Overall we are satisfied with our stay. Definitely, we will book this place again when visiting Seoul in the future.

Closest place to Bangsan Market”

If you are a baker, candle and plaster artist, stay at this hostel so that you can have a daily visit at Bangsan Market. Gwangjang Market is near too. The hostel is clean and the lady at the front desk can speak good english. I have everything I needed: good bed, hair dryer, own fridge, hot shower in my room. I will stay at this hostel again on my next visit. The hostel is very close to exit 4 Euljiro 4 saga station. Airport bus 6015 is just 5 minutes away by foot. It was my first time in Korea traveling alone and I felt at home living in the hostel for 8 days.

Exceptional”

It's a bit hard to find if you get off from the limousine hotel bus stop, but it may be because of our map-reading skills (or lack thereof). The room is quite clean, but there is no lift so be prepared to carry luggage to your room. They've installed a mini-ramp alongside the staircase so you can drag your suitcases. Not sure if their hot water isn't working at the time, but the shower had no hot water. Beds are equipped with electric blankets; they were quite useful as we stayed in Seoul late autumn. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and cheerful. Hotel is also near Jungbu Market, where they sell all sorts of delicious snacks to give to friends back home.

we just booked travelers a hostel for our trip from oct 6-13. even though we check-in late due to the delayed flight, eonnie patiently wait for us. they are really accomodating.. it was cold here and she gave us blankets... thank u eonnie. when we going back here in south korea, i'll booked with the same hostel.

i really enjoyed my stay at travelers a hostel! all the staff were very friendly and helpful. it was a little difficult to find but i ended up getting a taxi and the driver had no problems. the market nearby is an interesting one and well worth a look at. also some of the alley way restaurants nearby were great with very friendly staff. free wireless internet in my room was very handy! thanks all the staff at traveler a hostel!

Worth every dollar spent”

In general, we liked our stay despite it being a budget hotel. I have no qualms recommending it to anyone in need of affordable accommodations in Seoul. Pros: - Very near a subway station which makes travelling to and from the airport hassle-free - Very near a city landmark - Rooms are clean and an electric blanket is provided, which is heaven-sent since we went here sprint time. - Very friendly staff Cons: - No elevators. Our room was on the 4th floor and it's a challenge sometimes to get to our rooms after a tiring day out - Area is 'dead' at night. No nearby restaurants or convenience stores especially at night. The hotel itself doesn't have a restaurant but has a few food items for sale in the lobby

the room is clean and go for an extra mile from my expectation. Hostel rate is cheap and location is quite easy to find. staff are friendly and hv high speed internet. also international call is free and available for each guest three mins a day. I will defiantly book again when i visit Seoul next time.

Great location and good value for money”

Basic accommodation but it's great value for money since location is good and the units are clean. Breakfast provided is coffee, tea, toast, and jam. They have a water dispenser (hot and cold) so you can refill your bottles. They also have a kitchen (2 burner stove top, rice cooker, microwave, utensils,plates) so you can prepare your own meals if you want to.Computers in the lobby are available for guests. No elevator but there is a "slide" on the stairs that makes dragging your luggage a bit easier. Soap, shampoo, hair dryer, and small towels are provided (bring your own bath towel). There's also a small fridge and tv in the room.Hot water, AC/heating, Wi-Fi all worked very well. Front desk ladies are very helpful although English is limited. Place is easy to find as long as you have google maps handy, but local cab drivers find it difficult to locate the hostel. To get here by train, the stop is Euljiro 4(sa)-ga on either line 2(green) or line 5(purple). Take exit 4 and turn right on the next alley. At the end of the alley, turn left and you will see the sign on the left side.Walk is less than 5minutes.

Good for Money and Location”

We travelled to Seoul as couple. The room given to us was clean and it was good for the price we paid. Staff are good in english and the location is perfect. It is near the subway station.

The hostel with convenient location and nice staff”

The hostel with a very convenient location ,only 3-5minutes walk from the metrol station ,Euji-ro 4 ga which is easy to taking train or transfer other line to some tourist spot, also only takeing 45mins from the hostel to Gimpo Airport.Moreover it is nearly to the Dongtaemun Market(15mins walk).And the the staffs are nice and considerable.=]]Though the room is little bit old and small, I would recommend the hostel to the other who would like to get an recommendation in lower price=]

warm services ”

A bit difficult to find it due to the location inside the small streets but actually walk out the small streets will reach the metro near Myeong-dong. The design of the hotel is simple but warm feeling. The hotel staffs were nice and willing to introduce where to take the transport to somewhere and also not mind to take action quickly to my room when I had problem on solving the locker even there is no elevator. The beds are also equiped with electric mats so this is warm at the cold winter night. But there is short of double bed for couples.

Cheap and pleasant”

if you don't mind staying in a location away from the bustling other districts of seoul then this is an a-okay hostel for you. aside from being cheap, it is very near the subway station but if you want to get some exercise in, walking from hostel to different tourist attractions is actually do-able! just stick to the underground passageway if you're scared of getting lost, there are small shops (mostly for old people) and eateries that might amuse you along the way and soon you'll find yourself in myeongdong or dongdaemun. i stayed here by myself and even though the neighboorhood is more for everyday folks, it's not really scary as you're most likely to encounter harmless elderly people.;p

Good location, big room, comfortable”

We enjoyed our stay very much! The girl at the reception during night shift was very helpful as she was the only one there who spoke and understood english. The location is great with most tourist spots (myeongdong, dobgdaemun) walking distance from hostel. Only problem is the very weak pressure hot water in the shower which makes it very hard to prepare in the morning. It will also be better if they could make breakfast time earlier than 8 so that tourists can start their day exploring seoul earlier. :)

reasonable price hostel”

this was our second stay, we stayed in this hostel 2 years ago. we arrived very early in the morning (waking up the staff;their offical hours was 7am). offical checkin time is 2pm but our 7yrs old girl refused to go out and instead sleep on the table. The staff then asked the chambermaid to clear up a room for us. We got it at 10:30. The check-in staff said that we ordered a twin bed room but we had 3 persons, so i explained that the little girl insisted to sleep with her mother so we don't need a third bed. last time we stayed in a 6-bed room (5 persons) and the girl insisted to cram in mother's bed leaving her bed unused. The staff seemed to accept reluctantly but gave us a 4-person room (double & a double deck). We considered that an upgrade. The staff also allow the 3 of us to have breakfast together.

small hotel but excellent location”

The hotel and bedrooms are small. Basic comfort but in iverall ok. However the main strenght of this hotel is its location. You are not far from Myeong-dong, Dongdaenum and at only 25m of Cheonggyecheon-ro which is great to take a walk.
