Affordable and Pleasant”

Affordable and pleasant stay at Sum Guesthouse Busan Stn. It was a little difficult to find, however, the staff were very hospitable and helpful. So far this is my favorite hostel in Korea, because the environment was very warm and friendly. The amenities were communal, but included everything from a hair straightener to body wash. The blankets on the beds were heated, which was lovely because it was very cold outside.

Nice stay”

The room is comfortable and cute. They decorated the guesthouse very nicely. They also provided all things you need from the towel, slippers, shower thingy, shampoo, toothpaste, cuttonbuds, etc. I like the place because it feels like they are looking after your needs. The breakfast is Korean style instead of Bread and jam. Near the guesthouse there is Pork Rice Soup which is worth to try. They have two cute fluffy cats, I was startled when I found out they are real. I thought they were toys coz they just sat there calmly. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Sum Guesthouse. Busan people were so nice ^^

Good place for Backpack”

This is a very nice and clean hostel. 3mins walk to Busan station. 3F check in and activity room, 4F for guys and 5F for girls. We booked the 2 beds room since we are 2 girls that we can occupy one room. The room is very small but good enough for the price. Actually it's a very large floor and divided into different rooms with very thin wall, and all the rooms are connected by the celling. There are only 2-3 big ari-cons in the whole follow, the 2 beds room is at the end of floor, that the air-con is not very strong. The toilet and shower room are shared. If you will check in very late, remember to call them in advance, since the staffs are off on 12 mid night. Breakfast is very good but you need to wash dishes yourself. Highly recommended for backpacks.

Average”

It's very close to Busan Station subway station and KTX/KORAIL station; makes it very strategic in term of public transportation. The public bus hub is also above the subway station. Besides, the city tour bus starts and ends at here too. Apart from that, this guesthouse provides Korean style mini buffet breakfast; makes it the most unique among all the other guesthouses that I stayed in Korea for the past 10 days. The chef is quite talented too. On the other way, the bed condition is a little disappointing compared to other SUM guesthouses that I have stayed so far. In addition, I barely could get a good sleep because the room given is very close to front desk, toilet and kitchen. The males bathroom is a little surprising as well. It's a shared bathroom for two at one time. This is pretty new experience to me. As conclusion, it's still above average.

For those who appreciate art & design”

i didn't expect it's location to be so near busan station, which is so convenient to travel around although there's nothing much happening at night. staff is nice and guesthouse is quiet, so, it's good for those who prefer quiet guesthouse with not much partying.

Easy access, Comfort & Cleanliness”

Good, convenient, comfort budget guest house during my 4 nights stay at Busan. Close to sub-way station, walking distant 5mins. great & local b'fast. we stay at 8 bed female dorm, comfortable bed and good security with touch card key. i will be back for my next Busan trip.

Very warm and sweet hostel ”

I love this hostel, as they have the best location in Busan, super close to Busan station. And they offer slipper and towel, very sweet. The only problem is, you can't use the hair dryer after 11pm. Staff are super nice as well.

Great location and good sleeping”

Very near the ktx station and the near the MRT ,so don't need to walk so far to take any transportations. The breakfast is delicious and I enjoy very much . I like the color of the bedding and the quilt which just makes me have a nice sleeping .Next time when I go to Busan again , I will choice this guest house to stay.

Good and comfortable”

The guesthouse best suits backpackers who are traveling with low budget. It is located 5 mins walk from Busan station and there's a convenient sore located opposite the guesthouse. Do take note that there's two cats at the reception (level 3), they will walk around and smell your luggage. Our room is at level 5, all girls room. Toilets and bathrooms are shared, it might take some time to reach your turn if the guesthouse is full on that day.

Extremely cute guest house!!!”

I had a pleasant stay over the 1 night I was in Busan. The guesthouse was easy to find, however, there was some construction outside the place when I arrive - making going in and out a bit messy. Checking in was easy since I booked via AGODA but they did not entertained my special request for early check-in. Nevertheless, they provided a room to store your bags if you choose to go out for a bite/visiting before your room is ready. The wall was very thin, you could literally hear the conversation in the room next door. Air-conditioned was centralized but you could easily control the temperature (if the rest of the patrons does not mind). The only complaint I have was on the shared bathrooms - it was not very clean. I guess they only clean it once a day but they provided small towel and slipper for bathroom use.

Comfortable”

the stay was quite nice as i was being put with a few other girls in one room, the people were friendly there and i make a few friends from different places. Overall the guesthouse was clean unlike one of the previous one i went when they operated with shared bathroom for entire guesthouse.

I like this guest house's location very much. It takes less 5min from Busan station. and this hostel is pretty clean. though the aircondition was so powerful that the room was cold, I satisfactory as a whole.

Everything here was freaking good, very close to the train station and easy to find. Moreover, there's traditional Korean breakfast which was really good. The staff were really friendly and tried to help us even some of them couldn't speak English. Two shower area in one bathroom and had only a curtain instead the door inside the bathroom. Our room's next to the dressing room and the bathroom area so we could hear everything when we're inside our room because the door couldn't block noise from the outside.

Clean and conveniently located guesthouse”

We stay at the 2 beds dormitory (female) room 304 between 20-24May14. Overall, we have a pleasant stay despite the tiny room which we have learnt to maneuver around. It is a nice environment but our experience was ruined on the last night by inconsiderate Korean gals next door who talk loudly and bang the door late at night and the following morning. We decided to wake up earlier than planned and check out from the guesthouse. We love the authentic breakfast served daily :) There is an adorable resident cat that roams freely at level 3. For those who are not comfortable using open concept shower facilities, cleaning up after use or washing up the dishes after breakfast, please reconsider your stay here.

Good Guesthouse, Comfortable and Value for Money”

During our 2 night stay in early May, it was late spring and it could get a little chilly at night, so the heated bed made it really comfortable to sleep in and it was a nice surprise. It was also off-peak so we paid for a 8-bed room to share, but got a 2-bed (a double deck) room to share so it was cosy. At the showers area, they even provided for stuff like cleansing solution so it was great. The mirror was huge so it's easy for a bunch of girls to get ready at the same time. The common lounge was comfy enough and was modern and furnished with a TV, computer for common use, and even a nail bar for the ladies! Two fluffy, adorable cats roam the area so it's great if you like cats. But they get to the food during breakfast so... if you are particular about hygiene, steer clear. Staff were friendly though some don't speak English much so basic communications only. Location of guesthouse is good, near the train station that connects to Seoul, and to Busan's own train network. Major sights and beaches are half an hour's ride away. Would recommend this cosy place to all.

Close to subway station & Busan KTX station”

Strategically located to Busan Station subway station and KTX/KORAIL station. Also very easy to take the Busan City Bus Tour as it begins & ends at the Busan Station. I was given a room very close to front desk, toilet and kitchen - a bit noisy until everyone has settled down for the night.Breakfast was good & filling. Good for those travelling on a budget.

a complete package hostel stay”

it has all amenities needed in overnight stay, even contact lens solution and mani/pedi corner are there. good breakfast as if you eat ur mom's homecook meal. nearby there's a nice dwaeji gukbap restaurant. it's also walking distance to train and metro station.

Good place for a night ”

I got in late and left early, the doors to the rooms slide and people in the hall were loud but all noise stopped by 1am. If you’re looking for a quiet room, this place isn’t for you, but if you’re flexible and can roll with the punches, it’s a great price for the amenities.

The hotel is pretty convenient and economical. It nears the subway and train station (about 8 minutes by walking). There are many restaurants and the convenient store around. But, it also near the red-light district. (only 3 blocks) Girls should not going alone. The staff in Sum Guest House Station is nice, but too bad they are not good at English. Sometimes, could not communicate with each other... However, I might stay again if I visit Busan in the future.
