Mercure Hotel Ginza Is Great”
The Mercure hotel ginza is an excellent choice for the solo traveller given it's location in the heart of Tokyo's Ginza district. There you will find easy access to a bustling nightlife coupled with a very impressive array of quality restaurants. During the day there are numerous boutique shops and department stores all within five minutes walk. Tokyo central train satation is ten minutes walk away and gives you access to the rest of Japan with ease especially the Shinkansen which is a must do for any first timer in Japan. I found the Mercure to be excellent value for money and coupled with the friendly English speaking staff turned out to be the best choice I could have made for my lodgings in Tokyo.

Mercure Ginza”
I've traveled to Tokyo four or five times over the last couple years and stayed at Mercure Ginza all but one. The location is outstanding, very convenient for Tokyo station and various metro lines including one entrance at the basement level so you don't even need to go outside on a rainy day; the hotel is kept up to a high standard and rooms are comfortable and decent size for Tokyo; front desk staff have in my experience always been quite capable in English; there are lots of good restaurants nearby as well as coffee shops and a Natural Lawson across the street for convenience store items; basically it's a great hotel for the price, especially for Tokyo, so I keep going back there!

Excellent Hotel - service, location & spacious”
Excellent hotel of choice. location is right in Ginza, behind LV store in Matsuya Dept Store. I didn't take the Ginza Itchome MRT line located at B1 of hotel, as Ginza station is only less than 5 min walk away & it has multiple lines to access directly to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Sensoji Temple & Tokyo Tower. Hotel is also 20min walk to Tsukiji Fish Market which the staff gave clear directions to walk there. Room is very spacious for Tokyo standard & i was upgraded to the Ladies room (pleasant surprise) which has facial steamer & L'occitane products. LAN access inroom was fast & only inconvenience is Wifi is only available at Hotel Lobby floor. There's a Lawson convenience store opposite & McDonald below hotel. only thing is finding breakfast in the Ginza area can be tough as the eateries only open at 11am & food tends to be expensive too. I will definitely stay here again for my next visit to Tokyo.

Great location in an expensive city”
the hotel is situated in ginza, the most exclusive part of tokyo, with convenience stores, fast food restaurants, inexpensive local food places and department stores just a few moments walk from the hotel. it is a very short taxi ride to tokyo main train station, it has an underground train station beneath it. the room was smallish but extremely confortable wth wonderful beds and every amenity, probably better than most mercure hotels i have stayed at in other locations. the internet lan in the room was free and fast. after a hard days touring and shopping it was a great place to come back to relax.

great hotel clean and quiet”
i booked this hotel after many hours deciding where was the best spot to get a good look at tokyo in 3 days. i was travelling with 3 teenage boys so i had to be mindful of their needs. in the end the mercure ginza was the hotel i chose. big hit on first arriving as there is a mcdonalds on the corner of the street , a 2 minute walk from the hotel. the other direction on the street is a subway station. mastering the subway is a whole new story. the boys were able to go out safely from the hotel on their own and explore ginza. we ate out each night and the hotel staff were very helpful with recommendations for restuarants. in all i loved the location and cleanliness of the hotel and will be booking it again next time we go to tokyo.

Nice Hotel”
We stayed in Mercure Hotel Ginza in 09/2009. We reserved a Double room, but was upgraded to a Superior room with no charge. Must be due to the recession, I think we were the few guests in the hotel. Location of this hotel is great, 2 blocks from the famous Ginza shopping district. 4 blocks from subway, walking distance to the Fish Market -TSUKIJI. Ask the front desk for a map. A McDonalds is around the corner is you are tried of Japanese food. Room is spacious, with nice soft bed, very clean. Bathroom has the usual tub, sink and the famous hi-tech Japanese toilet. Shampoo, soap, lotion and a hair dryer are available. Internet Access is available in the room, you'll need to plug your laptop into the CAT5 jack. Overall, very happy with the hotel.

Will be Back”
Mercure Ginza is proximately located within 5 mins walking distance to 5 different subway lines in Tokyo, and thus, make travelling around Tokyo more hassel-free. The hotel has many inexpensive eateries (approx USD8 to USD10) within its vicinity. Specifically, MacDonalds is located below the hotel and Starbucks is across the road. The staff are helpful, friendly and speak excellent English. The furnishing of the room is very new and the beds are soft and fluffy (not sunk in). Strongly recommend to anyone travelling to Tokyo.

Very Friendly Staff and Very Good Location”
I have very pleasant experience staying in this hotel. My first impression when they granted my request to change my room (caused by I chose the wrong room in my reservation) without any extra charges although it was no-change and no-refund reservation. The excellent service continue when me and my family arrived at the hotel, the staff make us very comfortable and warmed welcome. The check in process were fast and they gave us early check in. I think that a very good thing to have for everyone after taking a very long flight. Another great thing about this hotel is its location. They have a direct access from their B1 level floor to Ginza Itchome Metro Station. If you want to go to Tokyo Station, you can take the Metro from Ginza Metro Station (about 5 minutes walk) or if you have heavy luggage/in a group you can take a taxi (it cost you about JPY 730 - 1100). The room and the bed size were comfortable enough to stay with my 2 children (1 child and 1 infant). We brought 1 large and 1 medium bag plus 1 baby stroller, and it's still roomy. This hotel is definitely will be my first choice if I'm going to Tokyo in the future and I will recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great Hotel Experience in Tokyo”
The stay is beyond my expectation in a good way. First time going to Tokyo, this hotel is truly showing the eastern warmness and hospitality. From the welcoming English speaking reception, complimentary breakfast, and the overall experience staying there. The location of the hotel is very good, metro train is accessible from the basement of the hotel (it's not JR though so you'll need to pay additionally to get you to JR lines, i.e Tokyo Station. For family with children or elderly I would suggest to take Taxi from Hotel to Tokyo Station, it will cost around 1000 Yen but worth the time and effort - stair access unfortunately not stroller friendly) - access to Disneyland from this station is very easy, around the hotel you can go in walking distance area of Ginza for shopping or meals. I firstly thought the whole service and hospitality are the standard of Hotel in Japan until I went to other two hotels with the same rating and star on two other cities which totally different. This will definitely my Go To Hotel again if my family and I are back to Tokyo.

Awesome location, but weird policies”
My stay at the Mercure Ginza was, overall, a good one. It's a 5-minute walk to the Ginza shopping street, beside a McDonald's and several convenience stores, and the hotel is even a pick-up point for the Grey Line tour of Mt Fuji and Hakone. All in all, I found the rooms very comfortable, and their staff satisfactorily knowledgeable. Internet was free and available in the room, but only the lobby had WiFI access. You have to have a LAN cable for online work in the room. What I didn't understand, though, was their policy on the number of occupants. I mistakenly indicated that one person would stay in each room, but requested for twin beds. They gave in to my request, but upon seeing that two people were going to use the room, they charged us an additional Y2,000 for each room. Seeing as that the room rate didn't include breakfast, and that the room had two beds to begin with, I didn't get the point of the extra charge.

Mercure Ginza”
I really enjoyed my stay in Mercure Ginza of it's convenient location which only few minutes walk from the shopping center. It's also very near to the train station so I can ride to almost everywhere. Food also easy to find. With the reasonable price, Hotel Mercure Ginza is best. And although I travel by myself, but I fell secure as they have female section in their room choices with double safety doors. Awaiting to come back again.

Cozy Hotel in Ginza”
I usually stay in Shinjuku area and it was my first time to stay in Ginza. Mercure Hotel Ginza is s small hotel with small rooms. But it is normal in Tokyo, especially in busy areas. When I booked the hotel via Agoda, the price was offered reasonably good because it included a breakfast. However the hotel front desk checked few times and told me not. After double checked, the poker face woman told me that it was included. After checked in my room, Agoda sent me a mail and told me that breakfast should not be included normally but they might make mistake. The most impressive part is that Agoda beared the costs for 5 days breakfast. Of course, the food there was very nice. Will stay there again if I go to Ginza next time.

What an improvement in my stay 12 months ago”
I always stay when I can at the Mercure especially in Japan and 12 months ago had the most appalling stay at the Tokyo Mercure vowing never to return. This hotel has really lifted its act! It is amazing value for money in the centre of Tokyo, so location is brilliant, close to shopping and restaurants. Metro station is only a short walk away. Unlike last year, the staff were polite and attentive which I could not have said about them last year. Well done Tokyo Mercure for listening to clients comments.

the wonderful ginza”
If you want to go out to clubs, stay out where there are a lot of people walking out at night, go see a lot of people who want to party.. unfortunately mercure isn't the right hotel. The location of the hotel was nice but we had to take the subway for at least 25 mins to get to where we wanted to go. Ginza is a very low key and elegant district. we really enjoyed the friendliness of the staffs and their helpfulness to give us easy directions. I enjoyed my stay at the Mercure very much. Even though i have mentioned the bad location, i would stay again at mercure.

Excellent & Comfortable Hotel to Stay In”
We stayed 2 nights with our family & main intention to visit Tokyo Disneyland. We took the Metro Train which was directly beneath our hotel & have no problem running around which is very convenient for us. The rooms is quite spacious, comfortable & clean & strongly recommend to stay in Mercure Ginza.

Great hotel”
The hotel is ideally located close to main ginza street and Tokyo station. It is under 1500 JPY with taxi from the Tokyo station. Easy access to the Tokyo metro. The rooms are very comfortable (I stayed in a twin room, but since I stayed there for 4 non consecutive days, I stayed in 3 different rooms. They are all comfortable). The employees are very kind and they speak very good English, which I found to be rarity in hotels in Japan. I would stay in this hotel again when I go to Tokyo.

Great location, great amenities ”
It was indeed an enjoyable stay in Mercure Ginza. It is located in the middle of Ginza district, you can access the Ginza metro station directly via the basement level, hence in winter you need not be exposed to the cold. Although a little small (as compared to room size in other countries) the room has all the facilities/ amenities you will need, the bed is comfortable, the cleaning service is great, and the staff is friendly and proficient in english. The only downside is that wi-fi is only available on the lobby level, but not in the rooms. It was indeed an enjoyable stay.
