Good if you have a morning departure from Haneda Airport”

We stayed at the Sotetsu Grand Fresa Shinagawa Seaside as we had a morning flight out of Haneda the next morning. Having an AEON downstairs was really helpful for affordable meals and last minute purchases. It's a slight inconvenience that the Rinkai Line that runs to the Shinagawa Seaside Station does not accept SUICA cards, but the Airport Limousine to Haneda by the Keikyu bus company is really convenient.

Thank you very much for using our hotel. Thank you for evaluating us a lot. We will continue to promote better service in the future. You can also use Suica card at Rinkai line. If you cannot use it at Rinkai line, Please ask station staff. We sincerely look forward to your next visit. Front Clerk Takeuchi

The perfect hotel”

Great location, right above Shinagawa Seaside Station, reasonable prices, great services and amendities, and a new look
Rooms are a bit small

This hotel is the perfect combination of any hotel. It has a great transportation system that can get you into downtown Tokyo anywhere less than 20 minutes. Rooms are very clean and new-looking, giving the most seasoned traveller a place where they can call "temporary home". If I get a chance to come back to Tokyo, I would definitely return to rest at Hotel Sunroute Shinagawa Seaside.

Nice hotel ”

Our room was spacious with a nice view. Direct access to Shinagawa seaside station but it still took us more than 5 mins to get to the station (lift, many escalators, a bit of walk etc). It was very handy to have AEON shopping centre in the same premise as we managed to do all the shopping before getting to the airport. Access to the airport can be great if we could use the bus but the bus stops here only every hour or so. We took a train and monorail to get to the airport (c.30mins) - transfer isnt so easy as you will need to exit the station and walk on the ground level for 5 mins.

Very pleasant hotel”

This hotel is nice and new. It is right above the Shinagawa Seaside Station, hence it is very convenient. Love the tranquility of the hotel, and it has WIFI at the lobby.
Perhaps the disadvantage is that you need to pay 260 yen extra X round trip everyday if you want to go to the city center along JR Yamanote Line. Other than that, it was perfect.

You get your money's worth here!”

You get excellent views of the Tokyo harbor from the reception area. From my room which was not facing the harbor, I had a wide view and could see very far away. Receptionists were very courteous and helpful. There are restaurants at ground level giving options from fast food to more elegant cuisines. Within two minutes walk, there is even a supermarket with a food court in it! Very easy to replunish daily supplies or even pack up some fruits and bakery stuff for a day trip!
The location of the hotel is a bit away from the attractions north, east, and west of downtown Tokyo.

We were happily surprised to see a very nice and clean room with a two-star hotel! The bath room, although tiny from an American point of view, was scrupulously clean and all of the amenities nicely arranged. The view from my room was excellent! We could see wide and far away! With two short train rides, we got on a cruise and spending two hours cruising around the Tokyo harbor, an unforgettable experience! There are parks nearby. I jogged one morning for 4-5 miles in a park along a cannel. The nearby restaurants allowed us tasted the down-to-earth Japanese food at affordable prices! Within two minute walk, there is even a huge supermarket selling just about everything you need for your normal and traveling lives at reasonable prices! A train station is right in the basement of the hotel which allows easy access to the complex Tokyo train and subway systems. It does take a bit longer to get to places than if you stay at downtown hotel. However, if you want to save some money, this hotel could be your base for your Tokyo excursion!

Enjoyable stay”

It's true that transportation along Rinkai line is more expensive. However, we definitely got a great deal through agoda for this stay. Location is superb as it is just above Shinagawa Seaside station. There is direct limousine bus from Haneda airport right to the hotel. From Narita airport, we took Willer Express bus which costs only ¥1000 per ticket as we booked online to Osaki station and take the Rinkai train two stops away (¥271 if use top up card). From bus stop to train station is just an overhead bridge distance away and lifts are available. We had no problem rolling our huge luggages and getting my kid to walk. There are fabulous restaurants just downstairs. The four storey Aeon offers great shopping too, especially the supermarket level. There is also a 100 yen store. The queen sea view room we booked is spacious. The only setback is, we are not given the sea view room despite our long stay.

Convenient and affordable ”

Pros: not a busy part of Tokyo and is right beside the Rinkai Line for easy travel virtually anywhere in Tokyo especially Odaiba, Shinagawa and Yokohama. There's also a relatively new mall beside it so you should have all your basic needs. Cons: staff is not fluent in English so you might have problems communicating. No luggage assistance service as well. Side note: they misposted the room I took as part of a family of 4 filter. They also misposted the size of their bed as king size but told us on site they never had such a bed. We managed.

Nice hotel with good service”

Friendly Staff, in room computer with high speed internet, and good location

The hotel had a decent location, with a courtyard just outside the hotel featuring various restaurants and an ATM that catered to cards issued in other countries. the shinagawa seaside station is also just outside the courtyard, and makes stops at many convenient stations which have connections to almost any train or subway in the City, Via the Rinkai subway line. Staff was friendly, and rooms were cleaned daily and were very well kept. The only downsides were that the hotel lobby is on the 16th floor, and you need to change elevators at the 16th floor to go to your room, and the rooms were small with stiff beds. Not a great place if you enjoy a large space with soft, comfy beds, but overall a very good stay.

Nice hotel, location is a bit odd”

Room condition, AEON(supermarket),

It was a golden week, but hotel area is very quiet, and provided a relaxed nature. AEON(big market) is just a walk away, so you can easily get groceries whenever you want. I booked this hotel only because it located in sinagawa station. but it is located in sinagawa seaside station, which is a private line of tokyo metro. it will cost you more than 700 yen for return and it is not linked directly to any main station. One tip is, you can take free shuttle bus of AEON(it goes to sinagawa station-ish, about 5 mins walk), if you have a purchased reciept. Airpot access is much better as limousine bus is departing/arriving at the hotel.

Relaxing and Amazing”

The staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed in the Relax Double Room Non-Smoking the size was like regular size american hotel/ motel room. I did my research before booking the room because I know from experience that Japanese hotel room can be size of tuna can, very small. So having the relax double gave me breathing room and area to walk around get to my suitcase. The train station is not far from the hotel either, if you go from seaside station it really like right next to the hotel but it you go to the other one it not even a 10 min walk. Overall I would book this hotel again on my next vacation trip to japan.

Hotel is just directly above the Shinagawa-Seaside Station which makes travelling very convenient. The hotel is just a short 10-15 minutes ride away from Odaiba. Only thing is the room aircon tend to make some weird purging noises at night.

convenient and accessible”

accessible, clean, and friendly staff
unfortunately the hotel is fully booked on non-smoking rooms, so we have to take the smoking room.

the hotel is clean and nice. very accessible due to the nearby train station, restaurant, convenience shop, and grocery. a short taxi ride from shinagawa station where you can ride the narita express train and shinkansen. and a good spot for those planning to see odaiba and tokyo disney parks. they also kept our luggage bag for 5 days that we are outside tokyo, travelling to osaka and hiroshima.

Very friendly and convenient”

Location, Cleanliness, Comfortable

Located just above the Shinagawa railway station, we found the hotel easily, especially after arriving in Japan at Haneda Airport, late at night. Arriving late was no problem for anyone. The room was comfortable, fresh and practical We'd stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting this location, which we chose primarily as we were arriving late and travelling onward the next day.

Good for visiting Tokyo Big Sight Convention.”

Train station under the hotel. Lots of cafe, supermarket downstairs.

i am attending a fair at tokyo big sight convention center. the hotel is only 3 stop away via train (rinkai line) or about 10 minutes travelling time. the hotel is a basic business hotel. the room size is small, but really clean and comfortable. but, no wifi in the room. they have free wifi at the lobby. i think they have ethernet cable for the room - i did not try that one. the reception counter is friendly and helpful. they speak reasonably good english. the good thing is that you can find lots of cafe and restaurant downstairs. there is also aoen supermarket, where you can buy pretty much anything that might need or forget to bring during your stay. from haneda airport, its really quick by train. take the monorail, and change to rinkai line at tennuzo-isle. on the other hand, if you want to go to tokyo central area, it will take about 40 minutes by train. you have to change at least 2 times, and the cost can add up quickly. as an alternatives, there are few hotel in the tokyo big sight ground. its walking distance to the fair. few friends stay at those hotel, but not much choice in cafe or convenient store. you save on train fares
