Superb urban oasis at special offers”
My parents and I stayed at Ryumeikan for two nights. I wished we could extend the staying as the hotel was incredibly nice and suit our trip well. After a long trip from northern Japan, we took a Friendly Shuttle from Haneda AP which should take only forty minutes unless the heavy trafic during the rush hour. It is exactly Tokyo, anyway! We are Bangkokian so, in this situation, it was well understood and acceptable. At the check in counter, we were refreshed with a cool towel each while waiting for the verification process. We needed no bell men to help us with the security key card using with the elevator and the room door which we found it convenient for us. Before the elevator door was completely closed, we were impressed with the Graceful Japanese bowing, the way they greet and pay respects to guests. From the hotel we just crossed the street to Tokyo Station which took only 5 minutes. Before travelling arounnd the Yamanote Line, we got some snacks and drinks from the neighbouring convenient store. How quick and easy! From the hotel, we simply took a train to the Disney Land within 15 minutes. Everyday during the stay, we got a bottle of drinking water each that we could keep in the fridge inside the room. Yet, the hotel was caring enough to provide ice vending machine for free of charge on the tenth floor. An ice bucket together with a tea kettle are very obviously able to reflect the hotel's warm thoughts around all types of custermers, my group, foreample, enjoyed the hot provided instant set of various tea and also refreshed by the cool soft drinks with ice. On the check out, we needed to do the last minutes shopping so we left the luggages, five of them, at the reception office which were very kind to also wrapped our honey melon with a bubble sheet before keeping it in the fridge for us. I cant explain more impression we ve got during the stay at Ryumeikan but to promise that, for our next trip to Tokyo, Ryumeikan will always be one of our urban Oasi

Enjoyed my stay!”
I chose to stay at this hotel because I was coming back from Kyoto and don't want to drag my big luggage from Shinkansen to other JR station so I decided to stay near JR Tokyo Station. Hotel Ryumeikan is located across the street of JR Tokyo Station (north exit) where department store Daimaru is. [BTW, you can buy alot of gifts from Daimaru & no need to carry a long way back to hotel.] Very convenient to take JR trains, Narita Express, Shinkansen (to/from Kyoto) or airport bus (right next to the hotel). Hotel staffs are very helpful & friendly! Room is kept clean & neat. Bathroom is equipped with nice Toto toilet, excellent shower & well thought amenity kit for both men & women! Oh, forgot to mention there is a Nespresso machine in the room! Lobby is located at 15/F & hotel lift is secured by room key. Remember to bring the key with you at all time. Laundry room is located at 2 floors only! There are convenience stores next to the hotel and around the corner. Also have a 24 hours noodle shop a block from the hotel. Also the underground shopping arcade at Tokyo Station have tons of shops and restaurants to choose from. Even though Tokyo Station is a bit far from Shinjuku or Shibuya, you can still find many things to do here at Tokyo station. I will definitely stay at this hotel if I'm going on the same route to Tokyo & Kyoto!

Good hotel!”
Prices at the Ryumeikan vary greatly depending on availability, season and room size. But that's true everywhere in Tokyo. The last time we stayed there we had a twin room and that was lovely - it was spacious and had a Nespresso machine - and it was great. This time I accidentally reserved a standard double which was very small. But since my accommodations in Tokyo had literally fallen through 15 minutes before arriving, I was thankful that there was a room available. Particularly since the Ryumeikan is very often completely booked. The first room they gave us was facing a wall - so on top of being small it was dismal. We asked to be moved and ended up in a lovely, still very small room, facing out toward Tokyo Station which was extremely bright and cheerful. However, I do mean really small. Like impossible to open a large suitcase. And there wasn't even a water boiler for tea or coffee. However, service is always excellent there, the location is fantastic. And if you don't feel like going out to eat, Daimaru is right across the street in the station, so you can get anything from Paul Bocuse to sushi to wagyu steak to bring back to your room. And if you're traveling by train anywhere else in Japan, you have the shinkansen across the street, the airport buses are across the street, and there are about 6 metro lines within a block of the hotel for Tokyo transportation. And of course, since you are in the dead center of the city, you can walk a great many beautiful places.

Fantastic”
hotel ryumeikan tokyo is located right in the heart of tokyo (just beside tokyo station). this is not only fantastic for business travelers, it is also convenient for leisure guests as tokyo is accessible to all parts of tokyo including akihabara (towards the north) and shinjuku (towards the west). as tokyo station is one of the main train terminals, one can get to practically anywhere in tokyo with much ease. besides the train, my other mode of transport in tokyo was bicycle. this hotel being located in tokyo provided me with much convenience to practically anywhere in tokyo. i cycled to shinjuku, akihabara, asakusa etc. all journeys are within an hour. in addition to its convenient location, the hotel provides complimentary parking service for your bicycles which then allows you to sleep in peace without the worries of your bicycle being stolen. to top it all up, this hotel is adjacent to a huge daimaru which is a great place for one to stock up all the gifts, fruits etc to be brought back to one's home country. with all the above said, who will not want to stay in this hotel?

Our favorite hotel during our 9-day stay in Japan”
Our stay at Hotel Ryumeikan was top of the line. The hotel room was small but nothing out of the ordinary in comparison with staying in other big cities like New York City or London. The size of the room was fine for my boyfriend and I, a perfect haven for sleeping each night in the comfortable bed after a long day of sightseeing, and the Japanese "washlet" toilet was the fanciest toilet we encountered in all of the 5 cities we visited in Japan! The shower was phenomenal and state of the art. Everything was spotless and clean, and the staff was very kind and accommodating. A Japanese friend called us through the front desk a few times and the reception was very nice about getting us her messages or transferring the calls to our room. The reception lobby is on the 15th floor, along with the hotel restaurant(which we didn't try), and the hotel has the most amazing smell when you walk in (it reminded me of how the hotels in Vegas have their specific scents that I love!). The closest subway station is Nihombashi station just adjust around the corner from the hotel, literally a minute or 2 minute walk. Or Tokyo station is a 5 minute walk down the street in the other direction. Tokyo Station is a great way to access any part of the city and we loved being so close to it. There are tons of restaurants in Tokyo Station as well - including Tokyo Ramen Street which was our personal favorite. Daimaru department store is also connected to Tokyo Station on the walk to the hotel and was a go to spot for us to grab breakfast.

Great hotel in a great location”
Stayed at the Ryumeikan coming into Tokyo and again at the end of our holiday leaving Tokyo. First time I've been to this property and I really liked it. It's extremely handy to Tokyo central railway station so catching trains to the airport or Shinkansens to other prefectures is a breeze. The hotel itself occupies the top half of a building with the lower part dedicated to offices. Reception is on the top floor (15th I think) with guest rooms located from floors 8 and up. The room floors are all lift access restricted with the room key cards permitting access. This made the property feel more like a secure long-term apartment than a hotel as once you'd gotten your key you didn't need to see reception again until checkout. The triple room was good, spacious by Japanese standards, clean and well appointed. We also stayed in the Japanese styled junior suite on our return to Tokyo which was very nice and well worth the extra money if you're considering it. Two different living areas, western and Japanese, a lovely bathroom with rain shower and separate bath, dual lcd televisions with free in-house movies and complimentary drinks in the mini bar. Would definitely stay in this room type again! On the whole, I can't fault the Ryumeikan. An excellent establishment right in the heart of Tokyo. Note: I can't comment on the dining or hotel facilities as I didn't use any of them. I've given the 4s on the scale as I'm sure they would have been fine.

Adjacent to Tokyo JR and Nihonbashi Metro Stations”
so closed to all forms of public transportation in tokyo. not the biggest room you may find compared to modern western style hotels but there is plenty of room for 2 large luggages. bathroom size big with western style bath tub and shower head. good sound barrier. very clean. modern hotel. are there lower price hotels in tokyo? yes. will they have the same convenience, amenities, or room quality as hotel ryumeikan tokyo? probably not. staff was so awesome. printed maps and wrote down directions on various places we want to go. arrived @ hotel early and had a late flight out of tokyo so hotel allowed us to leave baggage with no extra charge. safe. can't say enough about the location and the hotel's helpful staff members. tokyo jr station also has daimaru dept store attached, which has a large food court and large of shopping options. this hotel is great choice for business, sightseeing. food/dining got a score of 3 only because i did not try hotel's restaurant.

Suprising find in the middle of Tokyo”
My family was looking for an affordable hotel to stay in near Tokyo Station to catch a early morning train to Narita Airport. Due to weather delays and other circumstances, we only had time to spend 5 hours at Hotel Ryumeikan. When you enter the lobby on the top floor of the building, you can tell it is a well managed hotel with a lot of extras. The staff were very helpful with check in (at 1am in the morning)and we were given our keys quickly. The room we booked was larger than I expected (my son thought we were staying in the infamous Tokyo capsule hotels). The large bed, and large bathroom was a surprise for downtown Tokyo. There was ample room to put your luggage without tripping over yourself. The bathroom was very high tech. I have used Washlets before, but the ones in this hotel are state of the art. Push a button and the toilet seat opens and closes. Push another button and the bowl flushes, etc. , etc. My son made me take a video of the Washlet that I may post on Youtube. The shower had spray heads that cleaned every part of your body. The toiletry ameneties were some of the best I have seen in any hotel, five star and better. The work area was spacious with free WiFi throughout the hotel. There was even a Nespresso coffee maker in the room instead of the cheap drip type coffee maker or worse, the instant coffee packets. There was even bottled water when everyone knows that Japanese tap water is some of the freshest and sweetest water around. Other cool features was a foot massage contraption, a sleep ambience system (soothing music, feet massage and dimming lights) for going to sleep and waking up. Talk about a great alarm clock. I'm sure there are other fantastic things about this hotel that I have missed, but with only 5 hours there, from what I can see, this hotel is superb. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Tokyo.

A most enjoyable 7 day at Tokyo Ryumeikan hotel ”
We had a lovely time staying 7 days in Tokyo Ryumeikan hotel. It is easy to find as the location is fantastic, near all subways and train stations ( even when you are lost you can easily locate the hotel with ease)! Hotel gives clean bed-sheets and towels daily. Toilet bowls had functioning self- washing and cleaning facilities with good amount of warm water in winter through a temperature control. It is a new hotel where things are electronically arranged i.e. includes room-making request! Had the most lovely time staying in Tokyo because of Ryumeikan hotel and we had a very good impression of Tokyo city despite the crowded subway stations with millions of people around! The hotel is located in the busiest part of Tokyo and yet it gives you the most peaceful feeling when you needed a good respite after a whole day out ! We even had a nice morning walk all the way to Ueno as the hotel is superbly located near all amenities!

Excellent Location!”
I was very impressed with this hotel. I will definitely stay here again. The price is slightly on the high end but I would be willing to pay for it considering is excellent location near the Tokyo Train Station. I didn't have to walk very far with my luggage. The Tokyo Station is very important to have access to so this hotel is well worth it. The lobby has 1 computer with internet access for roughly $1.00 per 15 minutes. The rooms are equipped with ethernet connections for internet access for laptops as well. This hotel is also great because it's not too crowded to add to any inconvenience. However, when booking a room online, I would hope to find the room I'm looking for as I've noticed that the website will only display a certain room available on the dates that you choose. Then a few days later a different room was being displayed. I couldn't figure out what to click on to see more room type options so I just chose what was being displayed. Fortunately, it was exactly the room that I needed. Hopefully when I book again I will be able to see all the room types that are available on the dates that I will stay there. Overall, I highly recommend this room to new visitors of Tokyo. I will choose Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo again in a heartbeat!

Great hotel, highly recommend it!”
We loved staying at Hotel Ryumeikan. Right from the pleasantly scented entrance our whole experience was wonderful. We got a Forus Semi-Double C Create room. We booked it through Agoda because they allowed us to choose which semi-double room size to reserve. Do be aware that Agoda requires you to pay for your entire stay at the time you make your reservation. The single semi-double rooms are A, B, or C, with C being the largest. We could have reserved the room through Hotel Ryumeikan's website but I was worried about reserving a room without using a credit card, which apparently is common in Asia. Some other hotel reservation websites wouldn’t allow us to choose room size A, B, or C for the Hotel Ryumeikan. The Forus single semi-double C was plenty big for two people and space to spread out luggage. The room was 26.9 square meters and non-smoking. The bed was 140 cm x 205 cm which was slightly smaller than an American queen size bed but it was fine for us. The bed was very firm, just be aware. The pillows had a combination of buckwheat hulls and a soft filling which are popular in Asia. They are nice for neck support and we found them to be comfortable. They also have regular pillows. The bed has automatically dimming/brightening lights, music, and vibrations at the foot of the bed to help you fall asleep and wake up, which was very nice. I recommend printing directions to the hotel - after a long flight, you don't want to be searching for the hotel while carrying luggage. From Tokyo Station, take the Yaesu North exit (follow the signs for Yaesu Central), exit by Daimaru department store, then cross the street, go 2.5 blocks, and the hotel will be on the right. Print a street view if desired. The hotel was quick to respond to emails before our trip, and they were very helpful. They put a lot of nice personal touches into the hotel and room. We highly recommend it!

A hidden gem in the heart of Tokyo at a good price”
Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo was a pleasant surprise for me, and I strongly recommend it. The hotel has a historical name, but a recent renovation has transformed itself to also fit the needs of modern business travelers. It is conveniently situated 5 min away from Tokyo main station. The room was very comfortable, clean and offers all the amenities you may need, including free wireless internet, free water, good coffee machine and toiletries. I stayed in its new Forus Room, which neatly overcame the downside of rooms with no view, with a sizable bed designed for comfort sleep. The bathroom was large (a big plus for tall people) and the shower was superb with massage function! Beside the view, everything you ask for in this price range.

Comfortable Stay at Tokyo”
Me and my wife went to Tokyo for our Spring Vacation, and Hotel Ryumeikan was a good choice for our accommodation. Being near to Tokyo station, you can easily go to other tourist attractions. The hotel itself is near to the Imperial Gardens. Food is not a problem. There are a lot of choices at the basement of Tokyo station. And if ever you need something, there is a convenience store nearby. There is an Izakaya 2-3 block away (towards the convenience store) which offers nice food and drinks. The hotel is just a few stations away from Ginza (shopping district, film Cameras!) and Ueno (Ueno Park, Ameoyoko). I highly recommend this hotel. *if you are using a film camera, there is a shop at the basement of Tokyo station where you can have your films developed - Kitamura Camera) And they also have some nice camera on sale (film and digital)

Modern Hotel next to Tokyo Station”
Hotel Ryumeikan is a modern hotel next to Tokyo Station. It was a perfect base for exploring Tokyo. From Narita Airport, we took the Narita express which took less than an hour to reach Tokyo Station, plus, about a five minute walk to the hotel. The rooms were very clean, with wonderful furnishing. We had a double room, which was a nice size. Bathrooms were high tech, and filled with amenities from shampoo to a hair brush. We also had a refridgerator in the room, where we were able to store food from the 24 hour convenience store, which was just around the corner. Plus, we were on the 14th floor, and we had a fantastic view of the city. We would highly recommend this hotel, and would consider this hotel when we return to Tokyo the next time.

Comfortable room for excellent value”
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Ryumeikan. The entire hotel felt like it was newly built, with its modern design (but not *too* modern) and perks like a sound system built into the bed frame and more controls for the toilet than usual (even for Japan). The FORUS A room that my husband and I shared was on the spacious side for a Japanese hotel. The front desk staff were helpful and courteous. Most spoke English, though not everyone was fully fluent, so I fell back on my so-so Japanese once or twice. It was a nice surprise to find that they offer cell phones and bicycles for rent. As for Hanagoyomi, the hotel restaurant, the wagyu was amazing, so rich and tender, but at the same time, there are so many great places to eat in Tokyo that I would've been okay skipping it. Amenities like free wired and wireless internet, instant espresso machine, and a variety of skin creams, toothpaste and toothbrush, etc. helped me feel pampered without totally breaking the bank. There is not much for tourists in the immediate area, but the location has great access to Tokyo Station and Nihonbashi Station, as long as you don't mind some walking.

A good choice”
I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo. It is located very close to Tokyo Rail Station and the Nihonbashi subway station is around the corner so access to public transport was easy. The high-speed internet was very good. The room was compact but very well appointed and comfortable. As with most hotel rooms in Japan, it was spotless as well. I also liked having a mini fridge in the room since I like to buy food and drinks at one of the many convenience stores located all over Tokyo. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would consider staying there again.

Excellent Location at Reasonable Price”
My Wife, 6yo son and I stayed here for one night, but would have happily stayed here much longer. This hotel is ideally located for the Keiso Airport Shuttle service and also the Airport Limousine service with the former picking up right outside the hotel. Prices in central Tokyo are generally very high and this whilst still being relatively expensive ticked all the right boxes with regards to ease of access, location, cleanliness and overall experience. We had an overnight stop over in Tokyo between flights and wanted to see some sights. We took the Airport Limousine bus service from Haneda which dropped off across the road. The hotel was easy to find and checking into the hotel was very straight forward with the reception staff very polite, helpful and with very good English. The room itself was well presented and very clean, with tea and coffee making facilities (including nespresso machine). Beds were extremely comfortable and we all had a very good sleep. With the Tokyo Central station being in such close proximity this allowed us access to the sights of Tokyo and the best use of the short time we had in Tokyo. On departure check out was straight forward and catching the bus to airport outside hotel (as recommended by hotel) worked out perfectly with the bus taking 60 minutes to Narita. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your looking to stay in central Tokyo and see some sights between flights or even if your stay is slightly longer.

Excellent location and facilities ”
Hotel Ryumeikan is situated a short walk from Tokyo station making it very convenient for travel within Tokyo and Japan. Two airline transfer buses stop close to the hotel, one right outside the door and one across the road so airporttransfers are seamless. Our first stay was in a forum room with a view of a brick wall due to availability and as we were out most of the time the view wasn’t an issue, and the extra facilities including a bed that gently vibrated and soothing music to lull you to sleep more than makes up for the potential of claustrophobia. These rooms are quite compact but the bathroom has a fabulous shower and the amenities are some of the best and most varied provide at many 5 star hotels. Our second was in a much more spacious double room this time with a city view, I would choose these rooms if available for our next stay. We didnt eat at the hotel as there are several options close by and a 24 hour convenience store right outside the door. Highly recommended

Excellent hotel with excellent service”
We chose Hotel Ryumeikan due to its favorable reviews on various websites. We are absolutely delighted that we have stayed there - the staff are very very helpful and friendly and the room is clean and comfortable, albeit a little small. Access to public transport is very convenient, its only 2 minutes walk away from Tokyo station - which is one of the major train stations in Tokyo (excellent for exploring Tokyo and also for transfer via Shinkansen to other major cities e.g. Kyoto) Overall we are very satisfied and would definitely look to stay here again for our next trip.

Great little hotel close to Tokyo Station.”
We choose this hotel based on feedback from friends, location and overall value for money. If you have been to Tokyo your know that most of the time your be out and about exploring the many different things the city has to offer hence being next to a central station is key to making the trip a success. Hotel Ryumeikan is perfect for location and actually also central to many good bars/restaurants. Room is cozy and pretty small however inline with Tokyo standards. Hotels such as the Shangri-la/Mandarin are all within walking distance but will cost you 4 times the amount for the luxury of a pool/gym which unless your on a business trip unlikely to use on a Tokyo trip ( your be walking a lot any way ) I would suggest this hotel to travelers who will be out and about exploring and not spending to much time sat round the hotel. Staff were also very helpful on the front desk when we needed directions/Umbrella etc
