Between Sapporo Station and Susukino”

Pro: Staff and breakfast are excellent. We stayed for 3 days and tried all 3 different breakfast places. The staff is very helpful. We forgot our chocolate in the fridge during checkout and emailed them to put it in the fridge till we back check in again on the next day. They kept in room temp for 6 hrs before putting in the firdge and offered to replace the chocolate with the new one. They insisted though we kept saying its okay since its our fault and the chocolate is fine. Excellent service, with the luggage storage and everything. Book early to get the best price. We didnt so the price we paid is quite high for the area. Location wise is 10 mins walk to sapporo station so if u need to go back and forth to other city, we recommend to stay closer to the station. But on the other hand its also quite in between sapporo and odori station. So it is walkable to the shopping area. But we prefer to stay close to sapporo station since its quite tiring to walk with luggage. Thank u sapporo grand hotel! Cons: Location though walkable but not really suitable for older people. Though 5 stars, room is a bit dated though clean and comfy so for the price we paid, i think u can get better deal elsewhere. We stayed in main building (double) and annex (twin).

One of Sapporo Hotel You Will Have To Stay”

We stayed in Sapporo Grand Hotel for 2 nights, early January this year. We booked a Queen non smoking room. We tried to request smoking room and the receptionist agreed to give us. The room is small and average. Free Wifi. The price for the room is quite steep for a Grand hotel. Maybe it is because it was located at the top of a small shopping centre. There is a Starbucks cafe too below the hotel. The bed was comfort but the pillows were too soft for my taste. Room was very cleaned. Items in the room were all working fine. Toilet was clean and the size was average. The cool part is after you had your hot shower, the part where you see on the mirror does not fog out. The part stays clean for you to look yourself clearly even during hot shower. We opt out the breakfast since we had tours in the early morning. The hotel location is very convenient if you want to travel more on JR trains or tour coaches as it is only 5-8 mins walk. You able to walk to Susukino too for less than 13 mins. This is one of the hotel that if you took tour buses, they able to pick you up and drop you off directly from the hotel itself. You do not have to walk to the Bus Terminal. But it depends on what kind of tour thou. The hotel staff were very helpful and systematic. They helped to call and made reservation for a restaurant we planned to dine in. Overall, I would say this is one of the hotel that I would stay again if I were to visit Sapporo again in the future. Even the price is quite steep but the service is great!

A central location & historical hotel in Sapporo.”

The hotel is centrally located, thus you can walk to most destination in Sapporo. From the hotel room (depending on the room location), you can have a view at the historical Akarenga (Former Government Office) from your window. The hotel also houses Starbucks at the lobby, a dedicated smoking room on one of its floor and has an exclusive access to underground station, making it easier to commute with trains. The staffs are very friendly, explaining you features of the hotel and your room. They are also very informative & helpful too, as we needed to acquire information about bus to Sapporo New Chitose Airport. The bus actually stops at the bus stop at the hotel. Convenient! Overall it's a great stay! I will come back to Sapporo Grand Hotel next time.

Excellent Location & Great Breakfast”

We were on a 3 weeks holiday through Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Hakone, Tokyo & Hokkaido). This was the best hotel we stayed in. Location is excellent. We came from New Chitose Airport by direct train (no transfers required, which is important if you have kids with you) and got off at JR Sapporo Station. The hotel is connected to JR Sapporo Station via the underground mall. So in winter (we stayed there on 1 to 3 Dec 2017), you wouldn't be exposed to the cold from the airport all the way to the hotel. The hotel is about a 5 to 10 mins underground walk from the JR Station. One major draw of Sapporo is the winter illumination. That was 5 mins walk through the underground from the hotel. So again, excellent location! The major shopping and nightlift area of Susukino is also connected through the underground walkways. We booked a triple room with breakfast. The breakfast was amazing! Food was good and service was great! Just an example, they served 2 types of fresh milk. One was an organic fresh milk and another was a local Hokkaido fresh milk. Another example was that the pancakes and waffles station had whipped cream, cream cheese, maple syrup and 6 different types of honey to go with the pancakes and waffles. A first time ever I've experienced such detail at just one station. The soft boiled eggs station had a little rock placed there with a sign that said "stone for cracking egg". It was a little humorous but yet another little sign of attention to detail. We stayed 2 nights and I was looking forward to the next day's breakfast. There are just so many things I could say about this hotel that totally made it a very memorable stay. This is the hotel I would stay in over and over if I were in Sapporo again.

We stayed at the Sapporo Grand Hotel for 4 nights and found it to be a wonderful hotel! It was easily accessible via the JR Sapporo station and also the Odori subway station. Do remember to print out the instructions from the hotel website prior to your visit, it is clear and concise and we didn't get lost from the train station to the hotel. The location is superb and within walking distance to the lovely Odori Park (where winter illumination is ongoing right now), shopping areas, the TV tower and Susukino (food!). If it gets too cold for you above ground, the hotel is also connected to all areas underground! Just don't get overly distracted by all the shopping! It was a fantastic stay and we will certainly choose this hotel again!

Great hotel in a great location”

We booked Sapporo Grand Hotel via Agoda for 4 nights and we really enjoyed our stay there. It was a nice stay because of its location and the spacious room. We have booked the main building twin room and the space was just nice for our family of 4. Very accessible to main shopping and dining areas and I love the the fact that we could avoid the cold and snow via underground access. The staff at the door and counter was helpful and courteous and even a senior manager tried to help us about our enquiry to the Asahiyama zoo. However we were directed to a concierge staff who has problem communicating and to some extent, we felt weren't helpful enough. Upon check out, although I wasn't expecting help with the luggage to the airport bus stop, but sadly, no one came forward to check on us which is something rare especially when we know that Japan was quite well known for the great service. But I think for the very good rates I paid, I would not dwell too much and too long on it. Still thumbs up overall for our stay. Will opt to stay again if we return.

Good location, good service, reasonable price”

Spent some time looking for the hotel using the underground entrance. There are two "Number 8" exits on the underground street, and it is the one nearer to Odori park. Just remember, it is the exit which is more modern looking, and upscale in appearance, with a sign showing "Sapporo Grand Hotel". My booking rate did not include breakfast, but there is a Starbucks on ground floor (open at 7.30am), and a 7-eleven just outside the entrance with good selection of instant food. A famous Ramen shop (rated one of the top 10 in Japan) is just on the opposite street. It is 8-10 min walk to Sapporo JR station, which has several shopping centers, food courts, fast foods, restaurants connected to it. The service at the hotel is great, and I will definitely consider coming back again next time.

We stayed at the Sapporo Grand Hotel for 6 nights. The hotel is a 8-10 minute walk from the JR Sapporo station (easy access to and from the airport). The location is great - close by to restaurants, parks, museums, shopping. Family mart right next door. The twin room was spacious, clean with a good sized bathroom. The staff were very helpful, courteous and spoke English. A major plus is that the hotel links directly to the underground malls and stations. I'd stay here again and would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The Sapporo Grand Hotel is located a few blocks away from the Sapporo Station and near the Odori Station. It is conveniently located near Odori Park, the Tanuki Koji Shopping Arcade, Susukino, and Nijo Market. There is also a Don Quijote and Daiso within walking distance. Hotel staff was EXCELLENT! They treated us like king and queen from the time we checked in until the time we checked out! Bell hop will even take you and your luggage directly to your room! Will definitely stay here again!

Awesome hotel staff and hotel”

All the greetings and smiles every time you meet any of the accommodating staff, any concerns are acted at once, full complete amenities, clean and quiet rooms, cozy beds and the food in all outlets were perfect!!! But what is exceptional was I left my cellphone in ISHIYA cafe the night before the morning to catch my plane ... They personally went to the cafe when it opened and emailed me that they have it. When my plane landed 4 hours later in Manila ... My cellphone was also on its way to Manila!!! BRAVO AND CHEERS TO THE STAFF of Sapporo grand hotel! Will book again!

Comfortable and Good Value for Money”

The Sapporo Grand Hotel is centrally located in Sapporo. It is very close to the JR Station and there are many restaurants within walking distance. The staff are very friendly, attentive and professional. The room are very sizable by Japanese standard and while it is slightly expensive but it is a good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable hotel in the city central of Sapporo.

Very convenient”

The Sapporo Grand Hotel is very convenient, accessing the JR Sapporo station. 7 minutes on foot walking through underground or ground main business street. Inside the hotel, free WIFI can be found every where and can be used for every gear you have, very very convenient if you want your iphone, ipad and Mac book on line at the same time. The lobby bar is another place for you if you want to taste some Japanese cakes which are made using the Hokkaido milk and butter and cheese. Bon appetite.

Exceptional”

Sapporo Grand is located at the center of the underground passageway which runs from Sapporo station to Odori and Susukino. There are a few 24 hour places near the hotel - a gyudon place, a katsu place, a 7-eleven, a Lawson Station and there's a Starbucks at the lobby. It's also walking distance to the TV tower and the Sapporo clock tower. The breakfast buffet serves both traditional and western dishes and the staff are very friendly. The airport bus stops right outside of this hotel too. It's the first stop going to the airport too which makes it convenient because the bus can get really full.

Best Hotel in Sapparo”

The best!!! Very friendly staff. Helped me introduce my room. Saw to every need that I have or may have., Nice big Lawson convenience store nearby. Great food options nearby. If price is not a problem, always stay at the Sapporo Grand Hotel.. Nice starbucks too... and not forgetting it is sheltered basement walk to the main train station... no problems if rain or snow.

The Sapporo Grand Hotel is very conveniently located near the JR Sapporo Station and is a few minutes by walk. Also, being close to the station it is also very close to many shops and a variety of food. The breakfast spread is very impressive. The staff are very courteous and most of staff at the counter can speak English. The double room I booked was adequately sized. Recommended for tourists - as accessibility to public transport is convenient.

The location of this hotel is great, an underground exit no.8 is just in front of the hotel, this exit also come with a lift. You can reach the hotel from JR station directly through the undergrand walkway. And the old city hall is just 3mins walk distance from hotel. The hotel building is large in size, there is many restaurant inside. We stayed in Holly Twin room, which is really spacious, it allows you open up eight luggages together, which is very scare in Japan main city. The services is also great, I saw there is three house keeping staffs to make up my room when I back from shopping at afternoon. At the lobby, there is also at least five staffs available to help you with information and luggage, they are all good at English speaking. Even the cashier in carpark, the old guy can also listen to English, which is amazing. The hotel carpark is parked by the lift automatically. In the room, the amenities also impressed me very much. Apart from the normal supply including makeup cleaning oil and face washing cream, hair moisture lotion and nail colour remover wipe are also provided, which is the first time I experienced in hotel. A pajamas and some Japanese fiction are also provided. What the more important, the room price of this hotel is really competitive with above all mentioned selling points. Definitely will stay again if visit Sapporo.

Awesome time at Sapporo Grand”

We stayed at Sapporo Grand for two nights and we were very happy with everything there. The hotel is halfway between Sapporo station and Odori subway station which is great for going around the city. It's also got Lawson convenient store just across the street. The room was clean, quite spacious, and nicely decorated. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Although their english skills may not be the best, they were very enthusiastic to answer all our questions and requests. In sum, I would definitely stay here again next time I come to Sapporo.

Our "Go To" Hotel in Sapporo”

Sapporo Grand Hotel is our "go to" hotel in Sapporo. Right smack in the middle of Sapporo where you are served by either the Sapporo JR/metro line and the Odori metro line. Close proximity to almost all the places of interest and food in Sapporo. The hotel is also linked to the underground pedestrian passage which is ideal during the winter. Will stay here again when I go to Sapporo.

Stayed in the executive deluxe room for 1 night with a perfect garden view with a snowy view. The room is equipped with a bath jacuzzi and comes with Bvlgari bathing set. The room is perfectly clean, bed is very comfy and it comes with a coffee machine with coffee & tea capsules. The hotel is linked to the Odori underground which leads to both Odori Park and Sapporo Station. This 1 night stay in Sapporo Grand is a memorable one for us. The staff are also very friendly. Overall a very good stay for us and will definitely return.

I love my stay with Sapporo Grand Hotel! Love it's location as it has easy access to the underground link to various shopping centres, supermarkets, town, JR Station and other subways. It has a Starbucks café on the ground floor of the building and it feels great to sip some coffee during late evening after dinner. 2 thumbs up for the hotel staffs as they are very friendly and attentive.
