Great hotel at a reasonably low price”

The location of Hotel Resol is really good: 2 min walk from Hakodate station, and bus stop is right outside the hotel. We thought the hotel is new judging from the photos, but it turned out to be a bit outdated. The lobby was comfortable to hang out with free coffee and tea. The room was small but had everything needed. The bathroom was also small but clean and contain all the toiletries. We decided to have the breakfast at the hotel after our arrival and it was above average. Great choices of western breakfast and Japanese style hot breakfast with a chef making grilled meat and seafood on site, although don't expect the quality to be like a 5-star hotel. There are many other choices of food around the area as well within 10 minutes of walk. Overall, we're very satisfied with the stay, especially with it's low price.

Comfortable stay”

Staff were friendly and even when to check out the price for the laundry services when we asked for directions. Room was good and they do have a lounge for hotel guests to self help on different types of tea and coffee while enjoying the tourist hot spots video. Location is around 5 to 8 mins walk to Hakodate morning Market and JR Line train station. Thank you for the pleasant stay with hotel Resol!

Friendly staffs& free coffee”

Location is excellent. Close to stations and fish market, restaurants. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. Room is old but very clean. I like coffee table& free coffee, tea. I like that warm hotel. Highly recommend it! Thanks hotel Resol Hakodate.

Highly Recommended ”

A cosy and very affordable hotel that is conveniently located within walking distance to JR Hakodate, Tram station and morning market. We opted out of the room cleaning service on Day 2 of our stay, however, despite us opting out for the room cleaning service, we return back to our room that night with a bag hanging in front of our door and what surprised us was that there were clean towel, amenities (such as new toothbrush, comb, shaver, bath salt, etc) and bottled mineral water in the bag for us. We were surprised and touched by the kind gesture the hotel provided to their guest. In conclusion, we highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again if we are back to Hakodate.

Great Location”

The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the JR station, and there is a also streetcar station nearby. The morning market and redbrick warehouses are all within walkable distance, making this hotel ideal for sightseeing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only bad thing is that the area has less restaurants and shops than other areas in Hakodate. But this shouldn’t be a problem if you are driving or if you have bought the one/two day bus/streetcar ticket. The location is perfect if you need to take JR or go to the airport (the bus stop of the airport limousine is just next to the JR station). Will definitely consider this hotel again when visiting Hakodate in future.

Good location”

Location was good as it was walking distance from the Hakodate Morning Market and there was a Lucky Pierrot within walking distance. Best to check to check the directions to their lift car park beforehand as you need to drive round the back to get there. We dropped off our luggage, drove out again and got back to the hotel past 10pm where the car park attendant had left. The hotel staff was very kind to help activate the car park lift for us to park. Close drive to Mt Hakodate Ropeway, Red Brick Warehouse and Hakodate Meijikan. Overall a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Didnt expect much but....”

Didnt expect much but it turn out quite good. Okay the room is bit dated but we were given a queen size bed. The toiletries given was pretty good too. The big plus is that its located very near to the Hakodate Station, Streetcar and the Bus Terminal. And Hakodate Morning Market is nearby as well. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

I recommend this hotel”

The hotel was 5 mins walk from the Hakodate train station. Less than 5 mins walk from the Morning Fish Market. A great choice especially when you can reach the market easily. Breakfast spread was exceptionally good. For the price we paid, it was a steal. Tram was located almost right in front of the hotel so getting around was not an issue.

Great Hotel right in front of station”

The location is excellent. Right in front of the hotel is the tram station. Just 5 mins to JR station and Bus Terminal (we use the bus to airport only 30 mins!) and 5 mins walk to Hakodate Morning Market. We even walk back home from Jujigai tram after spend the night in Hakodate ropeway, it takes around 15-20 mins walk to hotel. What they should improve I think their hospitality service, with this quality I think it's better if they put our luggage in our room when it's check in time. In fact we are the one who bring our luggage up. But this just small insight to upscale the hotel quality, Hope they consider this suggestion.

Nice hotel at Hakodate!”

We book a twin-bedroom in this hotel. The room is normal size in Japan. The only thing is my room window didn't get any view. The location is really nice. 2mins walk to the Morning Market. 5mins walk to the Hakodate JR station. During the night time, hotel will provide free tea and coffee. Every night will stay at the Lobby get free drinks. Staff all can speak some English. Their service is good!! Will come and stay again!!

Excellent location ”

Located within 4 minutes walk from JR Hakodate, the hotel offers a lot of convenience to travelers. I booked two twin rooms. One room is more spacious than the other. I wish there is more consistency in this area. Like many three-star hotels, the staff are not exactly very proficient in speaking English. More training is required.

Value for money”

Located just few metres away from Hakodate Station & Hakodate morning market. The streetcar station is just in front of the hotel for easier assess if you planning to visit Goryukaku Fort, Hakodate Bay & Mount Hakodate. Definitely, value for your money

Great Place To Stay”

The staff very helpful and friendly. Tho they not speaking english well but they assist us in every need. The location is very convenience, nearby tram station and hakodate train station you can walk to hakodate morning market as well as the red brick (15-20 min walk). Value for money! The hotel is quite old but clean.

Good Location and Friendly Staff”

The hotel is near to Hakodate Station. Besides that, the tram station just opposite the hotel. The staff of this hotel are friendly and they are very willing to help us to call to Toya Hotel for booking the shuttle bus service. You can enjoy the free coffee next to the lobby of hotel too. We are enjoyed to stay in this hotel.

This hotel have a strategic location..very near with jr hakodate and morning market..clean room and very friendly staff..recommended hotel in hakodate..but if looking hotel for food and shopping better option stay at goryokaku area..

Walking distance to morning market, bus station & Hakodate JR Station. City tram station just right in front of the hotel, which the day pass cost ¥600 can purchase from Information counter at JR Station, very convenient & economic to hanging around the city. Additionally, 7-11 store just opposite the hotel.

comfortable hotel at a great location”

excellent location, within short walking distance from the hakodate jr station and the hakodate asaichi (morning market). a city tram station is right infront of the hotel. there are also several good eateries around the hotel, especially a very good yakitori restaurant round the corner. hotel is comfortable and has rooms catering to families of 3 adults. the twilight bar is a nice place to relax and have a drink in the evenings. beautiful view of the hakodate bay.

Excellent location for a first timer to Hakodate!”

Great comfort at a reasonable budget. Most Japanese hotel rooms are cosy-sized so we were happy that the room has got the floor space to put two luggages! Bed is also comfortable, right next to the window where you can have a beautiful view of the mountains of Hakodate!

left my ring at the previous hotel in Noboribetsu, the staff at the reception helped me to call the hotel and arranged the parcel to be sent to my next hotel at Sapporo. really grateful for his help. will definitely visit again and say hi if ever i am in Hakodate again
