Great Hotel with Excellent Service”
we stayed at the chedi club suite room for 4 days and absolutely love every bit of it. the spacious room, the interior decoration, the romantic setting, the complimentary mini bar and coffee machine. our chedi experience started the moment we stepped out of chiang mai airport and were being greeted by the cheerful staff holding up the chedi sign and then we were being chaffered by another friendly mercedes limo driver. only tiny thing lacking was the complete toiletries e.g toothbrush, toothpaste and we have to request for each item but that was quickly fixed in 5 mins. as we arrived very late at midnight, we were excited to wake up early the next day to check out the hotel. we have our breakfast at the club lounge on the 2nd floor and were delighted at the breakfast spread. for dinner, we tried the restaurant and the food was pricey for chiang mai standards but was all well worth it. as the weather was so unbearably hot, we were happy to hang out by the pool and enjoy the chedi experience. the suite was very spacious and with the daybed on the huge balcony, it feels almost like home. it was peaceful and relaxing within the vicinity of hotel compared to the chaos of the night market within 500m from the hotel. we would like to thank everyone in chedi for spoiling us and to those who has made our stay so enjoyable and pleasurable, including your recommendation to mrs nok, our personal driver. we will definitely go back to chedi chiang mai for more pampering.

Luxury hotel at affordable prices!”
FANTASTIC HOTEL!!! Highly recommended! Will be coming back for sure! From the moment you walk into the Chedi Chiang Mai, you are greeted with warm smiles and the feeling of royalty. Simple elegance describes this hotel to a tee. They utilise the natural surrounds to create an oasis in the middle of the urban city. The rooms are spacious with lovely modern natural decor and the pillows are incredible! We are trying to get our hands on them as we speak! The pool is great for winding down after a day out shopping and the room service is spectacular! This hotel prides itself in providing exceptional customer service - and so it should! Warm smiles all around and they will try their very best to accommodate your every need. The hotel spa is a definite must if relaxation and self spoilage are your intentions. It may be a bit pricey, but it is WELL worth it! Room service is top notch as well as the mango and black rice dessert - to die for! For breakfast, the french toast is a MUST! THE BEST WE'VE HAD BY FAR! Overall, a great luxury hotel with fantastic above and beyond customer service at affordable prices within close proximity to the night bazzar. THE CHEDI CHIANG MAI WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!

Absolutely Perfect”
My wife and I stayed here during our visit to Chiang Mai from 4/16-4/20, this was on a recommendation from friends who spent part of their honeymoon here. The way they described it, I thought it was a bit overblown, they hyped this place up so much that I thought if I expect too much I may be let down. BOY WAS I WRONG, it was everything they said and MORE! When we entered the lobby of the airport, we were greeted by an employee from the hotel who was providing us with a free private shuttle back to the hotel. From that moment, the amazing service and hospitality began. We were immediately greeted in the lobby and brought to the Kasara Lounge for our private check in, since we were staying in the Kasara Suite(pool side). I wish I could remember everyones name who worked there so I can give a personal mention to all. They were the nicest people we have probably ever met. Each employee made you feel comfortable and were willing to go above and beyond to provide great service. The room was great, extremely clean and a great size, we had poolside suite on the first level. With the suite, came the free cocktails and canapes in the Kasara Lounge from 6-8 every night. We took advantage of that, drinks were great and food was tasty. The employees remember your name when you walk into the lobby which caught me off guard a few times, normally hotel employees will just go about their work day and walk right by you. We literally did not want to leave this place.Breakfast was also very good. Loved the Two fried eggs sunny side, bacon was crispy, fruit was fresh! The location wasn't bad also, only a few blocks to the night bazaars and a short tuk tuk ride to the old city. The hotel is more on the expensive side in comparison to other places in Thailand, but it was worth every penny! If we can muster up the change to come back to Chiang Mai in the future, there is no doubt in my mind that we will be staying here.

charmed by the chedi - chiang mai”
I had read several favorable reviews of The Chedi when planning our 4 days/ 3 nights stay in Chiang Mai. I wanted to surprise my fiance with a luxurious hotel stay in a hotel with all the modern conveniences AND individual charm. The Chedi was a perfect match. The mix of modern and traditional architecture alone was fantastic. Room service did not disappoint. The front desk staff were extremely helpful when arranging a driving tour (driver and tour guide included) to visit the major points of interest around Chiang Mai. It was also extremely convenient without being in the center of everything like other major hotels. Since we visited during low season we were able to benefit from special pricing that sweetened the deal even more. We highly recommend the Chedi and can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful hotel with a captivating staff”
Chedi Chiang Mai was a very positive experience for me. A friend of a friend recommended it and I became very well impressed. To start the staff exceeded my expectations from the moment I've stepped in the hotel. I let them know previously that I would be check in late and when I arrived they not only were waiting for me but also had upgraded my room to a more luxury version. Great present! Then, during my stay they did everything to help even with little things that can be time consuming such as booking transportation to Chiang Rai, cookery courses, etc, and were very keen to give recommendations regarding things to do in Chiang Mai. Additionally, the hotel is very well located, close to the night market and has a beautiful setting overlooking the river. It is very relaxing to have breakfast in their restaurant sitting under this beautiful tree while enjoying a view to the river. The pool is extremely refreshing specially after a very warm day visiting temples. If someday I return to Chiang Mai I would stay again in the Chedi.

Stylish hotel for rest and relaxation”
We stayed at The Chedi Hotel from the 24th of July until the 31st of July, to celebate my 50th birthday in style. After reading the many positive reviews of The Chedi, we are pleased to say they exceeded our expectations. The hotel location is very central to the main shopping destinations, you can walk quite easily from the hotel to restaurants if you don't want to eat n the hotel. If the shopping and hustle get to you, arriving back into the foyer of the hotel immediately starts to allow you to unwind. We stayed (like many) in the club rooms. Whilst expensive for Chiang Mai accomodation, I would say it offers exceptional value for money. We used both the club and the riverside locaton for breakfast. The club was our haven for the evening coktail/canapes. In fact, the only money we spent on food was for our evening meals. If you can afford it, spend the extra on the club rooms. The room size alone is worth it. We were always greeted with a smile and the service was exceptional. We have stayed in hotels in Phuket, Khao Lak, Krabi, Singapore and many other destinatons in Asia. For me this was the best!

Full service resort”
I've been coming to Chiang Mai for many years and stayed at a wide range of hotels/resort. Anantara is the best place I have stayed, without doubt. Its a little pricey, but the great location on the river bank but within walking distance to the Night Bazaar, Old City and market areas, along with the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the facilities make it a perfect spot. I would happily return. I have no complaints but would make one comment for improvement - the suite I stayed in was large but a little under lit, some additional lighting would help, but seriously, when that's your biggest complaint things have gone very well.

Dear Clayton, Warm greetings from Anantara Chiang Mai Resort. It sounds like you had wonderful stay while here in Chiang Mai. I would agree that our location beside the Ping River is a perfect base from which to explore the best that Chiang Mai has to offer. Such positive feedback is extremely valuable to us, since it encourages our team to deliver the best experiences from the start to finish of each guest’s stay. However please accept my sincere apologize for any inconvenience you experienced regarding in room lighting, as we recognise that some of our guests prefer brighter lighting, we invite our guests to call reception and request brighter bulbs, which our technical team will exchange immediately. You will never want to leave”
I simply cannot say enough about how pleasurable my stay was at The Chedi, Chiang Mai. I have never written a hotel review before, but my experience here was so sublime, I felt compelled to share it with the rest of the world. So here it goes: Ambiance: The pictures on the websites simply do not do it justice. I am not normally into modern aesthetic, but the designers of this hotel have added just the right amount of Thai touches and details that feels comfortable while remaining exceptionally elegant. The Chedi Club Suite is extremely spacious with every amenity and comfort you can think of. The room’s private patio with seating area and day bed make never leaving the room an attractive option. Service: Every staff member I encountered from the driver who picked me up at the airport, the front desk staff, the restaurant workers, to the housekeeping department was exceptionally friendly, attentive and competent. They went beyond the call of duty to provide us with the best experience possible, sometimes even anticipating our needs. From remembering our drink orders to filling the mini bar with my favorite beer and sodas, they made my friend and I feel like we were the most important people in the world. Food: The food offerings were absolutely top notch. I have never seen and tasted such amazing breakfast offerings. Every day I tried something new and they were all delicious (the French toast melts in your mouth). The lunch and dinner menus were also amazing. After one night at another other hotel, my friend and I packed up and went back to The Chedi Club Suite. Even though it is a bit more expensive then the regular rooms, when you factor in the cost of all of the amazing perks – complimentary laundry, mini bar, airport transfers by private car and of course the complimentary cocktails and canapés served graciously at The Chedi Club Lounge, it actually turned out to be an amazing value. When it comes to hotels, I am ruined for life.

Highly Recommended”
Our stay at the Chedi exceeded expectations. We were anticipating a high quality hotel and a pleasant stay - but everything about the stay really exceeded expecations. Most critically the design, architecture and layout of the hotel are extremely well done. When you step off the street of a hot and humid Chiang Mai, and a crowded night bazaar, one feels transported and calm. The attention to detail was impressive and consistent - from the pleasant and attentive service (whether one is at breakfast, poolside, the spa or getting a taxi) - to the small nice touches such as different fresh fruit each day which is displayed with care, the floating candles, the water lilies poolside.. Food was overall very good - tasty and of good quality. A broader selection of Thai dishes would be welcomed, but that is simply a personal preference. A stay at the hotel is a holiday in and of itself - as well as a well located launching point to enjoy Chiang Mai and the area.

beautiful hotel in riverside”
Anantara Chiang Mai was the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed. The internal and external appearance was so beatiful that so mamy guest usually took the photos. The only thing I was disappointed, that it is so close to the street that I had to hear the traffic noise from lobby to room. The staffs were so kind and ready to hear the request of the guests. I appreciate to the manager.

Fantastic attention to detail !”
First of all, I would like to stay that I stayed in a standard room for just under half of what the standard rate is because of a good deal going on agoda. I stayed for 4 nights and by the end of my stay, some of the staff were even addressing me by my name. My package included breakfast, which was spectacular. Great coffee, great food, great service. We did not need to eat much for lunch which is nice. The rooms are nice, even come with an espresso machine, although I did find the bathroom setup to be a little unusual. Unless you close the large sliding door across the bathroom then the toilet is surrounded by frosted glass only. In my opinion it is a minor inconvenience, but I guess the sliding door is there to create a larger, open feel to the room and give it the studio look. Otherwise, the balcony day bed is very nice to enjoy an espresso or cold drink (I went to the nearby 7-11 and bought snacks/drinks to avoid minibar price, only 3min walk) Hotel is incredibly quiet, pool is lovely and staff will certainly bend over backwards to help out, answer questions, and make sure you have what you need. The hotel landscaping is amazing, the lit candles at night are wonderful, and it is a very very relaxing hotel to come home to after a day of exploring Chiang Mai.

Excellent service, lovely hotel”
My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Chedi on a recent trip to Chiang Mai and loved every second of it. From the moment we stepped in the hotel, the service was impeccable and really contributed to our enjoyment of the stay. The breakfast buffet (which was included in our rate) was excellent, both the Thai and Western food options. The pool, right on the bank of the Mae Ping River, was another highlight -- we ended up there each afternoon after a day of sightseeing around the city. Another feature I would highlight is the hotel car/driver -- it is a bit more expensive than hiring a taxi outside the hotel but worth the extra cost (we thought). We found the driver to be very personable and proactive in highlighting points of interest along the route). He even suggested a couple extra stops based on our interests to help round out the trip. Another small service feature that was much appreciated were the ice cold towels and bottles of water that the driver kept in a cooler in the car -- great for counteracting the heat. We stayed in deluxe rooms which were a bit on the small side though still comfortable (I would book the next size up if it is within your budget). Location was great -- walking distance to the old city (20 min) as well as nightlife on the east bank (I would highly recommend the Riverside for the live music). As our stay was during low season, I was able to book the hotel as a great rate and found it to be a very good value.

Beautiful use of space where all is in zen.”
The Chedi is a beautiful hotel where all things are in balance and best use of open space we saw in our two weeks in Thailand. Situated on the banks of the river in Chiang Mai, the Chedi is approximately 20 minutes from the airport, and located in what is revered to as the new city of Chiang Mai. The restaurant caters for all tastes and is a excellent location to unwind overlooking the river at the end of the day. The spa facilities are well priced and offer a great selection of massage options. The staff at the Chedi, Chiang Mai , are well spoken, polite and helpful. Should you decide to stay at the Chedi you won't be disappointed!

most exquisite hotel I've ever been to”
I stayed at the Chedi for 4 nights and having stayed in a number of fantastic places, I was amazed at how impressed I was by the standard of service at Chedi. The rooms and the hotel itsef is utterly beautiful and the service here cannot be matched (I travelled throughout Thailand staying in varius 5 star and Chedi was unmatched for beauty and service) The location is very convenient, near the night market, restaurants, massage parlours, night activity. I would undoubtedly recommend Chedi and anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay and fantastic service. What you pay for, is certainly good value if not more value. If I went back to Chiang Mai, Chedi would be the only place I'd stay. Thank you to all the staff at Chedi for making Chiang mai so memorable and a wonderful experience.

Perfect Stay in ”
this hotel was the single standout from a 9 week trip though se asia. the chedi is magnificent, the public spaces, the rooms, the walkways, the pool and the dining areas are all so tasteful in design and finishing. the beauty of the grounds at night with the countless candles burning, always a hint of armoatherapy on the air and just a beautiful ambience make this a very romantic place to stay. the rooms are beautiful, with quality amenities, tasteful furnishing and quality toiletries provided. the breakfast is superb, with your own plunge coffee of pot tea delivered (invaluable in thailand where good coffee is hard to find), a full buffet of high quality and a la carte options on top. the pool is magnificent. really, you just have to stay there to appreciate how spot on they have got it. i really loved this hotel, and i paid half the price of a room at another hotel prior to arriving in chiang mai. chedi has done it again.

Wonderful oasis in the middle of the city”
The Chedi is a wonderful hotel, an oasis of calmness in the middle of Chiang Mai city, just next to the Ping river, overlooking it from a privileged vantage point. Service, ambiance, amenities and facilities are excellent. The only things I would wish for to make it perfect: - Even though after entering the compound you are surrounded by tranquility and silence, due to the open design of the hotel the rooms are not effectively shut off from the noise of the busy street in front of the hotel - given the 5-star rating and the overall price level of the hotel, a music player docking station and/ or DVD player in the rooms would be a nice add-on - Internet speed, in particular during bad weather, is veeery slow - there are no lights on the balcony/ terrace

Superb”
i loved this hotel. i had a standard room - the cheapest available and it was beautiful. nicely fitted out, quiet and a view over the pool to the river. slept really well in this room. spent a lot of time by the pool sipping mango shakes. the pool is really big for a hotel pool. you can actually swim in it as well as just floating around. and the water is soft and easy on the eyes and skin. had breakfast and dinner there for three days - hardly stepped outside the place - and the food was great every time. really good. thai, indian and western dishes on offer for dinner and i went for the indian every night. it was always delicious. and the breakfast buffet was high quality and varied. also had afternoon tea in the cafe and this was also delicious. food was consistently great. the service standards were uniformly excellent. the staff all were service oriented and english language skills were good - no misunderstandings with language here. all round a beautiful hotel and a great break and sanctuary from the busyness and noise of chiang mai. totally recommended.

beautiful oasis on the river, world class service”
wonderful stay from start (early check-in and free breakfast!) to finish, extended check-out while my wife and i received a massage. one of the nicest most complete hotels we have ever stayed at. food and spa were fantastic. service, from pick-up at airport to greeting by gm to conceriege service that saved us time and money were wonderful. highly recommended. there are three real luxury accommodations in chiang mai, this one is the least visually impressive, it is a city hotel, not a resort like four season or mo, but the location could not be any better to expire the markets and city. steps from night market and best exchange center in town for $$. highest recommendation

Great hotel!”
I stayed at the Chedi taking advantage of the special low rate during the low season. I would like to come back in winter when it is cooler in Chiang Mai, but not sure if I can afford the rate. The only thing I did not like is lack of aircon in the lobby... Chiang Mai is unbearably hot in May. My friends complained of the drilling noise and were promptly sent to an upgraded room and received a bottle of champagne as an apology. All in all - a great hotel!
