Unfriendly Staff, Tired&Worn Hotel Needs Updating
close to temple, wireless internet worked well
Stained carpet and furniture, beds uncomfortable. Bathroom clean but tired which was pretty representative of entire facility. Staff at front desk unfriendly and seemed disturbed that we interrupted them on both check in and out, we asked for a copy of final bill which they refused to provide. We did not eat in the dining room, the breakfast was a buffet for 20,000 KRW per person which we thought a bit expensive since we had a full dinner for 3 of us in a nice restaurant in town for 33,000 KRW the night before. Convenient location to temple 10 minute walk.

Perfectly located for Bulguksa and Seokguram
Staff didn't bother us, room price was of reasonable value and it wasn't too busy.
We checked in quite late on the first night. Bit of a language barrier as they seemed to be catering for Japanese tourists more but not a huge problem. Very convenient for the major tourist attractions. The staff were pleasant and not at all intrusive. Lobby was well maintained but the rooms are close to needing renovation. Comfortable stay.

it was horrible
no nothing
=first of all, they didnt know about my reservation which made me feel quite unpleasant. the hotel is too much overpriced and outdated. the hotel room smelled mould. so tiny and not worthy of staying there, even if you want to go to bulguksa, i dont want to recommend this hotel. this was the worst hotel ever!

Comfortable but dated
Large room, next to main temple, golf course.
A fair way out of town amongst the greens of the golf course. Stayed out of season so pool was drained. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast 'buffet' is a rip-off; not a buffet but a poorly cooked meagre selection of food. Eg. Continental breakfast is three pieces of bread. The staff don't speak much English so were unable to be very helpful.

traditional korean hotel at perfect location
feeling of solidity and experience
The rooms are spacious and quiet, there was neither notable noise from inside nor from outside the building. Much appreciated the very comfortable hard mattress, the big mirrors, the wifi, the modern TV with plentiful channels, the experienced and professional staff, the convenience store inside the hotel. There are many things to explore in the vicinity and in the hotel, but unfortunately stayed only one night and had not much time.

Best for Bulguksa Temple/Seokguram Grotto
Affords great access to two Unesco tourist sights
We stayed at hotel because of it location. We only had one day/night free to visit and this hotel gave us the chance to visit the temple in the late afternoon we arrive and the grotto in the early morning before we checked out. Hotel is very old and while clean it does feel old. New covers on the beds would certainly brighten the aspect. Seems to have great facilities, golf course, play area for kids but we did not look at these as the sightseeing was our only objective. Breakfast was ok, not the most amazing but filled us after our early morning hike up to see Seokguram Grotto. Staff were very courteous and polite.

Good location, needs renovation
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Bulguksa and Dongri Mokwol Museum; and bus ride to Seokguram Grotto.
Overall, the staff and service was great. The location is near 3 major attractions on the Cultural Heritage Stamp Tour (Bulguksa, Donri Mokwol Literary Museum, and Seokguram Grotto which is great for first time visitors to Gyeongju. The taxi cab driver said it was the oldest hotel in Gyeongju and it showed. The furniture and decor were dated.. possibly from the 1970s or 1980s. If the hotel would renovate and revitalize its look for modern times, it would be more attractable for more tourists.

Hotel with a serene location
Peaceful and serene surrounding
Close to Gyeongju's 2 most popular tourist sights. Also close to Gyeongju's MISO performance theater at Cultural EXPO (you should watch this).

Good value for price
Affordable, beautiful surroundings, temple in walking distance
I stayed there for two nights but could have stayed longer for more leisurely sightseeing. staff is helpful, most speak English well enough to point to give good advice, swimming pool was closed unfortunately although it was August
